  1. Hey something isn't right.... EM has a Wii, and this thing was shut off but it still has the red light on the button. We haven't played it in over a week, and I just checked it..... it's cool to the touch. All we did, was use the power button on the 'mote. Sometimes, my PS2 gets crazy hot, and I go ahead and use canned air, and that usually works well enough. But since it is off, I don't see how it should be using any significant power, as to keep it warm. That is strange.....
  2. I have a 32" also, but it looks larger. And yea, I'm just looking at the actual screen, not the entire monitor. Image Shack is acting up, so I cant upload a pic, but it is an Olevia, that cost me about 550 dollars. Panel size 32" Native Resolution 1366x768 Dynamic Contrast 1600:1 HDTV Resolution 480i/p, 720p, 1080i PC Compatibility Up to 1360x768 @ 60Hz Ports HDMI 1 Component 2 VGA 1 S-Video 1 Composite 1 and an RF I don't care if it isn't great. I love this thing, and the price was right. It even came down to 500 this Christmas season...
  3. Oh flock that... I only loan my crap to a select few. I once lent out Tekken 2 in perfect condition, and got it back looking like someone sanded it. Id confront the person they lent it to, but sometimes I just get too confrontational. That is plain wrong though, treating someones belongings with no respect. Lack of respect.....
  4. Holly sh!t... that girl on the left is HOTT! I'm sure the other girls are too, but I can't see them well.
  5. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Had a couple of people over, but still had an alright time. Drank some, played some, and passed out early though, from exhaustion, not alcohol. Remember... life is what you make of it... and I am in the know, it's not like life hand me lemonade. But I sure as hell hand lemonade out!!!! I got plenty of it, as life hands me plenty of lemons. Have a great 2008!
  6. Oh yea? Life is what you make of it. But remember that alot of people think the same thing. I don't think my life sucks, but the only thing good in it is EM. My (ex) best friend failed me, I have a shiity job (still) I have no car, I can go on and on about negatives, but I think life is great! But I think it is mainly because of EM. Loved ones, is all that really matters. Solidus, Cinder and GarrageInk will back me up im sure. Life sh!ts on me... so I know what it is like, but it doesn't bother me where I am... I'm younger, but still, I'm almost 30. So whatever... Anyway I'm sorry everyone is so sick. I got a touch of something a week ago, but now I feel great. Not trying to rub it in.....
  7. I do appreciate the difficulty of the games. I HATE easy games. I wish more games were created for the hard core. Or at least difficulty settings on certain games. And im not talking about less attack power and HP, thats cheap and lazy. Im talking about a greater range of possibilities... like expanded AI... but that is a pipe dream. The game I had in mind, was Twilight Princess.... I love Zelda games, I was 7 when I played the first one (it was new) ((I am old/er)) but I am not a child, and these games coming out, are geared towards ... casual gamers. Thats why I liked that Super Metroid Redesign hack, It was measurably more difficult. So yea... kudos to DMC staff, for making more unforgiving games.
  8. UN Squadron!!! Hell yea, I played that back in the SNES days! Ever play RType Final?
  9. damn you smart woman, WRYYY DID I played and finished DMC2 T_T man was that a waste of my time. Seriously, did capcom decided to go lazy and decided to take a different approach? well it was a bad idea... I can't describe how bad this game was compare to the first in the series(which was godly imo); easy bosses (boring too), repetitive level, mute Dante, boring environments, repetitive enemies, there was a story?(i dont recall), fighting system re-used with minor changes. Well... the reason she didn't play 2, is because I knew better than buy it. She is playing my library, and it is the proverbial candy store of good games on the PS2... well... it could have more... but were saving money. Wow... I'm sorry you played #2. Chalk it up to exp.
  10. Yea GameSpot is an example of what the world has become. Propaganda spewing con artists. Hell, on top of puffed up reviews, and the firing of that guy who kept it real, and lost the sponsor, the site doesn't even do it's research. Type in Front Mission 5, and you get 3 pics of some GBA or DS looking version, when the game is for the PS2. On top of that, there are countless sites that have the same 3 pics, and say the source is from GameSpot. It's as if everyone believes everything that is said within the site. That is a prime example of how the world works. Someone says something, and everyone just plain believes it. Well I don't have a site for retro arcade games. But I do have a site for some Abandonware... so you can't get any more "retro" than that. NOT WAREZ There are some that aren't downloadable, as they are still protected, by their respective company. Abandonia There are some that are just demos, so pay attention, as to not get your hopes up. Dos Games Archive
  11. I used to do the same for movies that I thought would be bad ass, but you wont be spoiled if you watch it I think. It's more or less... a single bite of an appetizer. Hey, corniness(?) made DMC3 great. Sure, it wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but I sure got a kick out of those theatrics. Yea, but there were parts where... they needed to go in a slightly different direction. But some parts were so ridiculous, they couldn't be any other way... Like the pizza box in the air forever... killing all the guys, and then catching the box... but surfing on a baddie? Lametastic. Oh great, now I got the theme to 3 stuck in my head...
