  1. One would think so. Which is why I don't believe that this announcement is true.
  2. I should probably get this and also seriously start playing Dawn of War. Excellent review btw.
  3. I've never owned any systems prior to the Playystation, which I bough with my own money back in 1999. It was followed by the PS2 in December 2001. Well ok, the only "system" I've ever owned was the original monochrome GameBoy, which still hasn't broken.
  4. We encourage new members to actually participate in conversations, than to just have people registering so they can play games and never post anything. You can check your from your profile. It ais also displayed with every post you make, you know. The limit is 35, IIRC.
  5. What the hell? Does this mean MAME32 Plus is gone too? I hope not.
  6. Another half-baked thread by Darken... am I going to see a pattern here soon?
  7. Yes, it works on all XP versions that have SP2 installed.
  8. Yes. Virtual TI is god. You need the firmware images for different calculators though.
  9. I do play games on my TI-85, but my connection cable is at my friend's house. :/ Sttill software for the TI-83 Plus doesn't really do my calculator any justice.
  10. Excellent work there olaf. I will give this one a shot.
  11. Wii stands for "We". Nintendo wanted to make the name sounds something like when people gather together and play games on their new console.
  12. STV BIOS ins only applicable if you plan on playing arcade games that run on Sega's Titan Video hardware. STV games do not generate this error since all music data is fetched from the romset.
  13. I don't have the beta but I know a few things about it: 1. Option to use LLE. Hence why Rogue Squadron and Indiana Jones The Infernal Machine partially work. Also very slow. 2. Jabo made numerous fixes tothe Direct3D graphics plugin fixing a good number of graphical bugs in many games. This includes Dr. Mario being "perfect", no more flickering in Paper Mario, etc. 3. High resolution texture support. 4. Transfer Pak emulation in Jabo's DirectInput plugin, IIRC. 5. Hardware Framebuffer effects in support is still in the dark, although Glide64 already supports this. This is what I know about it, but don't take all of this as gospel.
  14. Yes, I've gotten several NDS games working at respectable speeds (only 2D games, mind you).
  15. No handheld has regional lockouts.
  16. IIRC, critics trashed Tao Feng pretty thoroughly.
  17. PAL region getting shafted again, no doubt. Still, if they have such low expectations of the game....
  18. bsnes is already moreaccurate than ZSNES or Snes9x. The only thing that might keep people from using it over the other two emulators is the fact that it lacks support for the more complex SNES chips.
  19. _DriveStatus_Play() error happens when the game uses CDDA tracks as background music. Daemon Tools can only mount CDDA tracks if the tracks are in WAV format and properly defined in the .CUE file. When there are no CD tarcks defined in the CUE file, DT just monts the game image and not the redbook audio. When SSF tries to start playing music from the mounted "CD", it can't find any CD tracks form the disc. Hence the _DriveStatus_Play() error.
  20. Well, my BitDefender virus scanner promptly stopped me after I opened the folder where I extracted the contents and explained that the exe files is infected with Backdoor/Virkel.A I don't know if this is a false positive or an actual trojan. Comments? EDIT: I found out that the latest BitComet client can also patch TCPIP.SYS to allow more half open connections. Thanks anyway.
  21. I just upgraded to Service Pack 2 a few days ago because Microsoft is dropping the support for SP1. I don't have any problems with SP2, but I've been reading about TCP/IP limiting the number of open connections to 10 or somesuch. Now, what exactly does this do? I also read that there is a fix for this issue somewhere. Like I said, I haven't had too many problems with BitTorrent or connections in genetal, although web-browsing seems a little slow at times. So, has someone else used this "fix" to fix whatever limitations SP2 brough about and by doing that, did the fix improve downloads/uploads at al? Also, does someone have any links to this fix?
  22. I think I flunked a test today. Stress on "I think".
