  1. I still think it would far better if he just throws out that Compaq and gets a new computer (one that he has to build himself or have someone else build it for him with the parts he chooses).
  2. I'm just waiting for the Orange Box. Been playing lots of PS2 games, and crappy school assignments loom above my head. So yeah, nothing's changed.
  3. do u have virtul deamon tool manger 2 put games The Dreamcast emulators operate the same way as the actual console. That is, if you boot the console/emulator without a game, the Dreamcast BIOS boots instead. If the IOP just gets a blank screen, there's something wrong.
  4. The S3 Unichrome is an integrated graphics chip found on VIA motherboards. having said that, it will never work properly in any Dreamcast emulator (lacks or poorly implements some needed graphics features). Same goes with most integrated graphics chips, save a couple from Nvidia and ATI. EDIT: You might have a little luck with a program called 3DAnalyze as you can use it to emulate some missing features of your graphics hardware. It's not a surefire solution though, and can break more than it supposedly fixes. The bottom line is that if you want to get Dreamcast emulators working, you need a decent graphics card. Integrated chips should never be used for emulation, especially when emulation systems with complex 3D hardware.
  5. Or alternatively, run dxdiag and check the different tabs for information about your computer.
  6. The game doesn't work in any emulator at the moment. The microcode hasn't been fully uncovered, which makes it near impossible to emulate the game using the "normal" HLE way. Project 1.7 Beta has partial support (which is not much by any stretch of imagination), but only via LLE. In short: Stop trying and wait.
  7. Yes, as it was stated before, we can't help you unless you provide at least some information about your computer. What it seems like though is that you have an integrated Intel graphic chip, or your video card drivers are shot to hell.
  8. nullDC should write the configuration file in full, at the very least after you've messed around with each plugin and configured them. Another Vista quirk, perhaps?
  9. My nullDC.cfg continues with [drkpvr] Fullscreen.Enabled=1 Fullscreen.Res_X=1024 Fullscreen.Res_Y=768 Fullscreen.Refresh_Rate=60 ShowFPS=0 VersionedPalleteTextures=1 Enhancements.MultiSampleCount=1 Enhancements.MultiSampleQuality=1 [imageReader] LoadDefaultImage=0 DefaultImage=defualt.cdi [nullAica] BufferSize=4096 LimitFPS=1 HW_mixing=0 SoundRenderer=1 GlobalFocus=1 BufferCount=1 [ndc_hookjoy] PortA_CONT_C=66 PortA_CONT_B=88 PortA_CONT_A=86 PortA_CONT_START=81 PortA_CONT_DPAD_UP=38 PortA_CONT_DPAD_DOWN=40 PortA_CONT_DPAD_LEFT=37 PortA_CONT_DPAD_RIGHT=39 PortA_CONT_Z=77 PortA_CONT_Y=90 PortA_CONT_X=67 PortA_CONT_DPAD2_UP=0 PortA_CONT_DPAD2_DOWN=0 PortA_CONT_DPAD2_LEFT=0 PortA_CONT_DPAD2_RIGHT=0 PortA_CONT_ANALOG_UP=104 PortA_CONT_ANALOG_DOWN=101 PortA_CONT_ANALOG_LEFT=100 PortA_CONT_ANALOG_RIGHT=102 PortA_CONT_LSLIDER=65 PortA_CONT_RSLIDER=83 PortB_CONT_C=66 PortB_CONT_B=88
  10. For the sound buffer issue, that's a bug in the GUI. You need to change the sound buffer size manually from the nullDC config file. The crackling might have to do with Vista. I'm not sure of this, but I don't remember much if any crackling on Windows XP.
  11. About damn time. Despite what some people say, I feel that the rumble feature should be included with all gamepads these days, and it really brings some "depth" into gameplay (if you want to call it that).
  12. ZSNES Yes, it is. Special chip support is either dodgy or non-existent depending on the chip though.
  13. Japanese, obviously. :/ Changelog with Babelfish madness kept to a minimum, courtesy of Borisz:
  14. Depending on the content, it can also break our MUGEN rules.
  15. Yes, you can. nullDC recommended. A 2GHz+CPU is also recommended (you still might get hitches, DC emulation is far from being perfect or optimized) along with a decent video card. No integrated graphics chips because those fail spectacularly, due to lack of hardware Transform & Lighting and other features. EDIT: nullDc soesn't support joypads out of the box, so you'll need to use a keybord --> gamepad mapper like XPadder if you want to use a gamepad.
  16. uhm, don't you mean I hope you don't program ;p Yeah, I meant Although the sarcastic tone of >=€40 is well worth it.
  17. Yes well, I've come to the point where I think that everything That's Scandinavian economy for you. EDIT: Fixed.
  18. ... Uh, no it doesn't. The Neo-Geo BIOS is a separate set. Of course, nothing prevents you from including the BIOS files in every Neo-Geo set though.
  19. Most brand-spanking new games here cost €49.90 ($69 PS2 titles) up to €69.90 ($97 X360 and PS3 titles) Someone said that $50 is too much? EDIT: 200MYR is around USD57
  20. No, illegal rom sites can also end in .com If you want to transfer your legal copy of Metal Slug to your computer, and the only way to do that is by dumping ROMs from the cart. It requires special hardware that is extremely costly, not to mentionthat you really need to know what you are doing with it. So to reiterate, if you don't know what your supposed to do, have little money and zero tech skills, don't bother. Although this is hardly the answer you want, the easiest way is to simply download the game illegally from some site and then play that on an emulator. If you own the actual game, you should just play it as is, and not on the computer if you ask me.
  21. A near cult-status RPG that appeared on the Genesis, SNES, and Sega CD. A new Shadowrun game was developed for the PC and X360 by FASA Studio. (According to GameFAQs, FASA has made MechCommander, MechCommander 4 and Crimson Skies in the past).
  22. I haven't heard many negative things about Heavenly Sword, so I'm interested. In contrast, everybody seems to loathe Lair.
