I have started to make some new friends, neighbors of mine. They don't play games at all. So it is good to be able to talk about everything BUT games for a change.... heh. I don't really go out anymore, so meeting new people doesn't happen so often. My roommate has people from time to time... where I get to talk with them about various things. Heh... sometimes I feel like I'm speaking too philosophically, but it turned out it was well received. It's funny how age... will eventually lead to wisdom. It has nothing to do with my intilegance, but my memory... LOL. When you make enough mistakes, you damn sure know how to tell someone exactly how it is, in whatever situation they're in. Relationships, or life in general. I figure... those I would like to meet, wouldn't mind shooting the crap. Hmmmm. those who might find themselves bored, are those who are younger. Or those with short attention spans... heh Just.... bring on the cigarettes. Hell EM plays the guitar too, and almost literally ALL her friends are musicians in some way. A bunch are in local bands. And her mom used to teach ... well ... everything!!! She can play anything, except the bagpipe. So I'm sure you guys (you and Wizard) would have alot to talk about. Heh... and we all know I can talk about anything... so id be fine. Too bad this is totally impractical. Perhaps on a small scale it could be possible. Perhaps I could make a 1Emulation tour.... lol. Roam the world, in search of 1emu members. Interesting idea, but I'd rather have a massive party. I don't ever get to host anymore. Parties are slim to none for me.

Yea... those who do not have respect, would do well not to enter my domain. I felt that you are a pretty laid back kinda guy. As for music... that would likely be the hardest part of the entertainment.... for me to accommodate that is. It would make for one hell of a mixed CD... heh. But at least we all like games. But... a large gathering... Games should be the last thing on my mind. Worlds biggest sausage party... but... with girls... heh

I've missed way too much too be able to make an informed decision... Didn't Lesner get his ass whipped last time he fought?

Well mind you, I don't have a 360 yet. So when I am on, I'm at a friends house. I play at his discretion. Usually we play Geometry Wars 2. At least now. When I get a 360, I'll be getting GOW and GOW2, Soul Calibur IV, Star Wars Force Unleashed, COD4, Fallout 3, STIIHD, Armored Core 4 etc. But the funny thing is... and I know this to be true. When I turn on my 360, I'll either start or finish my session with some Geowars 2. Regardless of what game I may or may not play at any given day, Geometry wars is one of those games we played everyday.... And I know that It'll be the game I put the most time into, just because of the extreme replayability of it. Where I get bored with other games and may not play them as frequently, GeoWars2 will remain on my daily playlist... for the most part. LOL get your gametime in, for when I get the 360... I plan on breaking some records. heh.

OK I didn't want to put game trailer movies up, because all they really show is press releases. Youtube vidoes are up, but they are so grainy. To try and show you what the game will throw at you.. I have selected a few videos... please forgive the graininess. Pacifism... You never shoot in this mode. The goal, is luring the swarm of enemies near gates that explode when you pass through them. When you play this game, pay attention to the blast radius, which is easily seen (not on this low quality video) Thing about the enemies, they slowly gain speed, so if you fail to take them out quickly, they will pose more of a threat, the longer they are on screen. About the gates, they spawn in randomly, but alternate between rotating clockwise/counter clockwise and will float vertically or horizontally.. never at 45 degrees. They are enemies too, and if you hit the ends of the gate, game over. They will often seem to try and screw you up alot, so sometimes you need to change your mind before you follow through... i.e. turn the other way and come back next pass or two. The key to victory in this mode is summarized by one word... posturing. Sounds easy enough.... but just you wait... This is my favorite mode currently. Waves... Waves after waves of little orange ships, that effectively create walls... all the while, random enemies spawn in and try to mess with your focus... fail to deal with the non wave enemies, and the waves will flock you up... Some dude playing waves Well I thought Id add a ton of videos... but there isn't much selection on youtube... everyone who made a video.... well... kinda sucks. No one seems to be capitalizing on the geomes. You gotta pick up as many of those as you can, without dieing of course. It seems that the videos were made right when the game came out. I cannot find any videos of someone playing with chaos and insanity going onscreen. That the thing. The game has adaptive AI... It will give you what you can handle. Get better, and it will throw more and more crazy spawns at you.

