Thanks alot for the info... I decided to go with a direct connection, but I cant run a wire to my room, and I dont want to bother with the ISP coming out and wiring up my room, I bought a powerline adaptor. I forgot all about these things. Im sorry, the principle behind this, is magic... Im still astounded by our science. Well now that the connection to the router is perfect... I still have the other issues to contend with. What I was referring to with 20 vs 20... was with the possible bottle necking with cable... and the question if fiberoptics ever really has this issue, right now at least. Prime time traffic and all... But regardless, I cannot talk them into switching, so the only other option is upgrade... which I take wont really help. And then theres still the matter of this router. I got the powerline adaptor cause there is major interference between my room and the computer area. a few walls one of which has big ass electrical plugs for washer and drier. But anyway, I wonder if Ill get better performance from another router, or if it will be comparable. I still cant get a match going for Tekken but thats normal anywhere you go, but at least my friends actually played online!!! I don't think I'll ever be able to get what I want... no lag ever... hah

Well I was thinking about Linksys, pre N is getting on my nerves. I don't really have an issue of multiple users on the net at once, but I wanted to make sure its not a problem when it does happen. I was figuring that with a D-link... I could prioritize my 360 over everything else... including my brother in laws WAW on Wii... lol Well, this is both reassuring and disappointing. HA! It had better be the router... 'cause if I spend that cash and I still have issues, I'm gonna pop my lid. I guess Im living in a fantasy land. Until there is nothing BUT fiber optics at the least... I just wanted to have a perfect connection where I am never the cause of lag. I hope that its not crappy ISP, as they will never change ISP... I'll test my connection in a few hours and see if pointing the antennas at my room helps. Damn this nonsense. Oh, and thanks for the heads up on Verison. I just knew they couldn't be trusted. You should have seen the salesman that knocked on our door after they laid optics!

Well hell, looks like Fios is out of the question, there is no talking them into switching... But that still leaves the matter of internet speed. I can upgrade to the next tier, but will that truly help, as Im thinking my issue is more so with the router. My friends have speeds comparable to me but when I play them, it's lagged out, but when they play others, its way better. Fuck... Anyway, what do you guys think about this gaming router?

Alright I just found out that my internet speed is ~15mbps. Seems less sometimes. I had an issue with my router too so im trying to decide whats best. The router is a Belkin Pre N and is ... problematic. Im trying to find some answers, but its not unlike sifting through sand. According to my Xbox, I have 2-3 out of 4 bars in terms of connectivity to the router. The 360 is 25' from the router... Thats retarded. Im pretty sure my walls arent lined with lead. I had an issue before and I turned on the WAP for my box, thanks to your suggestion Sibath and Inky... but still had no resolution. Thought it was the router, but it may also be my internet... I want to play my games in peace! I started to do alittle searching and I see D-link all over the place. Theres the D-link DGL-4500, but thats around $200. Im looking at the 4100. $96/ $76 with rebate at buy.com. (LOL Walmart has it for $130!!!) Anyway, these D-links prioritize gaming traffic. But thats me getting ahead of myself... Back to the internet. We have 15mbps. Now... Verison Fios is in my area now, and I was wondering how much better it might be. Although a few major things concern me. First of which is their bullshit Fios vs Cable adds. They have "20 mbps vs 2" Wtf is that! How about your 15mbps vs their 15 mbps??? I want to know the truth... Fios claims they dont throttle, nor use booster gimmicks. I see peoples reviews on their new Fios and pics of their internet speed tests... but they don't really state the information I need. Short of finding a neighbor who does have Fios and hope to hell they have the same speed as us, and then test the TRUE speed against ours... I'll run more searches and whatnot, but Id like a heads up... again, from you guys. Whats the pros to having fiberoptics? is there less latency? During primetime hrs does my internet speed remain strong? And for the modem... I just pointed my antennas toward my room and I'll test later if that helps, but is a old busted pre N shit for gaming? I am expecting the answer to be yes... and is this Gaming router truly necessary? As for routers... what do you guys use? I mean... your all gamers! What do you use or what do you want?

The train isnt so bad. I had base... HP, ATTACK, DEFENSE, ITEM DROP, all A and one S. Then I believe I used FIRE. But you can easily replace ITEM with ICE and your straight ruining things. I never stray from my base though... I have one free slot for whatever I want, and its usually the fire element. I don't know if you can even play that stage on medium, as I beat it on hard. The main strategy I can think of, is stick with the chick and that'll help a ton. Enemies focused on her cannot block you and vice versa (within reason) Don't use the gatling gun until you NEED to use it. And try it over and over. I died many times, but it is indeed beatable. Just grind it, you'll get a few great runs. Also... you could try moves that knock up and back... throwing them over the edge... But I don't do that so as to how hard that'll be on that stage... Considering things, If you dont have a great item combination, run around a bit on the very late stages on hard mode with a great item drop garment. Like Yoshimitsu's stage or Mokujins.

