  1. Yeah, I was a victim of such freeze, happened in the derelict School at the beginning of the game. I haven't played the game after I got my PS3 hooked up to the Internet, so I don't know if the patches addressed the freezing issue. I'm assuming it has been fixed.
  2. Well yeah, those four have never seen an English release. Really good shooters, though.
  3. I think we've already covered those.
  4. I don't think so. It's usually the other way around, or most commonly, some months worth of a wait before the same stuff is released in the EU PSN. I also doubt that the japanese PSN has stuff that borders on hentai. Moe, sure.
  5. Ah, you may have a point there.
  6. Where do asses fit in all of this?
  7. It's PlatinumGames we're talking about here, which leads to me to believe that they will achieve balance.
  8. Ridge Racer 7. I'm quite please with it, for a game that cost me €5. Haven't really gotten used to the fact that all cars utilize drifting. Also, Shatter. One of the best PSN games along with Critter Crunch.
  9. what does that mean? It doesn't really mean anything. It's just a phrase often used when you lift something, do something that involves repetition, stand up, etc.
  10. In order to get in-game saving to work, you need to set the correct savetype and start a new game. If you switch the savetype mid-game, in-game saving will not work, even if the correct savetype is set. That's from my experience anyway, but I could be wrong. If Haldrie shows up, he can clarify this. P.S. There's really nothing you can do, since trading relies on the in-game save data being present.
  11. Contra Shattered Solder isn't truly 2D. It's 3D on a 2D plane. Red Star and Klonoa 2 aren't 2D either. Viewtiful Joe games are the same. Addition's to that list: King of Fighters XI + every other older KOF game ported to the PS2 Disgaea 2 NeoGeo Battle Coliseum Ar Tonelico II Mana-Khemia Mana-Khemia 2 Soul Nomad & The World Eaters Stella Deus P.S. You've got Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil in that list thrice. Makai Kingdom: Chronicles of the Sacred Tome and Disgaea twice.
  12. Because he wants the japanese PSN stuff that isn't available in the west - I thought that was obvious.
  13. Damn, that's just not right. I don't mind if someone else uses parts of some copyrighted work in a derivative work, and credits the original author in the process, but this is ridiculous. P.S. "20000 to 20000 in 2 days" doesn't sound right. 200,000 maybe?
  14. I don't understand, but I promise I'll be careful with my sexual orientation.
  15. The Darksiders demo is massive. From the official press release, it clocks around 90 minutes to two hours.
  16. From the PlayStation Store, where else? It's been there since last Thursday. Same demo as the one shown at E3 2009, btw. 2.7GB download.
  17. God of War III demo and Darksiders demo. Regarding GOWIII, either I hit a glitch that makes the game unwinnable or then I can't find the right thing to do to proceed with the game.
  18. Yeah, tell me about it. And it's not like the logos suddenly disappear, either. Weird.
  19. Okay, question time: Dead Space, Killzone 2 (and probably others, too) have this option to adjust the in-game brightness/gamma. Dead Space asks to adjust the brightness until the EA logo is faintly visible, and Killzone does the same, except with the Helghast logo. The problem I'm having is that I don't see any logos on the black background, no matter how much I fiddle with the in-game slider or my TV's brightness settings. Now, there's nothing wrong with the brightness levels per se, and both games look just fine, but the supposed test logos aren't THERE. Sure, a minor gripe, but is this a universal problem or just some quirk with my Killzone 2 Demo and retail copy of Dead Space, or perhaps something to do with how my Sony Bravia handles HDMI output?
  20. Well, Quantic Dream also developed Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy that had very similar (if not exactly the same) gameplay mechanics. Like in Heavy Rain, action scenes in Fahrenheit were all about certain button press and motions at the right time. Every single aspect of these games is one way or another tied to QTEs and context-sensitive motions. Heavy Rain took this a step further by adding motion sensing. Personally, I think that these kind of design choices make Heavy Rain stand out from the rest, and in a good way.
  21. The combat system is too slow for its own good. Too much time spent on positioning your characters. Other than that, it's good.
  22. Indeed an awesome demo. A lot of people seem to call Yakuza is spiritual successor to Shenmue, and personally I find that to be spot on. The Yakuza underling boss fight is pretty difficult in the demo after he whips out a katana. I just spam Square, Square, Square, Triangle, Triangle for that. you should get the super finishing move by then. But, but I don't like spamming. :/