Ohhhhh good choice.... mind you, what you saw, was practically what you see right when you start the game, perhaps 30 sec in or so. The game ramps up... I cannot even get you to understand what level of chaos I am talking about.. Grab the demo!!!! then you may see just a bit of what I mean. I turned Blacknight onto it... Look, since I am not around my friends 360, add me to your friends if you wish... they have friends leaderboards set up, so you can at leat see where you stand among friends. Oh yea... the multiplayer aspect you saw in the video... there is only local multiplayer, so no live multiplayer... the reason is.... even the slightest amount of lag ruins the game. The game is too fast paced to have lagg issues at all. AND... do not get frustrated by your score.... the game takes forever to master... I played 7 hours straight Sunday, on mainly one game mode... pacifism, and I didn't score over 49,000,000. 7 hours!!!! well come Tuesday, I scored 163,000,000 within 1 1/2 hours. Thats how it goes. Just enjoy the game. I'll see you there sometime!!!

But don't think that burgers are the only thing I would serve. If somehow, I gathered people from this site, It would be a multi day function. Events and so on. The end all beat all BBQ would be ridiculous. Id have to choose from such selections.... Steaks, Ribs, Wings, Fish, Sausage, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Chicken, Baked Potatoes, Corn... maaaaan, thats just stuff for the grill... Salad, Potato salad, Pasta salad, Baked Beans, etc. etc. ... My Jalapeno&cheese cornbread (it's the SHIIIIIIIIT), Cobbler, Cheesecake... And thats just the Cookout.... Heh looking at this site gives me plenty of ideas too All about Food Other meals might include Shepherds pie, Lasagna... suffice to say, you like food, I'd have you covered. Hell, EM is a cook, and I'm just a guy who really really likes food!!!
-
Naw man thats sweet... well, I actually think the dude standing there, that lady's grandson, he looks rather creepy... He looks mad wasted.
-
HA HA HA awesome response.... But I don't drink too often. I enjoy a game like this, as it forces some of the more silent types into a more social situation. But this game here... it's fun for all ages!!!
-
Then I am mistaken... Well at least I do remember that you and I are 'ole Deus Ex fans.... Dude that invisable war was crap... I wonder if they will bother making a sequel on the 360...
-
Well, such is the price for a career. But... I remember you having pics of you holding 360 games.. am I mistaken... or did you hand 'em off?

OK beer pong. There are a ton of different versions... but this version I grabbed from Beerpong.com and it summarizes the key points. Throw ball into any cup, opposing team player must drink that cup. Bounce the ball into cup, the opposing team player must drink two cup, but the opposing team may swat it away if fast enough. Bounce off the ceiling into a cup the opposing team players must drink four cups of beer. (never thought of that... good rule!!) If a team member throws and makes the last cup of opposing team. The opposing team has a redemption shot, where he throws until he misses the shot. Opposing team may throw the ball hard enough to knock a cup over if so that is additional cup of beer. (yo... not in my house suckaaaaa) Must be wash cups, incase ball hits the floor. If you don't wash your balls, it is one cup penalty. If you miss an opponents cup you must have a penalty cup at your side, you must chug this beer. Everytime you miss!!! Just as long as you can hold your beer.... It is a pretty cool game!!

Well Cinder, I'm glad to hear that. I guess I should have expected that frame of mind from you. Well Robert... I just happen to be able to teleport people. Problem is it makes me real hungry... One thing I must say... In person, I am EXACTLY how I portray myself here. I have a tenancy to talk too much. Yea yea I know thats hard to believe!!!! The one noticeable difference, is here in text, I have time to summarize what it is I have to say. So in text, I am waaaaay more concise. Hard to imagine, by the description, It sounds like you wouldn't follow what the hell I was saying in the first place. heh But yea, This is who I am. I write as if I am speaking, and I pour who I am into text. It's likely, that one idea or another that you have of me is correct.

