  1. So I can't pop this on, and load Cogswap/Swap Magic and boot a backup? Great for loading homebrew anyway, but kind of useless to me, as theres no homebrew for PS2 that comes even close to what the Xbox has to offer, I just use my PS2 for games. Edit - I read through those forum posts. Apparantly disc access works on some PS2's, some require a disc in the drive on boot up (Who knows why? Verification of there being a disc in?) and some just work fine without. Others don't work at all. I've got 3 or 4 cards, I think I'll give this a try on one without IDE. Here's 1.4 for those who don't wish to sign up there, or google (You lazy punks) - FREE_MCBOOT_1.4.rar
  2. Win2k drivers will work just fine in XP, they're both NT kernel. Philips makes alot of stuff that is rebadged through subsidiaries. Like this POS wireless gamepad I bought that WILL NOT work. grrr
  3. That's incorrect. I think there is only a very special case that BenQ requires soldering and I think it depends on if you want to flash it with a computer that doesn't have a VIA/nVidia chipset. But don't quote me on it. Other than that, you can flash the BenQ fine without soldering. Check out Textbook's tutorial. You are correct, but I, won't touch a motherboard with VIA anywhere on it, and I don't do NvIdia so buying a board with their chipset makes no sense. In any case without either of those chipsets (Highly likely given the number of available chipsets) you WILL have to solder a switch.
  4. BenQ drives require soldering. Anything else I believe is pretty much "plug n play" with regards to flashing.
  5. I closes this thread, and I am warning you both in text. Carry this any further otherwise, and it will be a real warning. You are BOTH fanboys of your own nature and are too nearsighted to see it. Express your opinion and MOVE ALONG or discuss in a civil manner if need be. Too much sparks, I turn on hose before flames errupt.
  6. And none of you think he'll go right to Microsoft as a first party dev? I can see it. If not there, somewhere that is at least a direct opponent to Tecmo.
  7. Cheap drugs will do this to you.....
  8. I for one, am getting sick of the MULTIMEDIA BOX craze. I want a GAMES CONSOLE, get rid of this multimedia CRAP, that's what I have a PC for, and that's what HTPCs are for. GTFO and stop charging me for stuff I don't want. This is probably half the reason the Wii is selling so well.
  9. I own a 1994 Dodge Spirit, and it's VERY good on gas. Took it to work roughly 40km each way, the gas gauge didn't budge. It stays here for the wife though, I go to work with my dad to save money. I think I've put about $80 in gas in the thing since I got it in the winter, and at least 400km.
  10. Only liars will tell you they can tell the difference on any size TV. HDMI may be digital, but the best that does is eliminate noise that analog technology is more susceptible to (Which is non existant with a properly shielded cable that isn't 300 feet long and runs through your entire house), and it carries audio as well. It's DVI with audio, NOTHING more. As for 26"+ 1080p only, that isn't true. However you will have a very hard time finding a set smaller than that, as even at 36", 1080p over 720/1080i is IMPOSSIBLE to tell the difference, unless.......like I said before, you're a liar.
  11. Sucks to be either of you, I set the ground rules before I got married. One of those being I'll look at whatever I want, and comment if I like.......as long as I don't touch, STFU. Wife's cool with that anyway.
  12. Psst, the first day of summer is June 21st. Suckers......
  13. I'm not worried either. Prove I ever share anything. You can't pinpoint my data to precise files, you can't prove anything in our court system with regards to exactly what my activities were/are. I'm not on the street selling physical copies. I know our legal system well, and I'm far from afraid. Best come to my door with the swat team, cause you otherwise aren't getting in without a bat in the face. Lawsuit? What's that? We aren't Americans, you can't sue for anything here unless it truly causes a person/person lost wages or whatnot. There's no "Pain and suffering" here like in the US for spilling McDonalds coffee in your own lap. BITE ME CORPORATE GREED! BITE ME HARD!
  14. Can't be to learn how to read, cause sadly.....the number is around 40%. WTF I'll say.... Debt Relief? A Vacation? I don't know?
  15. Guess I never even bothered looking into it, seeing as I have a Dreamcast.......which also kind of sucks for emulation. Glad I have my Xbox, no burning discs all the time for emulators.
  16. WTF, is this like the first ever piece of homebrew for the Saturn? I was never aware there was any to begin with.
  17. Not really, considering the CPS-1 games you speak of, utilize a Z80......something the x68k computers lack. It's co-processor is something else (Wikipedia lists it as UNKOWN, so it's def not a Z80)
  18. Psst, so does the Genesis/SCD. It too runs a Motorola 68k CPU, has a Z80 which controls the Yamaha 2612 and Ti SN7649. The x68k sports no Z80, but a Yamaha 2151 which the 2612 is backwards compatible with. Technically, the Genesis is a superior x68k and would logically be more capable of "perfect" ports than the x68k.
  19. I moved into my house on May 1st, I had no time for any sort of get together. I'm buying a new motorcycle soon, maybe we can meet up then for take pictures.
  20. My WiFi card in my main desktop was the culprit in a case just like this. Try finding newer drivers for anything you can, and see if the problem goes away. If not, start disabling/uninstalling hardware one by one until it does. Like disable a network card, and leave the computer overnight, if it doesn't happen......theres a good chance it's at fault. Test again to be sure. Not all hardware problems present themselves as crashes, some just lockup the computer, which sucks cause it's hard to diagnose. Usually those, are expansion hardware like PCI cards of any kind.
  21. I get this on my PCs, with manual configuration and DHCP off on my router. It doesn't seem to cause any problems though, as the network adapters are infact assigned an IP address and the internet works. I just go into the properties, hit OK and it stops. As for on your DS, with Win2DS......I don't know what you can do. Just make sure if you are using manual settings, that DHCP is infact OFF on your router. In either case, make sure your subnet mask matches. (Usually 255.255.255.0). You should also have the gateway set to the IP of your router.
  22. EVERYTHING is downloaded, and cached by your browser. Any site/add-on that says otherwise is silly. Even streamed items are cached.
  23. I'm anti-social, nobody I know in my age range can carry on an intelligent conversation, so I have very few friends. The ones I do have, are anywhere from 5-15 years older than I am. I assume people are stupid from the start, because unfortunately in my experience, most are. I know this isn't the best way to think, but when something presents itself as truth 9/10 times........ I've also been told MANY times that I appear intimidating, not the case, but couple that with the lack of me approaching others for the aforementioned reasons and you can see why I'm far from talkative.