  12. Thats hilarious... but what the hell is wrong with her mouth?? Thats not sexy
  13. ha ha ha... Im supposed to be asleep.... I should have been sleeping 3 hours ago.... Researching games and such to play, once I mod this Xbox. Damn Im so tired, as I almost passed out at two... How do I stay awake? Well for sake of maintaining a decent schedule, I gotta sleep now... Saturday Night... was a chill night. But I'm having a small get together for New Years... I hope. Night Ink.
  14. Yea, usually when someone speaks out like so, they are trying to prove something to themselves. Like make them feel bigger, since they secretly are ashamed of themselves. I cried during something... a long time ago, think I was pretty young, but a movie has to be reeeeeeeeal good for me to connect to the character so much, that I am affected by whatever happened. Quite rare. Yea, I hope your strike, was really really hard. I bet he was making excuses about it too, like sucker punch or something. Hell... I've let guys go before, but Ida probably hit him way way before I got to the car. Especially in my current mindset. Makes you feel bad for his girl, as she probably puts up with all kinds of crap.
  15. Reviewing these submissions, and I have to thank you guys. Awesome...
  16. Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken One Hundred Crack Fist of the North Star Rei was no joke either. And while looking at clips, I found this Hokuto no Ken 3D Oh wow... didn't know about this either... Hokuto no Ken Raoh Den Raoh II. Looks like I gotta find these. Raoh Densetsu They had a live action.... but never saw it..... but thats a good thing... About to explode I think Laaaaaaaame... So yea... Fist of the North Star, Is one of my first anime favorites. Anyone who hasn't seen it, (animated movie) should check it out. Also the Ninja Scroll movie... Especially if you don't like anime, because those two might make you think twice.
  17. hEY!.... wHICH version did you saw from Fist of the North Start ? a friend of mine lend me the first and second episode from what it seemed to be a modern OVA... a few years ago... BYE Rubio He said movie wise.... unless I am mistaken, the actual movie Oh man if you only saw that... you MUST see this. If you drink.... Have a few when you watch it. Also, that set is from the new series, so there was an older one.... stay away from them, as they suck ass. This animated movie I mention..... Kicks major ass! Japanese release. March 8, 1986/ English Dub, North American release by Streamline in 1991. Lets see... Speed Racer is the first I can think of "seeing" but I cannot remember the first one I actually VOLUNTARILY watched. No... I can't remember... it was early 90's when I began to watch anime. But I have fond memories of the movies, Fist of the North Star and Ninja Scroll. Both do justice to anime, as there is alot of crap. So Prican25 and I have a similar thing going here....
  18. Oh....Oh.... Why would anyone freely post their rolls like that........ How do I find this stuff!?!
  19. I spy a hickey. Hey is that current... I see a tree in the back.
  20. Alright.... some Wu Tang. Wait..... Eminem wow...early 2000. Has it been that long.... I'm getting old...
  21. But doesn't that still leave files on the drive? Files that have not been written over can easily be recovered. I actually have an app, that will restore anything that has been "erased" unless the file has been written over. When you "recover", all you do is reset all the parameters to base. Right? And it tells the OS, that you have X amount of space available. But actually, the files are still there, (considering they haven't been written over) and all you need to do is run the recovery app. Or am I wrong....... Also, if the work was stolen, isn't it just as easy to make a disk of it? And if so, wouldn't this make your efforts vain. If I got ahold of something Like pics of my buddies wife... heh... (I don't) Id have them on a disk, as to not have incriminating evidence on my computer....
