  1. Heh, I used to play Circus Charlie on the NES when I was a kid and I thought the game was really hard. :/ I should give this one another go just for old times' sake.
  2. No, those are copyrighted software and being able to download copyrighted material from the internet without the author's explicit permission is illegal. Simple enough for you?
  3. Excellent thread, I hope this goes on for at least a little while. Now, to find some screens of this game I have in mind... Sexy Parodius As you may or may not know, the Parodius series is Konami's colorful and hilarious horizontal shooter that gratuitously rips off Konami's other famed shooter, Gradius. Although the main theme comes from Gradius in a twisted kind of way, another Konami titles get their share of the fun as well. There's a good number of characters to choose from, ranging from a blue stick figure named Koitsu, a bunny girl riding bullet/missile and the Vic Viper from Gradius, among others. Bosses are just as wacky and imaginative as one would expect from a Parodius game. You get to a fight a nude lady (of my), penguins, a huge corn, etc. etc. And finally, the game is monumentally difficult, with brancing paths that you have to unlock by getting a quota of items in the previous level. Despite that grueling difficulty, you shouldn't pass this game up. P.S. Check out Koitsu's shield.
  4. Wow, Disoblige works/hangs out/loiters at Midway. Major lulz. The comic is great.
  5. Kawaks fails at emulating KOF2001's graphics in Console Mode, so I'm not touching it. No Universe BIOS support either I'll stick with MAME and eventually the new Nebula when ElSemi gets it done.
  6. Well, yeah, it expects you to have a file named 1st_read.bin. Selfboot games need both Ip.bin and 1st_read.bin. Tools need at least the 1st_read.bin so that they can generate Ip.bin, or this is my understanding anyway. Besides I believe that the program in question once again abuses the term ISO when referring to CD image files in general. BIN/CUE pairs should do fine.
  7. Uh, why would you need a modified Kawaks? The official Kawaks 1.57 already supports all Neo-Geo romsets.
  8. Mine has more cute vibes emanating from it. I win this round.
  9. I though about posting this, but never got around to it. More sad news for Europeans as if we haven't been shafted enough already. Is it really that difficult to give the Europeans the same stuff Japan and the US gets, and on time no less?
  10. This might be a good non-spam thread (and for a few laughs) if one person only posts one picture per day and then others can comment. Someone else posts another picture the next day, and so on. btw An exercise in grammar. Can you spot the not?
  11. PigSpeed is a part of Chankast Tools, and is generally worthless for Chankast 0.25a. PigSpeed tries to make emulation faster by using some very unorthodox things to adjust the timings between the your CPU and the emulator. At least this is my understanding at least. The problem is that SpeedPig can makes your system very unstable, to the point of constant BSODs in some cases. So yeah, I wouldn't recommend using it.
  12. You have not said anything about your computer specs nor about the graphics card you have. Like iq said, there's a good chance that your computer is simply too slow.
  13. You're a damn sexy beast with that sailor hat of yours. Not the first time I've said it. Rock on zombie! I knew that comment would pop up sooner or later.
  14. I wonder why the overclocking in Neo-Geo games was removed, seeing as some games require overclocking from 12Mhz to 16Mhz at least.
  15. I demand a detailed explanation about your prolonged absence. Welcome back. Behave yourself.
  16. Alrighty then. uTorent is an excellent choice. I gather from your post that you've informed the uTorrent author(s) with problems regarding specific software firewalls and the torrent client, right. If so, good for you. On a somewhat related note, WinMX is supposedly still active, but you need a hacked client for it to work. Though needless to say, several other solutions have surpasses WinMX by now (BitTorrent being one of them). Next, about different codecs. There is ALWAYS a free, open-souce solution to any commercial audio/video codec that you might find. You said that the AC3 Dolby codec now charges users. You might want to download and install AC3Filter All things considered, I wouldn't personally use Windows Media Player to play back media files, unless we're talking about DRM'ed stuff, which you should avoid altogether. There are better alternatives. And finally, the developers of uTorrent aren't in cahoots with the RIAA. People start to over-reacting as soon as a popular program is sold to a larger establishment (in this case, BitTorrent, Inc. who aren't in cahoots with the RIAA, and never have been either).
  17. yeah that too... *fixed* Damn, I should stay away from the keyboard for a while. Too many typos destroy lives.
  18. You mean that you know a few hiragana/katakana.
  19. Few kanji and I'm fairly good with hiragana and katakana.
  20. Hm. I love "quick burst" games, like shooters, shmups and fighters. In contrast, I also love those RPGs that take a long time to finish. Ex-Clover Studio, now SEEDS are gods.
  21. SSF was updated yet again, and it's another "apostrophe" version. No changelog known as of this writing. Get it from the usual place.
