The only thing I've seen that is really crazy, is an accident right infront of my eyes at 5:30am. Last November 1st, some idiot decided he was going to try and pass like 10 cars in a row on a 2 lane road I take to work. He got only about 2 car lengths ahead of us, when I turned and told my dad (I carpool to work with him), who was driving, and said "That moron is going to hit someone". Not a second later, all I see is spinning headlights. Sure enough, he tried to turn his car to the ditch, but at a good 160km/hr you ain't turning nowhere and a pickup truck coming the other way plowed right into his passenger door. When the dust settled, you would think the car/truck were going in the opposite direction they really were because the impact caused them both to do a 180 in the air. Let me tell you, that was THE worst experience of my life, as we pulled over and I was the first on the scene. His passenger door killed him.........in the driver seat. The only thing keeping his body in the car, was his drivers door that was pinned into the ground, his seat broke right off it's mounts. The guy in the pickup was in rough shape, but was conscious and he lived. The guy in the car, dead on impact....face look like hamburger. Thankfully an EMT and police officer were on their way to work as well, so I handed things over to them very quickly. I couldn't talk the rest of the way to work, and I couldn't sleep for a week. I've seen some sick crap, but I had never seen such a violent impact before.

You guys aren't coming out with much. How about eating an entire jar of crushed garlic (The stuff in water or brine, I couldn't tell) in a sandwich with peanut butter, tobasco sauce, mustard and honey? Most likely a signal contact, or a loop for quick charging. These lithium batteries that charge very fast, don't waste/lost any current. That or it's a 2 cell, 4 state Li-Ion that would make that 3rd pin definitely a comms pin. If the battery is in a "trickle" state with less than 5v (As an example), the charger would only deliver a lower draw so as to not damage a possibly faulty battery (Sony-splosion anyone?)

The question is VERY vague. Are we talking 3 contacts on the battery itself, or are we talking plugging the unit into the wall for charging? If it's the latter, it would be due to AC>DC conversion (Most using a bridge rectifier).

Used to own an NES, SNES, Master System and Genesis but I have no use for cart based systems I can emulate. I only collect CD\DVD based systems now. Will be buying a Wii, 360 and PS3 in the future, after all the early adopters iron the bugs out for me and pay the higher price

Had a 3DO and a Jaguar I sold, don't regret selling either as they were both overpriced as were their games that sucked for the most part. I now have a 3DO again, but after selling the games off I made a profit while KEEPING the hardware. Have no use for a Jaguar, ALL the games suck. Had a Gameboy, broke it. Not sure what happened to my SNES, though I think I gave it away.

I've already experienced truly legal uses of BitTorrent. Many companies are distributing their demo's and freeware using torrents instead of your normal HTTP/FTP server. Even some hardware manufacturers have started distributing driver packages and software bundles for their hardware via torrents. I also don't think people will prefer turning to illegal downloads. If things like movies, music and video games weren't so damn overpriced people would be more inclined to buy them. Digital Downloads for even cheaper would be a blessing. The average music CD here? $20. I'm not paying more than $7.99 for a CD EVER. The average DVD movie here? $22. Why the hell should I pay this much for something I'll probably only watch 1 or 2 times? Renting it is a waste of money too, because it's a good 1/3 the price just to rent it. Games? Don't get me started. The average new game costs $69.99 here. WTF!? How am I supposed to afford to buy games when they are so expensive? If you buy 10 games in a year, that's $700! Not to mention hardware costs. Downloadable content skips the disc pressing, distribution and advertising (In stores) cost. Savings could be HUGE if companies weren't so damn greedy.

No religion for me thanks, I don't agree with the views of any one religion enough and I refuse to believe in "mythical beings". Have no problem with anyone else's beliefs, just don't talk to me about them. I also think things like Religion, Politics and the like have no place in public discussion. These things should be reserved for private, organized talk.

Once GC gets around to implementing my layout, this will not be an issue. Have some patience, but know that none of your ideas are even close. Well......the Reaper Man's idea is somewhat close. I'd implement it myself like right now (As the only real effort would be moving posts that don't fit where they currently are), but I'm not doing it without the authorization to do so.

Global warming is a MYTH! You tell me when it's so cold here these days that it can't snow (Yes, the temperature has to be warm, if you want to call it that, for it to snow) and your nostrils freeze together (I wear a ski mask walking down the street FFS!) being outside for 5 minutes, that global warming is real.

It is indeed Firewire, but the connector doesn't look standard fare (Good luck finding a service manual or anything on Hitachi's site, the only thing I could find for your model was a listing of accessories that also apply to other models). I'd take it to any computer store, and have them see if it takes your standard 4-pin Firewire cable, could just be the picture making it appear that way. If it does, and you don't have Firewire on your PC, you can get a PCI Firewire card very cheap on Ebay or anywhere really.

By the looks of it, only with the cable the camera came with. You give to me model number, and I give to you instruction manual, or at least enough information. To be honest, that actually looks more like mini-USB to me than firewire.

None of my own, but one of my brothers. Caught him sleepwalking up the basement stairs at a friends, I took him with me for the weekend. He made it half way up the stairs, and proceeded to take a piss..........into my friends little sisters winter boots! I yelled at him "WTF are you doing!?" and he replied "Going to the bathroom". "Yeah, into so-and-so's boots!", in response I got "No, I'm going in the toilet" as he continued to go. It wasn't until I stood right beside him and spoke loud and cuffed him upside the head did he wake up and stop, at least I think he was awake. Now THAT is funny. Edit: Oh I remember my mother telling me she used to hear me telling people what to do at work, in my sleep. My wife now tells me I order coffee in my sleep, but oddly enough, not with what I drink in it.

Haven't seen a good snowfall in my area of Canada in like 8+ years, sold BOTH my snowmobiles because of it. Hell a few years ago I was seeing rain in February......wrong, so wrong. I hope we get pounded this year, I want to buy another snowmobile and not regret it. Used to ride my GT snowracer off the roof of my 2 story house the snow got so high when I was younger. Drifts could reach right to the roof sometimes. BTW, 2 degrees here right now.........wife wants me to go get coffee from Tim's. HA!

Here's my screenies from Metroid Prime Hunters (U). Unfortunately I'm relegated to an X300 (Seller was supposed to send an X600) until I can RMA my x1650 Pro. Works great, have to disable fog in the video plugin options though, and sound is buggy (Though it appears sound is buggy in general) FPS 58-78 depending on what is going on on-screen.
