SECAM is an abomination created by the French. Fortunately the SECAM "standard" today is much closer to the original PAL50 standard, so it's not so much of an issue that it was in the past. You have the wrong save type selected. I can't say which one is the right now, but experiment. Basically it says that the game failed to load its backup data/the backup data is corrupt, and you need to take out and reinsert the game cartridge.

Well, MAWS let users rate MAME games and then you can sort games by their rating. Needless to say, Psikyo and Cave shooters rank pretty high. Personally, I would like to see more submissions to our "Interesting/Recommended MAME Games" thread, because I believe it helps people to find new and interesting arcade games and not just those that are almost universally considered great. It has helped me at least.

My sentiments exactly. MUGEN undoubtedly has a lot of potential (or at least had some years ago), but the content that "the fans" put out is mostly utter crap, consisting of one-upping someone else's work with more characters, with little regard to actual play mechanics and character mechanics or creating a solid package that shows the creator's effort and devotion. Hence why I buy my 2D fighters from the nearest store.

Some very good points were raised. I don't have a problem with thread resurrection if the reviver is the one who made the topic or the reviver brings something new and truly interesting into the topic. Otherwise, crap will go down, especially if the post is somekind of a general quip or a question that was already answered somewhere else, either earlier in the same topic or in some other topic.