Someone here mentioned it, I believe it was Skythe, but it seems if others have missed it. So i will elaborate. There is a "Gambit" system. All non player characters in party will do exactly what you want via the FFXII Gambit system. If you have gotten far in FFXII you'll know how useful this is. But yes, there are times when you need to pause the game and set things straight from time to time. As for "hack and slash" It is, I don't know what you mean by "i command you to engage in combat" rather than "yeah! im engaging in combat" As soon as an enemy is in range, he or she is selected (in front of you) hit (a) and you do your thing. As for other targets, You can aim like Mass Effect and reselect an opponent, or use the d pad to filter through ALL possible selections, including barricades and chests. The game is very hack and slash. I am a warrior, and my battle skills are few fortunately. I wreck shit without going into the menu. But when I switch to other characters, with their plethora of moves, I'm glad there is a gambit system. Although there is a problem I have within the subject were in. When I (warrior) go into my circle menu (paused) to select a move, when I release the circle, he does the move right there... without running up to the enemy. Now... wtf is that. I'll play around a bit, but Im pretty sure no matter how you look at it, thats retarded. Im thinking... perhaps I need to RE-select the opponent first before I manually select the move from the radial... and if that is so, still, thats stupid. Something else I dont like is how sometimes the character gets stuck. All your party members and other obstacles are in the path to your target, and your character is trying to get close enough to attack but cant, then runs around a bit to orient... FUCK! LOL If it were really me, Id do something ridiculous like a jumping attack vertical strike knocking all obstacles from my path. I am the tank so, gtfo of my way...

Hey... Im impatient. I could trial and error, talk to friends and get alittle knowhow here and there, google this and that... but to hell with that. Look... I just bought a wireless adaptor for my 360. My Brotherinlaw bought a Belkin type N a bit back and he has it set up for whatever. He isnt even sure. Anyway, I was directed to Portforward.com by Inky and I set up the ports, but the router said port 88 would have a conflict or somesuch with the ISP. Now, Im so inexperienced with this. No one has a Belkin type N so any info from others is touch and go. Their not sure whats certain. I can take my time and study, but If there is ANY information that might be beneficial, please let me know. My brother-in-law plays on my sisters wii online and he too complains of certain things. I couldnt even connect to Inky for a game of Tekken, much less a regular match. But Battlefield 1943 was fine. I just want to make sure everything is as good on my end as possible. Im thinking I need to free some ports. Hey, I dont even know what he has this router thing doing in the first place. So yea, any information viable to this situation, (online gaming and routers) please fill me in or set me to a site that is an authority. Googling has me spinning. Or is that the room... Im drinking. So websites or whatever information you may be able to grant me will be quite beneficial. And don't give me that "google works wonders" bullshit. I didnt know either. I was running around and using basic comboes. I thought it was nerfed. Then it hit me. I wasnt alone either. Yea I gotta configure my router and ports and see if that helps at all. If not I'll see about raising my speed as I think were 1 tier below max speed. If it still dont work to hell with it. Virizon just laid fiber optic cable so Ill talk to them. I want some matches with Tekken, lag or not. lol. I cant even connect.

Id try it but my box is too far from the router. I havent yet bought a wireless doohicky for the 360. Dude there were mostly PS3 guys picking up Tekken when I was there last night. I don't get it. Sure 360 is mainstream, but damned if 360 doesn't have it beat out. I was talking to one guy and he says there are at least 12 Tekken pro's he knows of in our local area. "pros" Like tournament guys. I have to seriously tackle this game. Im so freaking weak, Its like starting from scratch! I have noticed some new moves and removal of others. Well... You know what I mean. Like Brian for instance. They changed up one of my favorite air juggles. I've been seeing alot of this but since its been so long, I cant quite put my finger on what is different from time to time. Alls I know, Is im going to play religiously now, regardless of good or bad online connections. I'll just have to find locals if its bad. Tekken... we meet again!

Alright... 24 hrs until I have Tekken. The guy I work with just so happens to be a real big gamer. Imagine my luck! I don't really go out and since Im new in town, finding a game head like myself is not so common. He claims he is pretty good... so I gotta brush off my rust and get on it.

Um... yes there is a such thing as too big. So big they dont bounce... as much as sway. You ever seen that lady with the giant (and ugly) boobs... where she crushed empty beer cans? Too big, and in her case, very nasty. Id not discriminate... Except in extreme cases. My preference though is usually large B to small D... but a large factor in my boob rating, is how do they look. Silent Hill. Meh. Twas creepy, but still mostly lame. One bitch had her skin ripped straight off, another got fucking raped with barbwire... tentacle hentai style. Ending had you pffting I never really played the games, so I don't know if it had any real connection. If it did it was probably quite vague. I don't even know how to rate this one... Im a seriously tough critic, and thriller/horror doesnt really do it for me. Their usually shit. I like this more than most I have ever seen, probably do to the how shit worked. As in the premise.

I have researched this very point. But I was referring to a possible defect or something. I had it hooked up to a 50+ inch projection tube Hitachi, and was set to 1080 but even the games that dont do real 1080, came in smoother. I figure now because it was projection, and it kinda blurred into place. My image now is far more crisp, which gives way to what I was seeing. No issue though, the image is indeed great, most excellent B class selection.

I need this Joystick completed by release... I have a couple of years rust to knock off too. I hope to attain my previous level quicklike, and since it's a new game, attain a new level of expertise. Out of all the fighting games, Tekken was my shit. So I'm quite happy, even if it means I gotta play against my new acquaintances here in VA... (if online sux) for a decent game.
