anyone remember fantasy zone 2 on the sega master system? the original fantasy zone was a sega arcade game on the sega system 16a arcade board. http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=70...p;gid=3161#3161 the sequel fantasy zone 2 was released on the sega master system and then ported over to the arcade to the sega system e board,this board is based on the sega master system so it is nion identical to the sega master system game and its an 8 bit game. http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=70...p;gid=1877#1877 in 2008 a sega ages game was released in japan for the ps2 called fantasy zone complete collection,which included all the fantasy zone games and their ports to various sega consoles. there was one special addition to this release an updated version of fantasy zone 2 based on the system 16a arcade board(16 bit),specially made for this release. someone managed to rip the rom from the ps2 disc and it has now been added to mame. the game is part of a bootleg arcade board,which contains shinobi,fantasy zone 1 time attack(which was also ripped from the ps2 disc and never released in arcade or console) and fantasy zone 2dx(system 16a version). fantasy zone 2dx running on mame. you need mame 0.139 or a newer biuld after that to play it. the rom you need is called shinfz.zip and you need the bios file called isgsm.zip. when you boot up mame and select game,hit the tab button to bring up the options,then go to dip switches and select any of the other 2 games.then just hit tab to exit out and press f3 to reset the rom. hope this gets added to coinops or final burn alpha at some point.

i managed to get the problem fixed,i had to set the bios to the older setting in the options and change the game region as well. thanks anyway.

i just recently got a jtagged 360 and have been using fbanext360,i can get the cave pgm shmups to work without any problems but for knights of valour,knights of valour 2 and oits other variants i cant get to work. i was just wondering if there is one particular romset you need that will work. i thought i had the correct roms for these games and most did load up without reporting any errors but i would just get a black screen.lantus did report in his blog that knights of valour 2 was working but that was from an earlier release of fbanext.

you can increase the speed of the emulator bytapping either the white or black buttons on your controller.one button speeds up the framerate and the other slows it down.

i really like this machine just for the region free alone.i havent messed around much with emulation though might get round it at some point. fave 360 shmup of the moment. dodonpach daiffakutsu black label the one with ketsuipachi mode.

it seems that version of the game is not emulated in mame 0.84,just had a quick look on maws. i am assuming you tried turning on the vmm in the advanced settings? there is another version of the game which seems to be playable but has wonky graphics.

is this the nude mod? (I did have that but would prefer the non nude version) thanks fu no it isnt the nude version,dont think there is a nude version of soul calibur 2,there is a dead or alive 3 nude mod though.

i bought it from someone over at xbox scene in the buy sell section,the guy buys consoles and mods them.

no these are games i own,the jtag came with the newest kinect dashboard and frestyle dash and a couple of other apps. i am currently putting all those games on the 360 hdd that came with it,60gb in my case.

BTW does anyone know of a good pc app for biulding isos out of these emus for the 360 as the 360 wont let me burn these emulator files to the hdd in raw form.but yet these emulators run fine when burned as a disc and played through the dvd drive.

good choice,i would also include the streets of rage series for the megadrive.

i have always enjoyed the contra series of games the most especially contra 3 on snes and contra hard corps on the megadrive.the newest version on xbla is worth a play.

just make sure you create an empty folder and name it the same as the gametitle.xbe,but without the xbe obviously. then zip up the empty folder so it is now gametitle.zip and put the zip folder into your roms folder and rescan. edit/i would recommend you getting hyper streetfighter 2 anniversary,capcom fighting evolution,giulty gear x2 reload,soul calibur 2,soul calibur 2 reloaded,dead or alive 2 ultimate,spikeout battle street(by sega and the closest thing they ever mage to streets of rage),burnout 3 takedown,burnout revenge,outrun 2,outrun 2006 coast 2 coast,king of fighters maximum imapct,king of fighters neowave,wreckless the yakuza mission,doulbe steal(wreckless 2).......and loads more.
