  1. All the quests from the crystals, except the Cryptograph one. As far as the shop orders go, I've completed a few, but many are still in progress. As far as me finishing the game... well, might take a while. Jut don't have any will power to crawl my way through Nox and that Palace. Yeah I know, I'm wishy washy, but I'll get back to you once I'm done, and I'm not going to keep the game in the backburner forever, being a good game and all.
  2. The reason people say that the game runs at 100% with no problems is because they have more efficient CPUs and more powerful graphics cards (although graphics card doesn't play ass big of a part as one would normally think. First, you CPU is underpowered (CPU speed is essential in emulation). Second, the texture issues are most caused by your GeForce 4 MX. Said cards lack a number of graphics instructions that most if not all Dreamcast emulators use. Lacking said features on the card often results in varying degrees of graphics problems. The sound lagging behind the action is also a sign that the CPU is underpowered, and thus unable to emulate the game at the required speed. Having said all this, you could try Demul, but don't expect it to magically fix things. The most optimal choice for you is to get a cheap PlayStation 2 (or even an actual Dreamcast) and the game for either system. No slowdown or graphics/sound issues. I'm quite happy with my Veronica on my PS2 despite being hard as nails (or then I just suck at playing it).
  3. Well, Pressing Start (don't know what the XBOX equivalent is) cycles target locks.
  4. Yes, I know the definitions for both Azure and Fosse. Didn't help much. :/ Maybe I'm just not thinking straight. The first one was easy. About the secret mining points on Nox: The first one I found was in the very first area just before the first "sphere lifts". It's to the left in a small nook. The second one is in the middle of the second area, near the Chimera that prowls there.
  5. IIRC, there's one hidden mining spot in The Sanctuary on En II (near where the three crystal thingamajigs are), and at least two on Nox Obscurus. Those three are the ones I found, at least. P.S. I can't for the life of me solve the second Cryptograph. I bet it's something piss easy, but I just don't get it.
  6. I haven't played TLH in a fairly long time, except some occasional grinds in Nox Obscurus. I guess I should try and finish the thing some time next week. No, I don't think I have Laser Suits either. Haven't checked though. On another note, I remember that the shops on En II have some hard-ish quests involving special armor and weapons.
  7. Yes, this much I knew from the very beginning. An option to keep Faize in the party seems like a nice touch, precisely because of his otherwise unobtainable Battle Trophies. EDIT: I heard that the English dub is pretty horrible. Afraid to confirm it myself.
  8. I don't think Faize's eyes glowing means that someone or something has possessed him. IIRC, it was revealed at some point during the story that their race has undergone extensive DNA manipulation, Arumat being the most extreme case. Due to this manipulation, whenever Faize has a huge emotional shock or something otherwise causes his normally suppressed emotions to surge, his eyes change color. You know, first time was when he saw the nomad girl being sacrificed by that religious nutjob on Roak and the second time being the "need to save my people" rant and leaving things to Arumat. Or maybe I overlooked something and he really is possessed. As to what happened to Faize, I bet he's ramboing it up something near the core of the planet. I would prefer Arumat sticking with the rest of the crew till the very end. He's the better fighter after all. btw, did you beat Arumat in a duel in one of his Personal Actions? EDIT: Good job beating the game.
  9. Yeah, have had it for a long time now. I'm just before the final boss, trying to tie up some loose ends.
  10. I also have this feeling that I missed a chest or two on the Carnianon Mothership, because back then, not only was this place hard as nails (especially the mechanical dinosaur type, and of which you get to see an assimilated version in Nox Obscurus), but also you didn't have the key item that shows chests on the map. I'm kinda slow and methodical when it comes to playing Star Ocean and JRPGs in general, so you'll probably go past me fairly soon.
  11. Yea, Nox Obscurus morphing like that was great. I haven't been reading any FAQs to avoid spoilers, but I'm pretty sure that this game has at least one post-game dungeon, otherwise it would be a break in tradition. Plus, there hasn't been any optional dungeons in the game up to the point where I'm now. Not to mention missing monster data, I'm also missing weapon data and spaceship data, too. I will be slightly disappointed if the game ends after Nox Obscurus. Then again, if the post game stuff is awesome, I guess that'll make up for it. That Palace of Creation is a bitch as well; has at least eight "rooms" (turned back and returned to the ship after playing Nox Obscurus for four hours straight and reaching said floor with no savepoint or boss in sight). P.S. I'm playing the "enhanced" PS3 version, so I kinda out of it for a brief moment when you said "Disc 3".
