My only sympathy goes to the family and friends, not him. I dont mind him being roasted about it either, but its gotta suck for those who knew him. But if you drive drunk your a fucking fool. Risking others lives is bad enough. Taking innocent life, the fruition of the previous sentence... is practically incomprehensible in my mind, its unabideable. A man can make mistakes but drunk driving is one that should NEVER be made. He took his friend with him.

I got sick of talking to myself. I tried and tried and tried to keep the lounge side of the site attended to. I tried for years... after 2007 was the real drop. Sure it may have been dyeing when Phoenix and I joined, but there was plenty of activity. Now its just us few... and I think the only reason we come is because of personal situational circumstances. Me? This is my first forum. I dont join many but this was my first, and I like alot of you guys. Emsley I know you stick around for that same reason, the people. For Robert it was the FAS keeping him active. Robert would post more often because he was logging on every few hours or so... just like me. But as it is, with emulation pretty much flushed out, the site... is now its an ancient archive. Fuck I miss the days when I joined. Writing crushing walls of text every few hours or so... heh. So many random discussions, it truly was a blast. The site felt right to me, not commercialized, not filled to the brim with trolls. What... just a few? Just enough to keep it interesting, but not tiresome. Hey remember Reaperman and his David? hahahahaha Hell I hardly go online anymore, just to look something up. And I come here less and less cause when I do, there is nothing. With less and less activity... there is less and less reasons for others to contribute. Were totally passed cut and bleeding. Were almost to "rot" Its a damn shame It truly does suck because it was a medium for like minded individuals to come together. Sure that sounds lame but its true. Now all thats left is the Lords and Masters. Ohhh how many threads are there since 2008 with this topic. I believe we talk more about how the site is dead/dying than all other topics combined... This is the 3rd time I have said play Mass Effect 2 when you mentioned it... Play the fucking game already Emsley, its time well spent- as far as gaming goes. This game is the tops and the 3rd one is approaching... at FTL Yes... you could be the asshole, the rogue. I bet thats the kinda route you naturally take when given the chance. Amiright?

Way of the Samurai 3 Mass Effect 2 Portal 2 Masters of Orion II Black Ops I want a a FPS with portal guns. Imagine what kind of levels youd have to design to to take advantage of this mechanic! Anyway, Im enjoying Portal 2 over the rest currently... with non linear thinking, the mind feels unrestrained, free. Its a good sensation.

Finally checked out Tron. Decent movie, despite certain points. All I have to say is if I was on the grid instead of him, things would have gone way differently.

I still have yet to scratch the surface of NGII.

DE2 in August? What? Pfft... it better be awesome Anyway, been playing Torchlight new to the Xbox arcade. Never even heard of this, as Im mostly console. Well its a Diablo clone through and through. Artistically its on the silly side, think World of Warcraft but alittle more cartoony. I began a normal diff game and after a few floors I restarted on Hard. The game is quite easy... Its like they want you to destroy the game. The drop rates in this game are ridiculous, Diablo II took FOREVER (legit) to get anything badass. Harder diff gives better loot. On top of stuff dropping left and right, you can enchant anything. the first enchant has a 2% chance to erase all effects off the item, every time you successfully enchant, the % goes up. Point is you can enchant everything and you can make something already uber, into something absolutely amazing. The game is great for someone who wants to hack and slash and misses Diablo. But there is no multiplayer so I dont see this game having much steam behind it.

Hard Corps: Uprising / 360 Arcade Marketplace I remember someone made sure I heard about this game a while back... maybe Fumanchu. It is everything you would expect a Contra game to be. Typically one starts in Uprising mode in which you collect Cr. to purchase enhancements, such as when you grab a super machine gun, it starts at lvl 2, or an upgrade on your lives or special skills like evades etc. In rising mode you can start at any stage... this is how you practice. Once your familiar with the stages layouts and boss strategies, your ready for arcade mode. Basically its just a character with preset abilities. Nice and challenging. There are only 8 stages but each stage offers a different type of gameplay. Even up to the boss strategies themselves. There are points where the game feels like a shooter... like Gradius type shooters. There are a total of 4 characters but Konami made 2 of them DLC. Fuuuuck games that are released... in which you must make further purchases to make it complete. Shady, seedy business practice there. This knocked Konami down a peg for me. The game is fun, and a blast with a friend. If you like Contra, you would appreciate this game at some level.

The stomp was great but I miss that power slap and the anti air leap he has in alpha and others. I can forgo the anti air but the slap is very missed. The 360 K grab at a distance is pretty tricky too, cover ground real quick. Darun plays so well in this game, and he got the yang of anti air... with that mid air catch. I totally wished it was him in SSFIV.

Funny thing is it gets more activity than it does here har har har

Its already been covered but my 2 cents Im on a mac right now... And my mom got a mac last year. These things are terrific for casual use, work applications (most), Art stuff, your Mom or non gaming girlfriend! Not having to mess with virus bullshit and PC slowdown is awesome. But realistically... not so great for our requirements.

I appreciate you looking into that! I've had SOOO many things to juggle, I didnt check on that. Its sucks. I have ALWAYS played the shit out of well... everything. I can have a blast right now, firing up some old school stuff and just play. I imagine when emulation was real hot... I dont know... anytime before Jul 16 2007 (most users online for 1Emulation) but more specificially, around 02 - 04. I was fresh into emulation, but I didnt get into the endless facets and bulk as I am now... I missed the time altogether! Now no one cares about the old shit. At least anymore. Im a man out of time.

I had the same thought. When I Wikied this, I saw that the 8801 was a floppy based contraption so I didnt even look it up... but here ya go, EDIT: Just google " Strange and Wonderful NEC PC-8801 Games " itll be the link at the top... about 3/4 down you'll see excite bike pics for the 88. Id link but it looks like they might have rom files or something. or ---------------------------------------------------------------------->|<--- Right about here As you can see it was actually a downgrade. I doubt they buffed a bootleg to be as cool as he describes. As for the X1... LINK: I dont know if any of the pics there are from X1... but it look like 3 separate platforms, all equal to or worse in terms of the original.

I gave up on getting cheats to work on this thing... I feel like Im missing something... but I have tried everything. How are you going to have an enable cheat box... an f key that toggles cheats... but not work. I fired up a couple of other games after looking at certain cheats, but I was right, cheats are not enabling. Thanks though.

Well I searched "bike" at Minimaws, and looked at all the racing games at Mamedb. Nuthin'
