  1. Are you trying to answer my question, if you are which comments is the answer to my question in (if you know what it is just tell me "yes" or "no"). Thier is a loooot of comments. I honestly can't say. Some people say that the Demo didn't leave any trace of SecuROM that was detected by RootkitRevealer, yet some seem to claim that it's the real deal. I can't make heads or tails of it really, I just call em' as I see 'em.
  2. Yes, it has to be a rip. Normal DVD-ROM drives can't read GD-ROM discs as is.
  3. The other link in the Slashdot article point to a blog entry, but judging by the comments the blogger is spreading FUD on his end. Go figure. Anyway, read the comments.
  4. I don't know how old or new or reliable this is, but it just happened to get my attention. http://games.slashdot.org/games/07/08/24/213256.shtml
  5. It's a Pro Action Replay save. Most likely for a GBA Pokémon game since only GBA PAR seems to use .xps and .sps file formats. IIRC, most (if not all) GBA emulators can't handle PAR saves, they can only deal with PAR codes.
  6. AFAIK, No. At least I haven't come around a single PPF patch for Dreamcast emulators (most likely because PPF patches are created so that an emulator can bypass, let's say, a copy protection checks etc.). PPF patches rarely to never correct imperfect emulation. And DC emulators if any are one of the most buggy emulators around, even if nullDC happens to be the best of the bunch. Or then your CD image is corrupt. Besides, it also could be that nullDC has poor PAL emulation. I would always use NTSC version since they are faster and smoother.
  7. Nintendo 64 section? What are you smoking? Moved.
  8. I want the PS3 to succeed as well. Don't get me wrong as I don't hate the 360 or Wii at all, in fact I own both. I don't care if one system is better than the other, it's the games I want to play. If the PS3 is going strong then I'll see more games I want to play on that system that won't be available on the other two. You can count me in on that as well.
  9. Well, yeah, that can happen as he already mailed a fission.
  10. Hey, it's a Hideo Kojima game. Anything can happen.
  11. Yes, Utima and Omrga Weapon's Light Pilalr attack is indeed a killer move. The only exception to this is that Ultima Weapon's version does 9998 damage to a character with 255 VIT, while Omega's kills outright at lv.100. Of course, since Final Fantasy VIII uses a Parallel Level system , you don't have to be at lv.100 to beat either of the Weapons (Not to mention that Oega uses Lv.5 Death, which kills an even-leveld characters with 100 Death junctioned). Omega does have Megido Flame with does 9998 damage like Ultima's Light Pillar but hits all characters. Nice. As a plus, Omega is insanely fast. As far as Ultima Weapon goes, the trick is to simply defeat Ultima so fast that he either doesn't get the chance to use Light Pillar, or takes one members out with it. . One takes a turn drawing Eden, and Squall spams Renzokuken in the hopes of invoking Lionheat. The chances of Lionheart activating are a lot higher when all the party members are nearly dead or two of them are already KO'd. If Light Pilalr hits the "wrong" person, then just revive himher ASAP with a Phoenix Down/Life (not Full-Life). Also, it really helps if your party enters the Underground Research Lab with Squall in critical status already, or then you'll have to see it it that Squall gets beaten badly enough on the way down to meet Ultima Weapon (which shouldn't be too hard since the place teems with above average enemies + battles you can't avoid like Behemoths + Bahamut and Ruby Dragons if you answer Bahamut's questions wrong).
  12. Tomb Raider: Anniversary is ace. I'm just stuck in Egypt, since the puzzles and acrobatics are much trickier than they were in the original game. And yes, Angle of Darkness was such a kick in thr groin for the series, that it practically disbanded Core Design outright (or at least conveinced many that Core has lost their magic). At least Crystal Dynamics knows what they are doing.
  13. He asked for CD-I roms first (oh the horror) and when I locked his thread, he promptly proceeded to spam the lounge with inappropriate pictures and general spam. This is the only topic I didn't touch after the Great Purge.
  14. Methinks you are mistaking him for The Sorrow. MGS3 villains had cool names, nothing more. None were as interesting or deep as the original MGS's Foxhound unit. Yes. The Sorrow. My mistake. While I do somewhat agree with you, The Boss was a stark exception.
  15. Read the board rules. No, you don't really want any CD-I Zelda games.
  16. The Fury was probably one best villains in MGS3. The End was the most frustrating, if you chose to fight him "proper" way. Well, The Pain fight was already pretty damn cool, even if it really doesn't count as a standard boss fight per se.
  17. Pretty cool names. Oh wait. Mantis, Wolf and Raven, and Octopus we're already in MGS. PLOT TWIST! On a similar note, it was kinda sad how little screentime Decoy Octopus got in the original MGS.
  18. Judging by your comment, you hate every single game in the series, because the games have a mind-reading/teleporting psychic, a mountain of a man that carries a gatling gun the same size as him, a woman that no bullet can touch, a vampire, etc. etc. What exactly do you want from the MGS series? It's fiction, not bleeding-edge accurate warfare.
  19. What does this have to do with the XBOX? Moved.
  20. Ok, I'm officially in awe. That was so awesome. I love those things! Too much? Not really. This is Metal Gear Solid we're talking about.
  21. Chankast Utilities is useless if you use Chankast Alpha 0.25 (it's useless even then), which you shouldn't since nullDC has surpassed Chankast long ago. Having said that, Chankast Utilities will only install under the default directory, which is C:\ChankastAlpha02, IIRC.
  22. Hell, Omega can take quite a few Lionhearts before going down. It's not even funny anymore. Ultima just needs one.
  23. Just try and keep your mental health. I've met people offline and online who are in the same situation as you, and they gripe about the same things.
