Please keep up with the times and use nullDC 1.0.0 Beta 1.6. Having said that, a generic error message like that offers clue as to what the actual problem is; it's more or less a doomed effort to try and get help based on such a vague error message. It could be an issue with your drivers, system files, or simply a weird incompatibility between your system and emulator. There is no way to tell. You could try updating your graphics card drivers for starters, but don't expect it to magically fix things. What kind of graphics hardware do you have anyway? P.S. Read the board rules, we haven't put them up for nothing.

The only thing that makes the PS3 crappy, right now is because it doesn't not have a big enough games catalog to back it up, plus most of the games the console are not exclusives, and so far the PS3 has had inferior ports than the X360. Still, the PS3 will sell like hotcakes once the exclusives start rolling in and the game library really starts expanding.

Far Cry is brutal. Devil May Cry 1/3. God of War I/II in God Mode. Ninja Gaiden on the NES.

There is few that did not support it, Does your model claim to support it? Some TV's did not auto switch and had to change it yourself. On my NEC I have set to auto.. IIRC, probably not, and it's pretty obvious looking at the TV screen. Still, it's pretty damn strange that my PS2 and US R1 DVD give me a black and white screen, yet when my friend brougth his GameCube over, NTSC mode works like a charm there.

My TV still doesn't fully support the NTSC signal (black and white screen), and IIRC, it's less than 12 years old. :/

That was true in the past, but PCSX2 has improved by leaps and bounds since then. AFAIK, PCSX2 has had dual core optimizations for a while now. I can't tell you what speeds you'll get, as I am not interested in PS2 emulation nor is my computer even in the same ballpark as yours (needless to say, things go slow on my end, and I don't have a multi-core system to begin with). Sure, 2D games will run faster than 3D ones, in general.

Depends on the game and whether or not you have a multi-core system. To put it bluntly, graphics card means jack. As long as it has Pixel Shader 2.0 support and at the very least, 128MB of VRAM, it's still roughly the same as having the latest and greatest line of card. Well, this is true to the point where the development team starts to truly assign all graphics routines to the video card, lifting most the work from the CPU.

It was excruciatingly slow a few version numbers back. Surely 0.123 can't be that bad. The aaudit speed is still far from optimal, but meh.

IIRC, you need to do what's called a "language trick" (change the language to Japanese then back to English or something of that sort), and it supposedly gets in-game after that. I suggest you read the 100 + n threads found on EmuTalk for more info.