I freaking love this game. But it is overlooked alot. If you like shooters (not FPS), I highly suggest you pick up the demo. Give it a try. I can't convey how frantic the game is. It's something else. There are 6 modes, so if you get tired of playing anything particular, you can switch up the pace. The game, for me and my friends, is something we play on a daily basis. In between other games, or sometimes we just go on a GeoWars2 Bonanza. I don't own a 360 yet, but I still hold the record for the pacifism mode... which I always try to best, just on the fact that I don't own the game. The score hold more weight that way I think.
-
maybe... perhaps I might check it out.... But Cinder... I better not hear any stories of you nipple surfing. I hope you take it easy out there. heh. I'm not trying to lecture you... I'm just saying.
-
Hey Gryph... you got a 360 right??? Do you not play??? What of your gamertag? Or do you choose solace.
-
crap man the needle stops at 200.... ever get it going??? Mad speed? Well... at least you might be able to fix them up after you cut them open.... heh. Wait... I didn't miss your joke... but who the hell .... Wall Street man.... I don't think i'll run a search for that, Id rather be ignorant me-thinks.

I'm not a PS3 ogre. I just hate 360 fanboys who over dominate a section not meant for it. If you stretched this out to include the Wii and PS3, then it would be appropriate for the "Lounge" section. Ya know I think I kinda started out wanting to encompass this in its entirety, but I decided early on that there was too much material I was trying to cover, and It was hard to keep to the point of the matter at the size it starting becoming. I could of course add here now and give my opinions of the strengths and weaknesses of the other 2.... but the point was it's too late for that kinda stuff, ass Microsoft has a foothold situation in the industry, And holds too much absolute power over the competition. I felt that my opinions on 360 were added for good measure, but it began to alter the neutral ground I intended to portray. Since I usually write about real world experiences, this was kinda new for me, so everyone, forgive me and my inexperience. O.K. it just seemed like you had missed the point.... that took me forever to draft up in the first place.... heh. I had 4 tabs open and was referencing and such while also keeping up with 1emu within the hours it took me to sum it up.
-
What kinda bike do you have? Harley style? Or Crotch rocket. I don't think you ment bicycle.... heh crap yea, that sounds cool. Do many others here hang out? I know L.S.D. , Robert, and Blacknight met in person. What about Fatal and inky. You guys live close enough. Although...... they're personalities are extremely different. I can see Inky sitting there uncomfortably after 1emu type talk is over, and Fatal starts into his inquisition... Anyone here ever talk to him? Fatal that is. He sure is curious about alot of crap no one gives a damn about.... "how do you feel about that?" I'm just picking on ya Ryan, I know you won't be offended by what I just said, but I figured I'd add alittle levity.
-
Heh you were dude!!! look again. Anyone here ever play beer pong though?
-
Yea yea... I realized what I did after I submitted it. My bad. But thank you for the acceptance. At least I know 1 person got what I was saying.

if you like morrowind you know you will like oblivion I disagree... I loved Morrowind, and I loathe Oblivion. Indeed... It felt more complete. Oblivion just feels wrong. The skills pissed me off for one. I had 100 sword skill. Now when you used that piercing strike, it paralyzed a mall percentage of the time. I made a set of sword skill armor, and it got to what... 140... It did NOT increase the chance to paralyze. Sure one may say that would unbalance the game, but who cares. Once you are that high in level anyway, the game is cake. Same went for all skills. Nothing over 100 skill counted. Like alchemy. In my view, the game not being broke, in terms of skills and such.... broke it. I spent many an hour on Morrowind breaking the game entirely, and had a blast doing so. On top of that Oblivion had like 6 voice actors. I understand there was alot of speech, but when everyone sounded the same, it took me out of the game. But at least it doesn't sound like two worlds.... rofl. On top of that, the game seemed too easy. Of course this is all well and good, but I know you already have the game, you and BlackNight. How are you two liking it?

