This is a variant of my Fire & Steel skin for Final Burn Legends. Splashscreen mockup: Main Menu mockup: Rombrowser mockup: The pics look a little dark, but its lighter on your TV. I designed this with a single video/screenshot in mind, using the arcade cab screen. Looks much better with videos, if you have a set of them, although pics look good too. I haven't done a Dual screen version, as the space was limited for what I was doing. Still undecided about a 1280 x 720 version, as its tricky doing this without an HD TV. If there is enough interest I will consider it. As before, I have included an Extras folder with a few rombrowser BG options with different characters on the background. You have to manually copy the rombrowser file you want over the existing one to swap these around. Maybe nes could implement some sort of rotating rombrowser BG feature in a future update.... I also put in a rombrowser background without the characters if you prefer to stretch down your rom list "blade" to allow for more rom listings. Choices are always good... Blue Fire Arcade 640 x 480 SD version skin: Download (9mb): http://www.mediafire.com/?zhm2zmzjf5z Hope you like it. I'll use this opportunity to re-release my Fire & Steel 640 x 480 skin version too. I have included all the extra rombrowser BG's I did (12 in all) and did a quick tidy up with the screenshot box placements. Single preview optimised version: (all BG characters) Mockup: Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?m2oouzgznzi Dual preview optimised version (no BG characters): Mockup: Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?hjgn4zknlmd Fire & Steel 1280 x 720 Version: Mockup: Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?y0nyoimn2nw

My fire & steel skin for Final Burn Legends

The 1280 x 720 version of my skin is now ready for download. Big thanks to cbagy for setting up the configs for the 720 version, good work mate. Its pretty hard testing this HD stuff without an HD TV...lol. Cbagy set it up with 3 configs, heres a few quick mockups: Double Preview: Vertical Title & Preview: Single preview: I have put 12 different rombrowser backgrounds in the EXTRAS folder, so when you want to swap them around, just "copy" (NOT "move") the one you want over the existing one in the Fire & Steel folder. The rombrowsers are pretty much the same as the 640 x 480 ones, some are a little rejigged with the extra space I could use. Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?y0nyoimn2nw (23mb) Hope you like it. -
You have just shown yourself for what you really are bp...nice thread for the those unaware of your unbelievable behaviour to read. No point in writing a big piece here, you can't read very well anyway. Look what you have done to the scene you fucking loser. There, thats only a few lines, you should be able to handle that. Sorry to lose you in the Xbox scene nes, real tragedy that.
-
If this was "all crap" as you put it, why would you get the thread reply that you did from nes??? Did he sound happy to you? Did he approve of what you did? Nes is so much more talented than you...and this is how you show him respect? You muppet.... Edit: hhmmm...you want to close this thread too. thats a suprise.
-
No one needs to know "your" details bp, its all out there on 2 threads in here, one of which just happens to now be locked (sound familiar?).
-
I vote for nes to do it & keep the source private. I only saw an hour or so ago that nes' work was stolen by BP & inserted into Coinops, no real surprises there then. I agree that this will be a (bad) turning point for the Xbox emu scene, putting off potential devs. Whats next, Coinops running Alien vs Predator? Through a patch..lol.

Wanna a video of my nuts? I do...lol.

Awesome work again nes, impressive list of improvements.

My fire & steel skin for Final Burn Legends
NEIL222 replied to NEIL222's topic in Final Burn (FBA/FBL/FBC)
I used some of the characters from an old FBA pro skin I did, to make some more rombrowser backgrounds. Also put in some other BG's I did too. In this "pack" are the following BG's: Akuma, Balrog & Sagat: Mai, Terry & Kim: The Hulk: Demitri & Jedah: Guy and Ninja turtle: Anakaris: Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?nfmwy43kyfd -
Capcom games don't need a special rom to load like Neo Geo ones do. Also the "babe" save you are refering to is for CoinOPS, not Final Burn Legends. Go through your MSDASH and delete your save for Final Burn Legends in there. Then try again after a reboot.

Not sure if this will help, but did you "refresh" your game list after deleting some games? edit: Must have been typing at the same time as Neoryu...lol.

