Well, you have to know the target environment's instructions set and architecture, but not those from the processor it will run on. Assembly in itself is quite simple, it's writing a program in it that's really a pain in the ass. I found a document on zophar.net about Super Gameboy: has anyone ever heard about that? I've never even heard the name before.

OK I see; I was mislead by the "different debuggers" part. I'll just use the included debugger
-
I didn't think about it as easy. But why do you have to be very experienced with different code debuggers? I'll check zophar That's why I'll try with an old system, otherwise it will be near-impossible to get full speed on a virtual machine (such as java's or some schemes'). I may learn C and C++, but not now (and I'm not masochist enough to mess with Assembly). I'll just try in Scheme. I have also found a Scheme to C translator, but haven't tried it yet. I don't really want to make a big difference, this is mainly for learning purposes. I'll try with all my skill and dedication; too bad I'm really lazy For the system, I'm thinking about the original gameboy.

Here's my idea: I'd like to enter emulation from the other side, the technical side. Until now, the only thing I've done with emulators is use them (or add games in MAME, but that's not really challenging). So I want to begin writing an emulator. Of course, I won't begin with a system like Naomi: it would preferably be an old and already-emulated system. Is anyone interested in writing it with me? (I just don't really feel like doing that alone, but I will if noone wants (or can) give a hand). Right now I only have a (limited) experience with Java and Scheme, but I could learn another language (would take much time though). Or could you advise me concerning a system that would be easy to emulate? Until then, I'll try to think about the time all this is going to take

Btw, what democratic countries other than the U.S. still apply death penalty?
-
PMS? What's that?

Just a question: did any of you think about judicial mistakes? Quite hard to correct if the person is dead, isn't it?
-
Does declaring a war without real reasons and therefore killing thousands of innocent count as cold-blooded crime?

And now, pictures of soldiers smiling over the bodies of dead prisonners... It seems like there's no limit for these guys.

Happy birthday to yourself And don't get too moose-like -
Last message in this thread is 2 weeks old... Is the radio still going on? K'dash, you asked for help using no-ip: I have a no-ip account, it works fine. If you have any question, don't hesitate to ask.

A Question About Lost Credit Cards..
taratata replied to ilike2l33ch's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
That's the safest use. Any other would be (very) risky. In my country, when someone gets billed for something he didn't buy (stolen cc number), the company that issued the bill has to give back the money. And banks usually offer companies insurances against that. Guess what? These banks don't like when that happens! And they have lots and lots of money to pay people to investigate and help the police. And like GK said, if the owner is not a total retard, the card is already cancelled. Conclusion: be careful and think well -
A Political Cartoon...my Reaction To Recent Events
taratata replied to random guy's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Here we come to the big word: "potential". It summarizes quite well the neocon theory of "preventive war". This is really the biggest scam I've ever seen. Could you imagine a trial for a murder where the murderer says: "Maybe he had a kalachnikov or a grenade in his bag, or maybe he was a psychopath, he could have killed me! So I just shot him. (And his money/oil/land/whatever... accidently fell in my pocket.)" I can't stress it enough: what the neocons call "preventive war" is the first step towards FASCISM. And I'm not using that word lightly. -

A Political Cartoon...my Reaction To Recent Events

Uh huh... why don't you just keep your mouth shut and let the rest of us continue this important debate. Quite right GK Anyway, there'll probably be no strict "ending" to this. I don't think the ruling of a US army trial deserves any trust. -
I've been trying to avoid them ever since GameCop PMed me...twice. I haven't even gotten in a flamewar yet....Oh wait, yes I have...there goes my punchline. It's never too late to start

What a hateful thread! I really don't understand in what way these people disturb anyone. Concerning marriage, I think it is crap in the first place (I may change my mind in the future, though). So if gays want to engage in crap, why not? An administrative formality shouldn't bother anyone (I don't think we're talking about religious gay weddings here, right? That'd be funny but it's not gonna happen anytime soon.) btw, you don't have to be white (or any other color) to be racist, homophobic, fascist, or whatever other proof of stupidity and complete lack of thought.