I wonder what a gathering would be like if I invited the major personalities from the site to a great party. I have friends that never really hang with other friends. They just wouldn't mesh. I believe it would be a similar scenario if I threw a party. Some of you would tear into the more annoying types. There are some great guy/gals here, but damned if some of them aren't annoying in some degree. I have a few in mind, but one in particular really changed modes since I took notice of him. Drake.. you were one of them. You came along way since I joined. But there are others that seem to butt heads all the time. I'm trying to visualize all of this in terms of a party... I'd be the mediator... Id have to make sure GameCop didn't talk someones ear off with lectures on getting an education and such... lol I'm just being playful GC, don't get offended... I'd have to make sure Cinder or Wizard aren't throwing elbows at someone who acts a fool or rubs them wrong. I'd have to make sure Fatal laid off the gay jokes.... seriously. And of course, Id have to make sure Bambi didn't get hit on too much or her ass pinched or some such. And for that matter, Id have to make sure L.S.D. didn't grab any boobs. Well, I guess I don't have to worry about Reaperman, dude seemed to have a crush on EM. On top of all the other crap he would pull. On that note, he wasn't a bad guy, he had some major social dysfunctions though. There are plenty of people id invite. Black Night, Gryph, Inky, Solidius, Diso, Agozer, Robert, Fumanchu, Shibathedog... I'm sure there are many more, but since I have hardly been on since February, I cannot remember alot of names, and haven't been active enough to know other major personalities. What the hell would I serve? Gryph I know would be hard to cook for, as he chooses not to eat beef. In which he would miss out on the most phenomenal hamburger anyone has ever had, no lie. My burgers are the sh!t. What would we listen to? Fatal would try to get me to put on 80's music... lol. I'm sure we would have massive gaming sessions, where Wizard would capitalize in the fighter category, I am so inclined to think. Could you imagine? It could work, but Id have to invest in tranquilizer darts and a blow gun. Perhaps a tazer and a bola in case someone ran way with the chip bowl. No double dipping guys, or ya get tazed. Would everyone behave? Or would it turn into a mad house... I wish I was rich, id have it happen if I were. lol. O.K. for arguments sake... Who would come. And what would you suggest in terms of activities. Anyone here ever play beer pong?
-
Hey... HEY... WHAT THE FLOCK!!! ya bastards..... heh... All I am concerned with in the end, is who has more bad ass games. Simple enough. But thats what has weight. With the PS2, which mind you is still selling, There are games galore. I was/am a PS2 guy. It kinda took the wind out of my sails for PS3 when all this transpired. They got the short end of the stick from the get-go. Microsoft deserves everything they get though. Look at 'em. They come out with that 'ole xbox. Late in the PS2 life. It was considered a test market to see if there was money in it. Well they found out what they needed to know in a real short time. Churned it around and released the 360 ahead of anyones expectations. I think this suggests they were developing 360 basics very very early into the 'ole xbox lifespan. They jumped right on into the market... And it surprised everyone. Well I was the biggest skeptic. What did 360 have at launch... Oblivion? Please, that game sucks ass. It is nowhere near the mark, in terms of playability. All polish, no meat. Morrowind was more enjoyable in my eyes. Oblivion had a busted ass skill system, 3 voice actors (sarcasm...), I can go on a bit about how I loathe Oblivion. I put in 150 hours on Oblivion on my friends 360. I'm allowed to say It sucked. And that was the only game at the time that I was interested in. Ya see, why buy a system for a game or two??? Well along came Gears.... I love GoW. I got an insane amount of enjoyment from the game. I am a major fan of UT so I guess it's only natural. But next thing you know, there are a ton of games, both on marketplace and in stores. I actually have to make a physical list of games I want, so I don't forget because there are so many... That is what I did with PS2, I waited until they got enough games that I could justify getting the system. And thats where I am. I have no major gripes over functionality on 360. They got PLENTY of games I want. There are alot of cross platform games, but 360 holds the all the best deals in my personal view. I'm sure Sony has a few tricks up they're selves, but.... to little too late for me. And that kinda sucks... because some of this... is beyond they're control. Sh!t happens.
-
Oh great... Solidius has been in here a bit... he must be writing up something big... I just don't know why he has an elite, but never plays. Yea I agree fable can kiss my ass what the crap is that.... it looks so crappy, I wont even capitalize the first letter like yer supposed to. Waht about Gears of War... bored? What about Geometry Wars 2? Are you getting bored of games? I've been there. Perhaps I wouldn't covet the 360 so much if I had one... .... yea... yea I would too... lol. So many damn games coming out, but the FFXIII sealed the deal and buried the PS3 personally for me. And I think that there are alot of people who feel the same.
