yeah i have a modded saturn as well with the modchip,region selector switch and 50hz/60hz selector switch,only cost me £40,great deal.but i would like to see this on xbox just to se how it runs,if this is real then it might run better when it gets released because it is still in the early beta stage.

coinops epic is the newest version of coinops for xbox.

i dont have any info on this but a video was posted a couple of days on youtube of an early port of yabause a sega saturn emulator for pc.in the video description it says that he is testing the emulator for the developer of this port. like i said i have not found any info about this but hopefully there is a release at some point.the emu seems to be called YabauseX Alpha 6. i have a sega saturn and in my opinion it has the best 2d games on any games console.

Im only using in SD, so does this mean i wont be able to use save states and keymaps? take a look inside the videos folder they should be there in coinops.just move them to the screenshots folder.

@jo jones if you are biulding a cab be sure to get the arcade perfect ports of marvel vs capcom2 and capcom vs snk2.you alo might want to check out outrun2 a great arcade racer.

yeah i would say that would be doable.

as a suggestion you can if you wish put one of your dvds into your xbox drive and copy the files onto your xbox hdd.your xbox hdd should have about 4gb of free space. use dvd2xbox or xbmc dashboard or the unleashx dashboard to copy the files. you basically just go into the file explorer of these dashboards and copy it over.so at least that way you wont have to swap over 2 dvd discs,just put one on your xbox dvd drive and have the other romfiles in your xbox hdd.

It wasn't exactly protection-related. The sound program is uploaded to ram and then run by a nec v25/v35 cpu. This particular cpu wasn't emulated until recently (well.. it's a bit complicated, but not emulated is the easiest way to explain). Doubtful to ever see it in coinops, but it's pretty likely to end up in fbal at some point. I just have to get bored enough to port the cpu core + changes. i was actually surprised to see this news but its good to see its happened,good to hear that you will port it over to final burn alpha on pc.hopefully someone can get it included in final burn legends at some point.

IIRC final burn legends is based off Final Burn Alpha 2.99.07 which in turn used the mame 0.139 romset,i am pretty sure of that. like i said coinops is based off mame 0.84 a lot of your roms will work while others wont. the best advice i can give you is to look for a package on torrents called coinops epic this is a romset which bp put together and includes most of your favourite mame roms and there is also console roms in there as well becuase console cores from others emus were added. you can always delete the console roms of you wish and just use the arcade roms.

yeah the updated port looks really good,i used to enjoy playing rtype on the sega master sytem,the first 3 levels of that game are classic.

hi you cant change the buttons ingame in coinops of any of the console games,unless you alter some txt file or something perhaps.but bp will know better. the only other suggestion i can give you is to use nestopiax for nes emulation if you want to configure your button layout.

Here is a download for the famicom disc system(nes disc system) game called Aliens.this game is a based on the original msx game and is based on the second alien movie. This game was finished but never got a commercial release and one copy of the game existed.it went up for sale at yahoo japan and someone bought it and was kind enough to dump the game so here it is. medafenx-pce plays bin/cue images as well IIRC.

just delete the console cores and ki core,if you wish but keep the midway core as it has vastly improved the midway games.

i think there is a txt file in the coinops folder,inferno r3 which has all the names of the roms that are playable.also all the stuff like all the doom games are playable. as for ketsui,ddp dai ou jou and espgaluda i would loe to play them on the xbox,i do have the ps2 ports minus ketsui(got it on 360 though).
