there seems to be a rpobel at the moment with dodonpach idai ou jou black lable rom,here is some more info. http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=35309 but there is a mdified/hacked version of the rom. @cmekki check your pm box,i am going to upload both these roms(dodonpachi dai ou jou and the black lable hacked version) and will give you a link to download them and try.

you could try the lost levels,assembler forums or hidden palace and my favourite gaming site for reading up about games is hg 101.

i usually get a black screen when i scan for new roms or i have installed an new version of coinops,just hit the A button and your controller and it should take you to the romlist,thats what i do anyway.once on the romlist you should be fine. could you test ketsui,espgaluda,dodonpachi dai ou jou and dodonpachi dai ou jou black label. you could also try testing martial masters.

that game is the holy grail of nes gaming,i dont think we will ever see a romdump of it.BTW is the demo any good and more to the point is it a good game.

dont click start instead click the A button on your controller if it hangs. @bp been trying out epic r6 and i found a couple of bugs. strikers 1945 3 gives an out of memory message after about 1 min of play. power instinct legends character sprites are all a mess,was fine in r4 IIRC. Oh and next week i am going to have my hand on a jtag 360 so i can play all those great japanese shmups like raiden 4,raiden fighters aces and all the recent cave ports.

its because you need to have the final burn rom of metal slug,final burn uses a newer mame set than coinops for the neogeo games.

here are some game genie codes for battlle kid,i found over at gbatemp. thanks go the original poster of these. should work fine on most nes emus including medafenx-nes,cant remember if nestopiax has game genie code access or not.

yeah its great to have the complete donkey kong game now for nes,the way it should have been.

this game is hard as hell but oh so good at the same time..

i think there is just the mame 0.141 rom for ketsui,if there is another version then by all means try it out.the sound being tinny is more than likely a driver issue.

good to hear that ketsui plays ok without a cpu upgrade,hopefully vmm can be added to it so we can play it on a stock xbox. edit/BTW can someone upload coinops epic r6 onto fileserve for me and pm me the link because i cant get ti to downlaod at all,it was the same wit epic r5.dont know what the problem is.

you might want to try the newest release coinops epic r6,get it from snesorama in the xbox forum. is it just the ram upgrade you have on your xbox?or did you get the cpu upgrade as well? how is the playability with ketsui does it run good?

to be honest the options in coinops are what you get with a lo of emulators to be honest,i dont know if there is a particular option you are looking for?

Thanks. The advanced video options sounds awesome, would someone please be so kind and snap a photo of it or list the available options? Also, is 128MB RAM a must to run all games, or just recommended? I'm looking at picking up an XBox now, but the price difference is kinda steep. I'm mostly interested in running the PGM CAVE titles as well as other vertical shmups. Sorry if I went off topic. I'm you like cave shmups,that what i like to hear. there are vidoes on youtube of different biulds of coinops which should show you all the available options.the 128mb ram update seems to help run the pgm cave games but the only way i know that is because philexile tried them out.phil has a trusty xbox which is a 128mb ram upgrade AND a 1.4ghz cpu upgrade so we are not sure how games like dodonpachi dai ou jou runs on a normal 733mhz cpu xbox with thr 128mb ram upgrade. but games like progear,dodonpachi,donpachi,battle bakraid,battle garrega,guwange,dangun feveron,esprade,strikers 1945 1,2 and3 and son work fine on a normal xbox with 720phd through the hd compnent cable.

i think vontro is asking about a download link/source for the actual emulator bp,not the actual sourcecode.

coinops epic r6 has been posted for download at snesorama and emuparadise.just go to the xbox sections in the forums of these 2 sites. @bp you might want to start using fileserve for uploading as megaupload is really slow download/upload speeds.fileserve is the one i use these days,just a thought.
