Poor lass my ass! Her man must supply her with cash... judging by her stories. She is bringing it on herself.

Agreed. Sheep is a good term too. Hahaha Very true. What I get from this, is we have misconceptions about what reality is. The false reality, "own little world". Devia Eleven, you sound like this is all somewhat surprising. You will often get remarks like the one Inky gave. I'm not harping on Inky, what I'm saying is we somewhat older guys have seen plenty of this already and we cope with it in different ways. I say cope but its more like ignore. I am not blind to this, I still see it and am aware of it everyday at some level. Plain and simple. You don't like this reality, oh well. Reality sucks. Millions of people are starving worldwide, but everynight I throw old donuts out to replace them with fresh ones. I throw out sandwiches and fruit and bread and etc etc. 7-11 along with everyone else to my knowledge do not make arrangements to donate this food to shelters. I don't give a damn if its past expiration. That stuff is still good for a few more days, just not of superior quality. I, like most of us here, have to work hard as hell to get some spare bucks to get what we want, let alone need. There is a lady who comes in and wastes a ton of cash on scratch offs. She bought like 70 cards yesterday on my shift. Turns out she has lost $1000's of dollars this year already. I can go on and on but reality does indeed suck. All you can hope to do is be yourself and make your mark. Find some true friends and live. Being concerned about people who dont actually matter is meaningless.

Very very true. It blends with what I have to say. Im 31 now. I grew up just north of Orlando. This place was pretty poor. It was full of stereotypical sights, Rednecks with airboats and big trucks. Hoods with crazy color houses. Run down or old houses. Trailer homes. We had a flee market... I can go on and on. I moved to Altamonte in middle school. Its closer to Orlando. It was upscale most definitely from where I was, but still the same flow was there. We have alittle bit of everything, and everyone. Blacks, whites, oriental, middle eastern, indian, etc. My point is even with all the exposure, there was racism and prejudice. Now first off, we are all prejudice. Me? Im prejudice against stupid people. Or rather, fools. I cannot accurately describe what it is I dislike, as the description would be endless. But Assholes is somewhere in there. This may sound like Im talking down, that is not my intention. I'm trying to state this "matter of factly" First you need to realize the individual is intelligent, and the masses... stupid. Only by acting on your own can you obtain true enlightenment. These people who we are referring to go with the flow of their peers. You also need to know the mind works. We fear what we do not understand. Things that are new or different are easy targets for "assholes" to try to gain acceptance by their like minded peers. You may notice them looking at their buddies after they say something intended to be hurtful. Its like... "do you like what I just did?" It's a damn shame that we still see racism and the like today, but it's still there. About the video game playing comments... or slurs... fuck them too. I play alot. And I mean aaaaaaalot. I have heard similar things about me too, Nerdtendo. Thats what someone called my back in high school. Like Inky says. the people your around are predominately more social. Why do people strike out? What benefit is there in it? All I can say is that they do not view said events or situations or facts, 'like color' to be acceptable. Funny thing is, it is they who are unacceptable. I've seen alot of shit in my 31 years. Most people are oblivious to the reality around them. Weird thing is, it is these networks of false realities that create the world. It is the individuals, the ones outside the box that are superior. I am sorry. If that sounds holier than thou so be it. I am sick and tired of nonsense. Every person I am friends with is an individual. Unique. Its hard for me to be friends with someone who belongs in the audience of jerry springer... or just as bad, on stage. Shit, thats just one aspect of it. This is what you may come to find. People are assholes. They are secretly miserable and too lazy to do something with their lives. They are afraid and alone. They will never admit this, even to themselves. All they can hope to do, with their limited intelligence, is stick with the pack in a pointless attempt to fit in. Even if alone they act out, trying to be seen. They are a blight on society. The main problem is there are more of them that us. I am different. Fatal Rose and I have spoken many times. He is different too... LOL very "different". I mean no harm but the guy is weird. But he is a great guy. I accept him. He is from Cali and they are even more tolerant over there than Central Florida. Sorry... segway. (how do you spell that???) You can ask Fatal, I'm even more colorful that what you can derive from my rantings. I am indeed different. Weird in a sense of over the top non conformity. I have seen some of what you are speaking of, but as Cinder says, it goes both ways. Its not race, its packism. You stand out, your an easy target for the undesirables. You can hold on to hate, but see it like this if you will. Hate the world, the masses. Not the individuals. Please please please do not loose hope in people, or rather individuals. There are ALOT of cool people out there. Too bad finding them is few and far between. The friends I left back in Orlando... some in the click jokingly dubbed us "League of Nations" 2 Greeks, a black dude, a Jew, a Puerto Rican, an Arab.. lol, he is actually from Jordan. A Korean, and 2 straight white dudes. We are all from the school of taking pop shots at whatever... but jokingly. Side note, there is one guy (a greek) who plays too much and the Jew dude got sick of it and doesn't hang out if the Greek dude is around. Case in point, everyone has their boundaries and limits. But anyway, we joke about race, stereotypes and or whatever. Where I am from, we have seen it all. To this day I still see it. Say I go into a uppity restaurant and my gear isn't expensive. I may see a few awkward looks. Fuck 'em. People cling to what they are comfortable with or used to. anything outside the "norm" is often scrutinized. Like I said, fuck 'em. Whatever the case, people can and will strike out. Your case sounds severe and for that I am sorry. I have no idea what the deal is but to hell with what other people think. Please do not shut up. Speak your mind whenever however. If you silence yourself, how will you meet anyone? Everyone I have actually met, I was either expressing myself or vice-versa. I have plenty more to say but im getting more and more fragmented. I can't say I know exactly how you feel... but then again... I have been there but in different shoes. You are you. Just don't allow others to inhibit who you are or what you represent. Id personally lean toward Cinders outlook. "If you don't like me, kiss my fucking ass!" It sounds good to me. Anyone who doesn't accept you isn't worth the time to worry about it. Fuck 'em