My Computer... What Do You Think?
taratata replied to Jjangthekid's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Yeah, they get all those things for free. I wish I was a hardware reviewer... They have to return it you know. Espcially if their samples. I wonder what happens when they damage a sample or when it gets "borrowed" by someone... btw Nice case, Jitx. I wouldn't get it though. I'd be too afraid to suddenly hear it say : "Luke, I am your father!" -
My Computer... What Do You Think?
taratata replied to Jjangthekid's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Jjangthekid, I think that with the comp you have, even if you upgraded it with the very latest and most expensive hardware, the difference in perf would be so small you wouldn't even notice it. IMHO hardware reviewers tend to be a little off-reality when they say things like: "Wow! This new graphic card is great! You can have 10,000 fps instead of 9,000 with the previous one! Everyone upgrade now!" -
Weapons Of Mass Destruction Found In Iraq?
taratata replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
And some of you wonder why the Iraqis don't like the US being there... Americans will surely have alot of explaining to do, if this ever calm down....which probably won't happen for a long time. Even before the Iraq war, America already had a shitload of explaining to do. Explanations probably won't come even if all this calms down. -
A Political Cartoon...my Reaction To Recent Events

Wow! After 12 pages of reading, my eyes are gatting tired. I'd just like to point a few things out, that may have been missed. I quoted this post, I could have quoted another. To begin with, why would you have to get even? Someone here quoted: "An eye for an eye, and the world goes blind." Second, even with who? Al Qaeda is an international organisation, not linked to any country. Average iraqis and afghans don't have anything to do with them. And what about Lybia? Kaddafi(sp?) backed up and protected terrorists. Unlike concerning Iraq, this is proven. He just paid a comfortable amount of money to the US and the EU, licked some american and european asses, and now he's clean and welcome everywhere. Last but not least: the US are quite lucky (well, that's not real luck, just power balance) that other countries don't try to "get even". Vietnam (no need for explanations there), Panama (4,000 killed just to remove former CIA agent Noriega that had disobeyed the CIA), Chile (funny to notice that Aliende's CIA-organized murder, which led to Pinochet and thousands of deaths, took place on 9/11/73), Somalia, and so many others... I hope you get my point. Btw, sorry for being late on this one I've had a lot of work to do recently, and couldn't come here. And keep it cool guys! This is just about comparing each other's opinions and getting the best of both -
The whole world will NOT praise him. The U. S. (and most of Europe) will. Unfortunately, (but not surprisingly) Usama Bin Laden is actually quite popular in many parts of the world. Yeah in the heroine work maybe, but once he pulls out osama, geroge is going to be a man that needs to be reckonged with. You ever wonder why after a while after the 9/11 they stopped talking about him? I mean yeah sure the war in Iraq but non of the networks had anything to say about him except "Hey he's got a new video coming out" yeah guys so does snoop dogg. I bet he's had him kept away i storage for this election, especial when you hear all the news coverage talking about him using the "9/11" in his campiegn.(hint hint) None of the networks had anything to say about him? If you're talking about Bush, in the U.S. maybe. Elsewhere, he wasn't considered less dumb than before. Actually, it was quite frightening to see the shrinking of freedom of expression in the U.S. after 9/11. The few american journalists that standed against him at that time (sorry no name comes to my mind right now, but there were a few) were isolated and some of them were even fired. If you're talking about Bin Laden, ALL the networks spoke about him. Btw, it is quite interesting to see the difference in reaction between Spain and the U.S. after Al Qaeda attacks. I think both are extreme. From what we heard here (in Europe, like everywhere else it's a partial view) in the U.S., patriotism was the only path to follow. In Spain, it is a completely opposite way. Most of the spanish people think it is because of the governement's behavior that these attacks have occured (the recent elections are a proof of that). It seems like they don't even blame Al Qaeda for that. Anyway, when I said the whole world won't praise Bush for busting Bin Laden I was thinking of places like Sudan (remember Clinton's bombing the same day as the Columbine tragedy?). Really bad foreign policy (both by the governement and by multinational companies) is not a U.S. monopoly (my country's being really bad also) but it's one of the worst. Some people thought of 9/11 as a chance to change that policy (not that I'm ok with that, it's just the plain truth). It has gone the exact opposite way. I know this post can be taken as offensive, but it's really not my point. I just want to clear a few facts that lead many people to see Bin Laden as a hero, and not only in the heroine work (again, I really hate that a terrorist be taken as a hero, but it's just the plain truth). Sorry if this post was a bit long (and again please don't take it as an offense).

You can get many PSX isos on Direct connect. I'm quite surprised you found none. Did you try the hubs mentionned in the "Hosted Network Hubs" section? There are many PSX isos and other roms/isos there.
