My somewhat educated guess is, no there isn't. :/ Which is kind of a shame really - from what I've read, Time Crisis 4 is a major letdown.
-
Cheetah Men is one the pinnacles of abysmal game design. They couldn't even program the music in such a way that it would play without getting interrupted by sound effects.
-
I don't know if that can be bought separately, but it's bundled with Time Crisis 4.
-
Have you tried loading just the CCD file? I suggest you rip disc 2 again, if all else fails. Personally, I find Final Fantasy VIII definitely worth the effort, but then again, I have the original discs that I play on my PS2.
-
Yes, you create a blank file with a .cue extension and paste the CUE information in there. Make sure you do not create a text document with a .cue extension (i.e. Disc2.txt.cue - a double extension file). Double quotation marks are mandatory in the first line, since they define the exact filename of the disc image in question.
-
Someone needs a Capcom Fighters 101 refresher course.
-
Why are you even asking that question?
-
Then, if only just or kicks, write your own CUE file and test it. I'm going to assume that the image is a single session MODE2 with no redbook, so the CUE should look like: FILE "imagename.img" BINARY TRACK 01 MODE2/2352 INDEX 01 00:00:00

The damn postal service is beiingn a slow-ass mother... won't be getting my copy until Monday. :/ Guess I'll just settle for the soundtrack for now.
-
If your disc image truly does not have an extension, add it manually (try .IMG) and try booting the game again.
-
Hmm, want to try and play with me? Let's see how the connection is You know my answer to this question.
-
Does "Disc 1 iso image" actually have an extension of any kind? You know that all standard files come with a file extension, right? Unless you've made it so that Windows automatically hides supposedly known file extensions. Please turn that "feature" off, as it's more hassle than it's worth.

Final Fantasy VIII doesn't use redbook audio, so he's in the clear on that. Although know that I've checked a few things, an incorrect header message in pSX can also be the result of trying to load a BIN disc image without a CUE file. For the informed, a CUE file should always be present, pointing directly to the right disc image and said CUE files should be the one being loaded, and not the BIN disc image.

My copy arrives on Friday. First time I'll get my hands on Street Fighter IV, save this one time when I gave the game a go at a friend's house.
-
I still say that the disc images are corrupt. I'd say to not trust your friend's ripping abilities 100% and rip the discs yourself.

Might as well jump into this Nintendo conversation... As far as the GameCube goes, the it had its system-sellers but those games were by large developed by Nintendo's in-house studios. True 3rd party support was piss poor, save for a very few exceptions. Another Mario game? Check. Another Pokemon game? Check? More Zelda? Definitely. Nintendo is notorious for recycling their "hits" ad nauseam thanks to the existing fanbase. I've never really liked how the GameCube looked aesthetically - too boxy and toy-like + the original color scheme The GC controller, while definitely ergonomic, is otherwise a design nightmare for me. Along with the much-lambasted D-pad, the placement of the buttons pretty awkward, and I've never liked how the triggers feel. Nintendo definitely gets props for introducing gaming to the casual audience with the Wii, but seeing the game library consist of game trash like Imagine Party Babies and its ilk makes me all the more concerned that even with the Virtual Console, Nintendo has completely sidestepped hardcore gamers and what they want from a gaming console. Then there's the seemingly endless parade of Wii ports of older games with motion controls tacked on for good measure, just because "Motion controls make the experience far better and justify charging full price for an old game". Like with the GameCube, some 3rd party efforts come out of the woodwork and turn out great (Dead Space: Extraction, MadWorld, etc.), but aren't nearly enough to cause much change in the otherwise extremely homogeneous game library.

pSX and ePSXe are two completely different emulators. Please make up your mind. Have you tried the disc images in ePSXe?
-
Are you using ePSXe's built-in ISO loader or perhaps booting games via a virtual CD-ROm drive? Which version of the emulator?
-
So true. Personally, though I like The Protector more than Ong Bak. Ong Bak 2 was a bit meh, but fight scenes were great. Hopefully Ong Bak 3 doesn't disappoint.
-
Is there a difference in how you load discs vs. how your friend loads them (provided that your friend indeed has the exact same disc images)? However, I'm inclined to conclude that since you get an incorrect header error in an ISO9660-based disc image, the image is corrupt.

Sony says that a number of PS3 games will get the 3D treatment along the new 3D Bravias they're putting onto the market. Killzone 2, Wipeout Fury HD and MotorStorm seem to be few of the titles getting the treatment. Personally, I've never seen even any 3D movies, but I plan to go see one eventually. I have mixed feelings about this whole advent of "3D" gaming. I don't see myself desperately buying a new TV and a few games again just to get into this 3D bandwagon all the big industry players are pushing.

You are trying to run the NES version of Gradius, and MAME expects the PlayChoice-10 version (an arcade equivalent of the Nintendo Entertainment System). Now let me get this out of the way: MAME does not emulate consoles, only arcade machines. Most people would rather play the true arcade version of Gradius instead, and not even touch the PlayChoice-10 version. Alternatively, you could play the NES port of Gradius (the ROM image you currently have) in any respectable NES emulator. P.S. You should never install anything in temp directories. P.P.S. The proper parent romset for the arcade Gradius is called Nemesis, in accordance with the game's European name.

Finally finished Bayonetta. The game's like 100 awesomes in one, but the final boss is ridiculous in its difficulty.
-
Well, for starters, what games are you trying to run? I'm assuming that you are missing the necessary BIOS files for these games or you didn't get proper MAME sets to begin with. Gives us a small sample of the filenames/sets that MAME reports as missing.