I played the demo... It seemed pretty wack. Yes, "wack" The Melee mechanic is not refined. It feels like an add on to the original game design, as opposed to being built WITH the core engine. I'm just saying... it feels tacked on. I dont know, it feels weird. I erased the demo within the hour I DL'd it.
-
L.S.D. ... your insane. Im just putting that out there.
-
Um... perhaps the battles. The story, character development and egad... the dialog are horrific. This isn't even an opinion... it's FACT. LOL Im pretty early on. I have so many things to play... I need to jump back on it, but since FFXIII is around the corner, id rather not play any other RPG's at the moment.
-
Well are you tired of JRPG nonsense? If so, ME1 and 2 should already appeal to you. I can go on and on about it, even more than I have. But fuck all that... Get the game already. Id recommend playing through ME1 first but that isnt necessary. The story would have more "oh shit" moments throughout though.
-
Well Im glad you like ME1. Me2 is quite different, but I'm sure you'll like it too

Too many new games to choose from - brain freeze-

Im taking at least 5 days off for the FFXIII release. -
I played ME2 constantly... it was great, I liked what they did. Although the guns/armor thing was weird. I dont like heatsinks either... It didn't even become a factor anyway, but I guess they do expect you to switch guns periodically. I like the evolution mechanic as well, but I wish they let you take more than 1 special skill from other teammates. I also enjoy how the characters interact. No cornball nonsense like with typical RPG's. Especially JRPG's The game is very grown up, and its outside the box. This is what the industry needed. I hope more developers take note of ME's success. Well anyway, after I beat it I started up ME1 so I could have other playthroughs so I could see the difference in the story. Its amazing how much they keep track. The game was reflecting on everything I have don in ME1, way more than it tells you when you begin the game. Those therefore are the most important variables maintaining to the main story. It also forces you to make some decisions you may have not seen coming, so once ME3 hits, I can only imagine how many variables would be in play... Lately been playing Castle Crashers Defense Grid- a tower defense game Darwinia+ an RTS where the darwanians your trying to save are your resource too. Multiplayer is amazing! Basic battle strategy RTS Its quite addictive. Way of the Samurai 3 ME2 ME1 Reading Mass Effect Revelation by the way. Magic the Gathering Katamari Geo Wars 2 That Ninja Turtles game that was on sale... yea I find $5 was too much. Puzzle Bobble Need to get my joystick built so I can enjoy some SF, Tekken & SC and MvC2

See, I liked Avatar... but I Buy all CG movies and I saw it in 3D, so Im impartial. I like what they did in Sherlock Holmes. Made Watson not so much a Captain Obvious side kick, but rather a much needed ally.

Looking at my post, I just wanted to re-innerate how bad G.I. Joe is. It's bad... STAY AWAY, it's likely as bad as DBZ. I only watched it because my sister rented it from a red box. even $1 was too much to ask to see it.
-
G.I. Joe.......... Epically bad. Like... Really really really horrible. Besides the BAD writing, i've seen better CG in games... old games. This movie is sooooooo bad.

