Of course they don't mean FPS. Those games will be here to stay, probably till the end of time.
They mean those old skool shootemups, where you have a ship (or similar) and fly across the screen, mowing down droves of enemies who are to stupid to try and dodge them. Oh the memories...

Yay!! Now I'm excited!!! Finally i can the 3D fighters that run to slow on MAME. On a sour note, looks like theres no Tekken Tag. Oh Well! Can't have them all!!!

Me, I play to win. Winning is fun.
to me "playing for fun" is an excuse coachs and parents use to make losing sting less.
losing should sting, that way it motivates you to get better.
The true spirit of humanity should not be competion, but co-operation. That'd put an end to all wars and stupid conflicts, and usher us into a new world of peace and prosperity. That's why I play for fun (although wiping the floor with my little brother used to be very fun
) yeah in a ideal world. but a fighting game is a competition. there has to be a winner and a loser, I'd rather be the winner.

When you dont wat to pay anything at all for the songs is another matter though. Don't know how their going to solve that
even with out file sharing they can't stop that. people have been recording off the radio, video taping MTV, and bootlegging concerts forever. I have plenty of bootlegged concerts and taped mtv videos that to my knowledge (I've looked plenty) are not available on peer to peer.
But how many people do this? I bet not enough to hurt the business. File sharing on the other hand...

The final matches in Super Puch Out was pretty frustrating, until you figured out their routines and weakneses.

Just remembered another classic;
Super Punch Out from the Snes. That game rocked hard. Smooth controls, cartoony graphics, just plain cool. I know there's a 3d game like this (forgot what its called), but i would really like a new 2D version of this game with new characters and cameos of the old ones.

Theoretically, i think file-sharing would hurt the music scene, as emulation hurts the gaming scene.
The positive is that it makes the companies figure a way to try to stop this from actually happening, or at least try to limit it.
For example, that problem of having only one good song from an album has been resolved - downloading specific mp3s from iTunes or a similar service. The artists and the producers get their money, and everybody is happy.

3D all the way!!! What they lack in speed and frantic gameplay, they make up with fluid and realistic animation, controls and gameplay.
Don't get me wrong. I love 2d fighters, and there will always be a place for them. 3D games are just the future!!!

Well, it depends. If your playing on a console at home, against a friend or similar, I play for fun.
On the other hand, if i'm playing at the arcades, i play to win. Sure I also play for fun in the arcades, but losing there, especially to people u don't know, is no fun whatsoever, not to mention, you have to fork out more money to play again.

WWF WrestleMania "The Arcade Game" II... that'd be awesome since it would most likely be in 3D as well and it would be WWE WrestleMania as well instead. Either way, I think this would be a great game or sequel.
yeah that would be pretty cool. that game rocked!!! I dont agree with the 3d thing though. i think it would look better if they stick to using the old 2d style, but obviously with more colours, higher res, clearer

Indeed hackers are ruining online multiplayer games. They are so "desperate" for a win, that they cheat just for an additional point in their statistics. Playing a game where you can't be beaten because you cheat (not if your good
) is pretty sad. -

The final boss pissed me off so much, i think his name was Johan or something. Just plain cheap. The final boss of Matrimelee was pretty cheap to, but not to the standard of Johan

They run pretty crap, so u are better off getting the psx versions and playing them instead. Or you could wait for the final version of Zinc, which is supposedly due out later this year sometime.

Starcraft 2 would be awesome, as long as they don't change the mechanics of the original and the expansion (like how they screwed up warcraft 3). Man, the expansion for that game still rocks online!!!

Personally, i would like a sequel to the Last Blade Series. I dunno why they haven't already done so, as in my opinion, Last Blade>Samurai Shodown.
Better Graphics, (until SSV anyways) better gameplay, better everthing really.

I bought Kingdom Hearts, which has a childish theme to it - nothing you'd expect from square, but i was an allright game i suppose...
"An alright game"? Wft is wrong with you? Kingdom Hearts is one of the best games Square has ever put out.
The realtime battle concept was pretty good, and the story was so-so, but the thing i hated about the game was the damn camera angles.

My finals are still 4 weeks away, but were all panicking like hell (its my 1st year you see). Taking a major in electrical and computer engineering at QUT.
