Not much better, since the sound is horrible and it's slower than Chankast.

Nvidia cards generally suck at emulating Sonic Adventure 2. Not that ATI cards are much better, but ATI cards have less texture bugs. Most of the problems stem from Chankast's inaccurate emulation. In other words, you can't fix it and neither can we.

Please check the similar threads in this forum. Use the search feature too. Many people ask how to add things, you are not the first (and certainly not the last) to do so.

Heh. If there is no dedicated folder for BIOS files, ALWAYS put them in the roms folder.

If you are trying to run commercial games, forget it. Even more so if the game(s) in question is more 3D than 2D.

Defaults are something like: 1P Start = 1 1P Coin = 5 1P Button 1 = Control 1P Button 2 = Alt 1P Button 3 = Space ... etc. But yeah, check the TAB menu.

No you don't need to create a if you don't want to. MAME automatically looks for romsets in the 'roms' folder, unless you've specified other folders where it should look. Also, do not extract the files from the romsets anywhere, just put the zipped romsets in the 'roms' folder.

Download MAME32Plus! here: http://mameplus.emu-france.com/ It saves you from a lot of hassle because it has a good GUI so you don't have to start messing with the command line. If you don't know how to use it, read the manual and put some effort into learning at least the very basics of it; it isn't very difficult. If you still have trouble understanding certain tings after reading the manual, feel free to ask more questions. As for the romset of the original arcade game, you'll have to find that on your own. We won't/can't help you with that.

Switch to Dynarec. Interpreter was never meant to be fast, it's just more compatible.

Unless your computer is really old, I'd suggest downloading MAME instead of an emulator that only plays a single game (or two) and haven't been updated in ages. The error you get is most likely because the emulator itself expects the romset to be a really old one. Many arcade games are often redumped and emulators that are not updated at a regular basis do not support the new sets. for MAME links, check the corresponding threads in the News 6 Updates forum.

Gamepads and keyboards should work fine. At least they work for me.