  22. Now its my turn... I have so much to say. As this is my first forum experience, and I only just joined at October 7th, my birthday, I have a unique perspective. When I joined, it was because the feel of the site. There are alot of cool people here, and vast amounts of information that I seek. Even though there are so many walks of life, we are united under a common interest, games. Yea yea, emulation is the focus, but games are the actual focal point. ( I don't care how cheesy that sounds, but it's true...(( not a word about cheese Davis... ))) My girl joined because I was always here, and she wanted to be a part of it too. She knows virtually nothing about emulation, but is an avid gamer. But we are all different, and sometimes in an extreme way. We probably have every conceivable variation of personality. And alot of people, ( in general ) are quite close minded, as they only see they're side. For me, someone who lives in Central Florida, diversity is commonplace. There is someone from EVERYWHERE here. I have been enriched by multifariousness, introduced to so many ways of life. I believe I am one of the most diverse people out there. I wont go into elaborate detail, but I have seen it all, and lived through a great deal. There are alot of generalized posts, ( In the Lounge ) and sometimes they do lack in terms of... content. But thats alright, because sometimes you just wanna ask something simple, or make a quick observation. etc. But sometimes a thread comes along, that interests a large amount of us. But often gets forgotten, or overlooked. Sometimes, I just don't feel like posting, and sometimes I feel the threads have nothing of interest, for me to respond to. I'm sure thats where alot of us are coming from. But it seems as if alot of you veterans, are burnt out: seen it all. And I can imagine what it's like, when something you enjoy, becomes a chore, or bothersome. Since this is pretty new to me, I guess I have a fresh take on all of this. I always hit this site, every night. Just to see what is happening. And lately... this past month or so, I really slowed down in regards to how I started out. I am participating in a minimalists way. I am often occupied, and don't have the time to get into something deep, like creating a new (serious) thread. But I try my best to participate, and keep things going. Also, about being "off topic" There is a natural flow to conversation, that is emulated in the posts. Going back and forth, covering certain angles of various related, or chain/related aspects of any given topic. But sometimes it spirals uncontrollably. At any rate, some people get agitated, some get disinterested, some try to antagonize and/or flame, and then there are those who try they're damnedest to keep "it" alive. I am new to forums. I told FatalRose this and he was shocked. Apparently I come off as a veteran. But it just boils down to, me being a talkative person, and have had alot of things happen in my life. I wanted to make a list of things I wanted to thread, but never got around to it. I wanted to release threads intermittently, that way I can always keep something going, at all times ( for the most part ) Some of you may remember some of my threads. Recomendations for Older PC Games / Unexplained things ... / Sleepwalking or Talking in your sleep I think of something, and thread it, as I don't have to wait for the right opportunity to talk about anything, like when you are with your friends or whatever. I thought my threads listed here were great in content, but died quickly. ( With exception to the old PCgames thread ) Perhaps it was due to them just slipping through the cracks, or perhaps nobody had any like experiences to contribute. Or maybe some just didn't give a damn about the topic anyway. I'm sure there are various reasons why they died, but that is how it goes. The cycle. I appreciate the submissions that were posted. Except one in particular of course.... And that brings me to the next point. Ass hats. That is a small problem we are facing. Those who have their head so far up their ass, it could pass as a hat. Sometimes you catch someone on their bad side, and it is bound to happen. While others are more prone to being crass or witless. And there are those who care for nothing but themselves, and show just how deficient they really are. Some talk down to others, as if they are actually better... And I have even seen behavior, where the only purpose, is to get under peoples skin. And once that happens, it fuels their contemptible, despicable, disgraceful, loathsome, and reprehensible behavior. It defects, or even taints the site.I have yet to respond in full against posts of the like, as all it does is agitate the situation, and induce more drivel. And at any rate, these posts are better left forgotten, as they are Nugatory: 1. Of no real value; trifling; worthless. 2. Of no force or effect; ineffective; futile; vain. 3. Not valid. So far in my time here in 1emulation, I have only contributed In lounge conversation. But sooner or later I will be creating Skins, or GUI's. Not that we need any new ones, but I would like to share with any who like them. And by the way, I think I will take requests for those who like my work. Hmmmmm. Perhaps I might get on this soon. I am a novice in terms of the technical aspect of emulation, as I don't study the workings of them. So other than my lounge posts and threads, Art is the only way I can contribute to the overall value of the site. But what I am doing, and intend to do soon, is summed up into, me just doing my best. I will be here at the capacity that I have been, and am happy to hear all the positive feedback from you guys. And thank you by the way Wizerd. I'm glad I am viewed as a positive force at 1emulation. I have also viewed the views of Gryph, among many others, (don't want to drop names and look like I'm trying to make myself look popular) But thank you guys for your compliments. Well thats my take. I intend to keep it up, and I hope that things turn out to your liking. In terms of where the site is going.
  23. Well I just played BK, and the lag made it almost unplayable for me. My dude was all over the place, and BK looked like a phantom at times. And sometimes, Id totally be blasting him .... but I really wasn't... I musta been running in the corner or something. HA HA HA... he probably thinks I am crappy... which isn't far from the truth... heh. I have an alright connection. But does that even matter?
  24. Well anyway, I am interested in getting some UT99 going in the future ..... anyone who is in decent range Of U.S. let me know, and Ill try to set something up. This goes for you too Davis... Once you iron things out.... I hear your quite the player. I need to fight strong people, to knock off this damn rust. Perhaps we can get enough for capture the flag, or team deathmatch... or one crazy free for all!
  25. Well damn James, we need to play.... not right now of course, as I am beat.... wait.. aren't you in Australia too??? Never Mind.......... Damn
