coinops,mameox 128 and mamedox are based off mame 0.84 but coinops has had new game drivers added which lets you play games which are not available in mameox 128 and mamedox.

i am not sure about the snes controller issue but the save/load option for the arcade games has been a problamatic for a while. you can activate final burn in the options menu.
