Yeah, the gruff voice was a bit overused. I love the whisper... they definitely should have used both through the film and only the screams when Batman was pissed. Otherwise, the only thing Bale has going for him is height and that he's athletic enough... he just can't top Keaton's demeanor, though. I think Tim Burton had even said it, Keaton is weird enough to dress up like a bat and fight crime. But you know who would have been good had he still been young? Alec Baldwin. And I'm pretty sure Ledger could be topped, but he was really damn good and way better than Nicholson's. It'd be interesting if they pulled the whole plastic surgery thing with Joker in future films to reference his face change (assuming they'd continue or use Joker again). Recently in comics, Joker did get plastic surgery and also gave himself a permanent smile.

Dude... speechless, almost! I'll try to be as vague as possible... A lot of the story reminded me of The Long Halloween - the villains Batman dealt with, the rise of the freaks and fall of the mob, and its emphasis on how tragic a character Harvey Dent truly is. The victims being murdered reminded me of Dark Victory, and I could totally tell that arc influenced this movie as well. And how heartless the Joker was, how evil and destructive, and how far ahead of Batman and the police - totally The Joker's Five-Way Revenge and The Man Who Laughs. Everyone was a pawn, it was amazing, and it was all true to these characters. I was so impressed by everything, especially Ledger. He was The Joker in The Dark Knight, no question about it. He was so terrifying it reminded me of Grant Morrison's take on the character, and what seemed like false pleas for sympathy was reminiscent of Alan Moore's Joker. These guys definitely did their homework! And the way the bad guys are caught... it was seriously a comic on film. And besides all of this, it was probably one of the best movies I've ever seen.

Teenage Riot is the best song on that list. Psycho Killer is pretty bomb, too. Not too bad.

Hellboy II was a definite 6 out of 10. Only because of the villain, effects, and creatures, though.

First time I smoked weed I got high. First time I drank beer I had another and kept getting more until I got drunk. First time I smoked a cigarette... nothing happened, really. I wouldn't smoke weed again since its just not my thing. I enjoy drinking liquor socially and as long as drunk is what everyone intends to get. And I'll never smoke a cigarette again since I felt disgusting afterwards and smelled terrible until I took a shower.

The only entertainment I had was Arrested Development Season Two... oh, and also learning that my boss gave me the weekend off, which NEVER happens. Ever. Unless it's requested...

My mousepad and I are scared and gassy. There's also some excitement in the mix... somewhere... I can't determine if its this trailer or Hellboy II (which I'm planning on watching today)

Saw Funny Games again and have decided to give it an 8.5

Yeah, it's a pretty amazing movie. Well, I didn't see it as hope, it was more of a cliche way that things go down in that sort of movie (minus the remote). Thing is, it would have sped up the inevitable for her instead of us viewers witnessing more mental torture. ALSO! I heard there is possibly going to be a sequel! Totally excited for that.
