  1. Well, how about this site: http://www.willemssoft.be/index.php?main=5&sub=19 ? Took me three seconds to google. Nothing related to MAME, however.
  2. Well, the configuration files I have are for ZinC 0.9 which only supported the versions listed. You know, 11 years ago. Things change, and when ZiNc 1.1 rolled around, a smart dude made a full-fledged trainer and no longer bothered to hack configuration files.
  3. Heh, I didn't remember I had those. At all.
  4. I don't know if it helps (and it probably doesn't), but find yourself an SFEX2Plus config file mande for ZiNc, and then rename that file to the respective .nv file. It's quite easy to find as most hacked configs for ZN games originate from the time when ZinC was the best damn ZN emulator around ( personally I think that it still is, although the underlying code is old). Of course if ZiNc uses a different addressing for configuration data, a simple filename switch won't work. Then again, the ZN hardware is fairly well documented and the hardware does write its game and machine settings/status flags in a very specific manner, so config files from ZinC should be transferable as is to MAME, save renaming the file.
  5. http://mamedev.org/updates.html Just as I feared.
  6. I'll dig around a bit and see if I can find the exact times for each time-release. A long shot, but anywho. EDIT: Holy shit. Well, my example is for Street Fighter EX, where the time-release characters unlock after 400 hours. Don't know how that translates to EX2Plus, but have this feeling that I have to take back my earlier statement.
  7. IIRC, you more or need to find a hacked NVRAM files for the game with the secret characters unlocked. Or you know, keep the play time counter rolling for several hours (If MAME or whatever you use keeps track of this, good), and at certain hour milestones a character is unlocked. I'm talking about dozen of hours at worst. Also, the Color menu cheat / getting enough points only works in EX2. In EX2Plus, all hidden characters have a time-release.
  8. You should use Pete's latest OpenGL2 driver if your video card can handle it, and with all the bells and whistles enabled if possible. That means full framebuffer read/writes, Off-screen drawing, PSX texture window emulation enabled, etc. I can give you a rundown later.
  9. IIRC, Diffs need to be compiled into an existing MAME source. You can't just open one in Notepad and make some changes.
  10. I think that the EX series has gotten some unneeded flak over the years. Sure, the mechanics in all three games aren't nearly as deep as in other Street Fighter games, and the 3D graphics are a bitch blocky thanks to the rather ancient Capcom ZN tech, but these games are still a lot of fun to play. I mean the characters created specifically for the EX series and stages haven't really been seen in any other fighting game, Street Fighter or otherwise., though there are some exceptions. Might have something to do with the fact that Arika developed the games and owns the rights, but whatever. The soundtrack was also quite good, especially in EX2Plus. P.S. Skullomania ftw.
  11. Definitely. The home of FALCON PANCH! can't be bad. P.S. Akihabara.
  12. Who knows, maybe Forever will be truly awesome beyond belief.
  13. Our beloved cat named Piki (eng: Pitch) passed away around 2:00pm local time at a local veterinary clinic. She was put to sleep and her body was donated to science and teaching. She's been a part of this family for nearly 20 years, and her old age finally caught up with her.
  14. Definitely want to see an Onimusha game on the PS3. Couldn't care less for multiplayer, though.
  15. So, um... Mission accomplished the Brit way, sort of? Good to hear that you're helping your neighbor out when no one else can't be assed to do anything.
  16. There's really no way to fix jerky video on YouTube (no way that I know of anyway), other that waiting for the video to finish loading before starting playback. I get these kind of videos every now and then, but it's not a common problem for me.
  17. Finally got Dead Space 2 Limited Edititon for a relatively cheap. Love the beginning of the game so far. How nice of them to pit armorless Isaac with no Plasma Cutter against two or three Necromorphs.
  18. The info on Versus has been very scarce so far, so this is certainly something to look forward to. Very Kingdom Hearts like combat system, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Neo-Tokyo meets a behemoth, heh. Both XIII-2 and Versus seem to be far darker than any other FF installments.
  19. Bulletstorm demo. The scoring system is beyond awesome. Looks and sounds great as well.
  20. Oh yeah, I nearly forgot. Happy Birthday, emsley.
  21. Full set up? Ask specific questions. Don't expect us to give you a guide to an emulator that's easy to figure out if you just put some effort into it. It's not rocket science, really. Look around the menus and see what they do. If entries are greyed out, there's usually a good reason for that. FBa Alpha comes with a good Help file too - read it, it's not just filler. To give you a starting point: If you don't know where to put your games, the default is the subfolder 'roms'. Games are loaded via Load Game (surprise there, huh?), available ROMs are scanned by clicking Rescan ROMsets. You cannot set your controls until a game is loaded (Game --> Map game inputs) Like I said, if you need help with something specific, ask. Don't be broad, be concise.