  12. I am on Nox Obscurus as well, in its dungeon (Palace of Creation or somesuch). I'm not exactly bitching about the lack of MP (even though CPU-controlled Meracle really burns through her MP in no time), I just like to keep a decent amount of purple bonus plates so that I know that I'll get all HP and MP back after a battle. No need for me to use Convert either. My levels are something like Lv.91 each. I'm not much of a fiddler and experimenter when it comes to accessories, but Slayer's Bangle and a special talisman for Lymle (forgot its name, offers nice stat boosts across all parameters) . And by taking a lot of punishment, I mean that if you don't want to rely on the strongest skills that much. I've usually ended the battle long before any of my characters get even remote chance at activating Rush Mode. I don't know if you got it, but there's special Battle Trophy for Bacchus you can get in the fight against that one boss in En II. Lymle is an excellent character to have fighting it out, because her spells are so powerful. She's particularly lethal when coupled with Fast Cast. Sarah too, although she's more of a good support character and best left CPU-controlled. P.S. Black Hole Sphere and Irradiation ftw. Also, Meracle's Somersault Smash canceled into Claws of Fury, canceled into X-Claw... total destruction. P.P.S. I synthesize like there's no tomorrow.
  13. I know this problem well Perhaps you missed some quests, and perhaps there is a post game dungeon. Yea the bonus grid is usually set to %100 XP and %4 recharge for me. I get 14 green tiles and grind weak monsters for items and pts. I can only imagine how much ruin I will create when I get the end game items. I don't know... I haven't missed any particularly noteworthy quests (unless a few in Lemuria before going to the Cardianon ship count - the damn game made no indication that after that particular section, those quests would no longer be available) and having 50 different monsters in a bonus dungeon or dungeons seems kind of overkill. A standard dungeon has 10 different monsters max, often less. Outside areas have slightly more. I usually go with roughly 7% recharge and rest EXP for me. I find that the monsters tend to be tough enough to not to be trifled with, meaning that high-end skills are mandatory, and at least 6-8% recharge along with those. Characters with high MP offensive skills (Edge and Meracle in particular) go through their MP like popcorn with triple skill cancels. Having an all green board is kinda nice too, but it takes considerable effort to make all the tiles green in the first place.
  14. What exactly does this have to do with the PlayStation 2? If the official servers are done for, the the game never got any tools for creating your own dedicated server(s), then you can't do anything about online play.
  15. If only I'd know. My not-so-expert of an opinion for a long time has been "Not a whole lot of things". I'm currently in on a planet that feels and seems like the very definitely final dungeon of sorts, but it can't be because I'm missing around 50 different monster, a bunch a weapon and spaceship data, etc. etc. The dungeon in that particular planet is kind of a bitch, too. Bit too fond of obscure puzzles. Excellent place to level up your party though. ~30,000-50,000 EXP for from a battle isn't shabby by any means.
  16. Yeah, Star Ocean 4 is great as far the Battle System and pretty much everything else goes... with the exception of the dialog, which will on many occasions make most gamers want to strangle babies. Still, the game has its moments story and dialog-wise, for me anyways. I'm one of those gamers that don't really get that bothered by poor script and dialog, as long as the actual game mechanics are worth my time I can deal with pretty much anything. The one thing I really don't like about how JRPGs are constructed is the choice that any given game has either an emo loner-type character, a complete opposite of the former with too much attitude/energy... or in a move exemplified by SO4, a fairly "normal" person that gets poor dialog and/or suffers a crisis of faith and breaks down, followed by needing his or her party to smack him around and given him/her a pep talk of sorts to get back in the game. It's like it's impossible to create a character that's not only level-headed and sure of himself/herself, but doesn't get whiny at any point in the game. Also, it's equally impossible for such a character to have a a troubled past and having dealt with that issue long ago, instead of always having to face his "demons" during the course of the game. P.S. Bacchus is the man. [/rant]
  17. Remember to Click Options --> Save Options after you've made changes. If this doesn't work, you need to make sure that you've got write permissions to the folder No$Gba is in.
  18. Yahoo Answers is awesome precisely because so many answers are trolls.
  19. Few things I hate about Killzone 2 are the sections that constantly respawn Helghast unless you get past a certain "trigger". It's hard to advance when those damn mongrels fire at you from almost every angle, and duck behind cover like the fuckers they are. Currently stuck at one such point.
  20. Parasite Eve II. Great, albeit somewhat difficult thanks to Capcom's trademark tank controls.
  21. Wesker is one significant bastard in all of Resident Evil, so it's not a very big surprise he was put in.
  22. Well, this sure came out of nowhere. I didn't expect Tekken Tag to resurface after all these years. Tag throws seem awesome.
  23. Just a little something I stumbled across on teh Internets. http://io9.com/5639113/the-scariest-video-...name-of-science Words of the day: Balls and nerves of steel
