Stop spreading the "Dreamcasts made after x can't play backups" rumor. It's BS and has been disproven years ago. EVERY Dreamcast can play backups, from any region. There is the possibility of later models not being able to run Mil-Data based selfboot method discs, but those are few and far between after other methods were found quickly. I repeat, ALL Dreamcasts can run backups.

Theres alot of stories in it (Most finished, others not or finished by his son) that piece together past history in the Middle Earth timeline, as well as things inbetween books. I'm sure some will be taken from it, to be put to use in this sequelprequel between The Hobbit and LOTR.

Ah yes, but you know, games that start out and finish on hardware a few generations later, usually have assloads of polish. Silicon Knights has been around since the days of the Atari ST, and they've not released alot. What they have though, have been epic proportion successes though. Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen (If you don't think this game is awesome, go crawl in a hole and die) Eternal Darkness (I believe this actually started on the N64. As far as I'm concerned, makes SH+RE games look like preschool. Play this $hit alone in the dark at 2am, and tell me you don't at least get spooked. Beyond Metroid Prime, this was the reason I bought a Cube.) MGS Twin Snakes (Ok so not an original IP, but they did one hell of a job) I've played Steel Empires on my ST, long ago, but I never was into those kinds of games. Can't say I remember it being bad though, just not my kind of game. I forsee Too Human being one badass trilogy.

I'm pretty busy lately, but I've mostly been playing PES 2008 on the PC. I'm quite surprised that i still keep playing, I'm far from being a soccer fan. Also playing (A short burst here and there).... Gears of War - PC Crysis - PC NHL 08 - PC (This game is better in some ways to previous, but damn theres a few bug fixes it REALLY needs. Yeah but when does the temperature ever go anywhere near freezing there? Never, so you're used to consistent heat, I'm not. It's as low as -30c in the winter, and as high as +40c in the summer (Plus humidity, it's been 46 degrees with the humidity here before) around here, theres no consistency. That's -22f to +104f, try getting used to that, by the time you've adjusted to it being hot as hell, it's already cooling off and heading towards winter.

I'd rather have -20 and lots of snow, than have it be so hot that I can't stand to go outside. At least I can put more clothes on, I can't walk around nude when it's too hot, and that wouldn't do anything anyway. I hate the summer, when it's like 35 degrees, especially where I work as we have 4 ovens for drying paint that run at 300 degrees.

Ok, here's some pics. It's no worse than where Wizard is, maybe even less...but those snowbanks, those are the half melted remnants of 2 weeks ago. Yes, they were almost 7 f**king feet high! I was snowed in. I've shoveled twice today.

1 hour north of the GTA, about 9 inches here. 2 weeks ago tuesday, over 2 feet. Those pictures are nothing I haven't seen......I'll go take a pic in my driveway. As for the GTA, are you kidding? Those wimps get 2 inches of snow and they're calling in the army......

You should NEVER see smoke come from a PSU, EVER. Take it back and return it ASAP. Also, do you have a surge protector? You should always hook up your electronics to one. I have my PC and everything for it (printer etc) on a surge protector, as well as my TV and consoles etc on one. I've seen PSU's blow up due to a surge.

ZiNc ported to the Xbox would run alot better than MAME, for ZN series games that is. System 11......forget about it, don't even go there.

Belthasar, your shell is loaded on startup via a registry key. That program merely does what other fixes would do, such as a reg key saved to a file, but with a pretty interface. Infact, everything that tool does appears to be tied to the registry. As for cleaning your registry, yes it is a good idea, unused keys make the registry larger(filetypes that are no longer used, such as for an uninstalled program, file locations that no longer exist, null value keys)........and we all know what larger files cause. Slowdown. A smaller, cleaner registry will let your computer boot faster as well as work faster when it is running. Use proper programs designed just for that though, that are reputable (sporting favorable reviews).

HTML, flash belongs in the dumpster along with PDF, Real Media and all other proprietary formats that suck.

I thought you were talking about games/emulators ON a mobile phone. I just got my new phone like 2 hours ago, and my wife is already rolling her eyes because I'm playing Gameboy and NES games on it. If you are, you really need to look up your phone and see what OS it's running. Symbian 60 phones have "better" software, but less around. S40 phones have more available, but aren't as powerful. Theres lots of free games, but it appears not very many emulators.

I do, I've had one for a good 5 years now, modded it pretty much right away. I can see why it failed though, besides a small handful of mainly 1st party games, the only games worth playing are arcade port fighters, if you're into them. I like Radiant Silvergun, but I'm not much into shmups. The Panzer Dragoon games make me go "WTF" when people talk about them like they are so awesome, I think they blow. I also think NiGHTS sucks @$$ too. I really think Sega fans are just looking to give themselves a reason for owning a Saturn, when there isn't much of one. Don't think I'm being negative here though, I own a good 13 games and I enjoy most of them, and the system is quite capable for it's time..........just most games were pathetic, most 3rd party devs didn't (see: couldn't) take advantage of the hardware. Oh and Blacknight, the Saturn version of SOTN is indeed inferior in technical aspects to the Playstation version, but the addition of those levels, remixed music from original Castlevania games and costumes etc make it worth the play. As far as I'm concerned, no Castlevania fan should be without EITHER version.

What about the EZ-Flash 5? I'd save $10 or more going with that, is it worth it when all I want to do is run backups and MAYBE toy with homebrew?

Mooney, the wife's cool with me buying a DS, I'll be getting one after Christmas as one of my presents (And I'll be using gift cards I know I'm getting to pay for it in part). There's some things I'd like to know though. I can keep the flash cart I bought off you, and run GBA games just like I would on a GBA right? This would mean, I could buy a DS flash cart and not a passme, for just running DS games right? What do you suggest that I get? I want enough space, or the option for SD cards, to run 64MBit+ games, and I just want the cart for DS stuff alone.