Here You go: Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?4mm2tgx0n2z 720 & 1080 still coming, getting help configuring it from a good friend of mine. -
Any chance of being able to switch between different rombrowser BG files through the GUI options? (Rather than doing it manually through XBMC, Boxplorer etc)

Meant to include a BG with no characters in the package, for those who wish to use dual screens (at a decent size), or add your own characters... Here is the link for the "rombrowser" with no characters: http://www.mediafire.com/?jzwtgrxgjyy You can drop this folder into the "Extras" folder of my skin. -

lol... Nah, no plug-ins involved here mate. To anyone wanting to make this kind of text effect used in my logo, just go to this "metal effect" Photoshop tutorial: http://www.psgallery.co.uk/index.php?page=...rials/metaltext. The way to get either the chrome look (final burn) or the gold look (Legends), is to vary your "bevel" at the start of the tutorial... btw, while I'm at it, here's a tutorial for producing the same effect as seen in CoinOPS "fire text", for anyone wanting that look, use this tutorial: http://10steps.sg/tutorials/photoshop/text-on-fire-effect/ Its always good to help out other users who may want to do stuff like this... All good in the end. -
This is a skin I designed for nes' awesome emu FBL. I had a fire & steel theme in mind with arcade characters. This is a 640 x 480 SD skin. 720 / 1080 to follow later. Heres a pic of my new splashscreen: New rombrowser screen: Also dropped in an "extras" folder that has other rombrowser screens, that gives you the choice of swapping the b/g characters around. I included: and: To swap these around, you will have to copy (not move) the one you want, over the existing "rombrowser" file. I used the dynamic skin engine & the only "fixed" item is the rom name bar at the bottom. If you have overscan issues, you can always adjust the GUI through the options menu. Thanks to nes6502 for the emu & advice on skinning. Also, cbagy for honest opinions & advice, frankmorris fo rthe tip on moving white boxes! Hope you like it. 640 x 480 SD download: http://www.mediafire.com/?a3imhc2gzwu

Have to definetly agree with this statement. FBL really is great, what with the cheat system, game guide system, GUI, the list goes on...

FBL is not a "good" emulator. It's an unbelievably fantastic port of a fantastic PC emulator. It should be on anyone's Xbox who likes arcade games (how's that for modesty? =)). It's not perfect, but it's about as close as it can be on the Xbox. No one said you couldn't talk about "facts" or comparisons. Keep these points in mind: This thread is about moving "FBL forward" and nothing else. People do care about honest comparisons from veteran users to know what the best options are. This is not a CoinOps thread nor is it a place to compare or contrast CoinOps and FBL. This is a thread about FBL and I clearly put the things in the first post that I wanted people to post to help improve it. FBL is not MAME nor is it meant to compete with MAME. I am not interested in increasing compatibility in FBL beyond what the PC version supports. If I wanted to do that I would have just ported MAME. The only thing you seem to be interested in posting is what's wrong with FBL and how CoinOps is the answer. That's not necessary. Anyone can see how a game plays in each and determine which works better. In the end CoinOps is great. So is FBL. They both emulate certain games better than the other. They both should be on everyone's Xbox. Why can't people enjoy both? However, you feel so threatened by FBL you have been on a constant attack since it came out. You act like you've been trying to help improve it. That you are somehow a victim. Who am I supposed to have "real dialog" with? Isn't that what everyone has posted in this thread? This thread is full of "real dialog". You act like you are the answer to fixing problems in FBL. You're not. In many ways I am not. It's the FBA developers. This is a port. If it doesn't work correctly on the PC then it won't work here either. There's nothing I can do. There's nothing you or anyone else can do. No amount of "real dialog" will fix games that don't work on the PC. If you continue attacking FBL, then the latest MAME will be my next port. I have no interest in doing this, but you are motivating me with every post. How long do you think people will remember CoinOps with a port of the latest MAME with the GUI of FBL\ZsnexBox? lol.....nice. That would be awesome.

Nice, thanks nes.

Nice reply there nes...good job. As expected, the thread was hijacked...not at all suprising really. Keep up your good work nes, you are a true developer.
