Have you *actually* tried burning the image on a 700MB CD? In most cases even though an image's filesize seemingly exceeds the 700MB limit, it will still fit just fine on a regular CD-R.

Well yeah, MAME 0.64 needs XORs, and most romsites do not carry those now that the CPS-2 encryption s broken. Well, many of the sites didn't carry XORs in the past either.

The most likely answer is that his romset are too new for the emulator. MAME32K 0.64 is older than ancient. Then again, I'm just guessing because of the lack of details. Not that the most recent MAME version is 0.118, which is lightyears away from 0.64.

You also fail to take into account that you've posted on a message board where the regular members are computer-savvy enough to do a System Restore, or if required, a complete format and reinstallation. The smartest have already switched to Linux.

Comparing PC games and emulated games is like comparing apples and oranges. Many games are slow even on my AMD Athlon 64 3000+ regardless of the emulator I use.