Who gives a fuck!!! She is RIDICULOUS!!!
-
... Not correct. Sure its Sci Fi, but the main appeal is not the content of the story, but the underlining concepts, and just as importantly, the interactions. The dialog actually feels realistic in terms of content, or rather, what characters talk about does not feel cheap or drawn out. No real nonsense. Feels quite realistic. But also the chosen responses within the dialog feels right too. Um... FFXIII?!?! Well Mass Effect is a great game. Just what you would expect from a Bio Ware game... But DO NOT DOWN LOAD IT!!! You can pick it up at EB for $13. As for naysayers, thats on them, but if you like RPG's and are an adult... this has no child like rhetoric. No coming of age undertone bullshit. Its not some girl like boy around 17 whining about whatever... (Most JRPG's) The game is indeed adult. Im not even referring to the sex scenes. The tone is mature. As for the graphics, like Cinder said, the game looks fine. Its a lack of graphical flare that I think is being viewed. Games like FF look fantastic, but the design of everything is abit over the top. Im not complaining, I love FF (except 9) but one has to admit, everything, even down to the smallest detail seems somewhat over produced. Tons of flare, on things that dont need it... if you follow. Mass Effect looks more realistic in this respect. So in these two respects, the game does indeed feel more realistic. Natural feeling dialog and surroundings. My only complaint is the reuse of "dungeons" Or rather, the various interiors of buildings are reused very often, but with rearranged obstacles. I.E. crates etc. Oh... and perhaps the drawn out driving around planets... not as cool as it sounds. For $13 the game is a steal. I have only gone through the game once (soooo many games to play) but if you want a game that takes itself, and your intelligence seriously, get it.

Um, yea! Yea if you stay idle, the world around you continues right over you. Make your mark or you'll be fodder.

Terminator Salvation Observe and Report and about to watch District 9 right now. watched Robinson Carosue with Pierce Brosnan too. Misspells but im too tired to care.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays! I work today but it beats being jobless or worse, homeless. Im blessed in many ways and I have alot to be thankful about. I wish the same for everyone else. Again, happy holidays!
-
If I do id get revenge. Well I haven't been playing as much as I would like, but I am fixing my kill death ratio... very very slowly. Somedays it doesn't go so well. But regardless, I get those kills. No one seems to play much at all, if at all. I have no idea why, the game is ridiculous fun!
-
Yea patches come out for practically everything. Games are sometimes rushed, sometimes not, but in either scenario there are often tweaks that need to be made. Gears of War 2 for instance, has "suffered" from countless rebalancing, and honestly requires more. Other patches includes polished up driving mechanics for Alone in the Dark. Patches are normal and necessary. Well trying to team up with ppl from here sucks. By the time I do play with someone from the site, Im gonna be quite skilled. Im already starting to fix my kill/death ratio. I started off pretty bad, but i'll slowly fix this. .71 right now. hopefully ~3 hundredths a day. Perhaps in two weeks Ill hit 1.0 unless I can make 600 kills and no deaths today... LOL If only...
-
Not really. Tekken just plain does not work for me, even with the patch. I denied a few matchups, and choose the best one, and it did the same as it did for us. As for everything else, works usually. Sometimes I believe though, on MWF2, If I become the host, I am god. LOL practically anyone who IS connected to me is froze in time, save a few really lagged out ppl, and Im free to do as I wish. But after the match I get disco from live and I have to reconnect. Im sure they will patch this eventually. But yea, I play with my friends from florida and everything runs perfectly. It's just a few occurrences and Tekken thats giving me troubles. So anyway... Just checking if anyone even posted interest... back to the game.
-
OK... Im usually on just after 7 AM EST. I'm 3rd shift so Im just getting home, and ready to get on it. I see plenty of you guys (and gal) play MWF2... Next time your on and you see me, hit me up if you feel like playing. I just sent the Don a message but he logged before it got to him. Im going back this very second, but again... If you see me on, and feel like playing some special Ops (perhaps you need more stars) or just want to team up and see what we can do online, hit me up. Im likely to join you.

The official Tekken 6 Blood Rebellion Thread!
Krosigrim replied to L.S.D's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Well... I better get on it and see how mine works! Ahhh I just watched some of you tournament experience. I know exactly what you mean... I hate when I dont play like... me. Yea once you can clear all the "fog" from your mind and body, just be... you'll be better off. Don't be too hard on yourself. -
I wish I had my old consoles. I dont miss blowing into nes carts though... Although emulation is great, I miss the old days, systems all in a row in front of the TV... So your telling me saturn emulation is coming around? I'll believe it when I see it. Funny how that its super protected, and then the Dreamcast had none. They thought their game medium was unbreakable... laughable. Well If Guardian Heroes ever comes out for the XBLM I'll have no need to get a Saturn I suppose... but still, I miss those days.

Negative good citizen! Initiating an attack is the same on 360, PS3 and PC. Pick target, automatically run and normally attack. Click/pick skills to do buffs, debuffs or special attacks. The only difference between consoles and PC is the number of skills you can have on screen. That's it. Indeed. Hit the button and you run up automatically and begin slicing... or bashing away... or whatever... Right... But the reason I keep clicking (barbarian) is because foul demons and beasts die so quickly and Ill stand there doing nothing for a split second until I click on a new foe. So I continually click. Well Im no rogue, but backstabs are if you are indeed behind them. It'll help if you have skills and/or items that reduce agro, while having someone else that increases it. I sometimes switch to the bard chick and all enemies will be focused on my main cause im taking everyone out, and shell just dig that sucker in there back over and over and over but they never turn to face her. As for the stealth mode... never used it so i donno
