No. Both are currently XBOX and PC exclusives, although there have been rumors of Mass Effect 2 coming to the PS3.

I just put my own gamelist up.

Heavenly Sword and some Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Star Ocean: The last Hope International arrives tomorrow, so I guess I'm a bit tied down tomorrow afternoon.

You bet. Ninpo is also more useful in certain boss fights, although the damage output isn't very staggering. Bery good at crown control in Sigma 2, and regular enemies usually just start circling around you doing nothing while you cast. Plus, the game always pauses when you whip out the weapons/items/ninpo quick menu.

It's probably better if the first page would act as a large master list that corresponds to your first suggestion. It's going to be a big post, though.

Yes. All games have an in-game save feature and the emulator supports this (after all the emulator emulates the hardware, and by proxy, the game as well). Do not use savestates (as in clicking File --> Save in the emulator) as your primary saving method. They can be easily corrupted and are unreliable as a result. If you've read the first post in this thread, you should be aware of the steps needed to make "proper" saving work in Pokemon Emerald. After that, you also need to make sure that the folder VBA treats as a save folder is not marked as Read-Only (as you might guess, Read-Only denotes that the folder cannot be written to, hence no save files will ever be created in it, be it "proper" saves made in-game or savestates).

A new member that's not a bot? Unbelievable.

From what I've read on GamFAQs, the latest patch to NGS2 supposedly tweaked some of these impossible Missions to make them less slightly more manageable, but alas, I have no concrete info on that. Said patch also fixed some of the bugs that would let players exploit some glitches in the system, namely making it easier to rack some serious damage on these bosses in a short window of time. Go figure, the Missions are still hard as nails, patch or no patch.

Mostly true, but I've had a lot of fun, not to mention effective attacks with Lunar as well as the Vigorian Flail. the Nunchucks on the other hand, are kind of meh. On a different note, some of the Missions in Sigma 2 are on a whole new level of difficult (take on two or three major bosses AT THE SAME TIME).

I've beaten Sigma 2 on Acolyte, and currently undertaking Chapter 8 on Warrior. Having said that, Sigma 2 is easier than Sigma, although the game still offers a badass challenge. Now, the first Sigma is the kind of game that'll make you its bitch if you're not careful. Your problem is that you're sucking, and you're using the wrong tactics. The thing you have to remember when fighting Genshin (or basically any boss for that matter) is to always dash around and block like crazy. You're bound to get your guard broken by one of Genshin's combos, so as soon as that happens, use Reverse Wind and dash, since guard breaks often occur in the middle of a combo. Reverse Wind has a caveat though: It doesn't grant you immunity while doing it, so if you dodge and the boss/enemy hits you during the dodge, you'll take damage. It's also critical to try and stay as close to him as possible, since he let's his guard down only momentarily after an attack. Jumping or sneaking around is useless, although it's possible to Izuna Drop him, which takes a huge chuck of life out of him. Of course, if you can master the strict timing of counter attacks, you can also use those while blocking. As far as weapons go, some weapons are better suited for certain kind of enemies, but I don't know if there 's a tangible difference in boss fights. Use the weapon you feel most comfortable with. The problem with bosses is that they seldom go into a hit stun, so using weapons that have long multi-hit combos can put you in a difficult position, since you can't cancel combos into a block. If the boss doesn't go into a hit stun during your combo, then she/he is free that smack you out of the combo, too.

No no no, the correct phrase in this situation is "Tits or GTFO".

Definitely Battletoads.

[11/02/10] Resistance fall of man 1 and 2
Agozer replied to emsley's topic in 1Emulation.com Reviews [/reviews]
It's nice that you took these two games up for review, but let's face it: this is really a non-review. If you are going to bash the games, bash them with style with enough insight so that people can really get a decent understanding of what exactly was so bad about the games, instead of just "It felt like frogger". Furthermore, I doubt the games were all-around shit. There must have been something good about them. Give some of the spotlight to the good points, even if you feel that the majority of the game sucked big time. As such, this is not only a non-review of two games, but also a heavily biased one as well. -
Best NES and SNES emulators?

Swirly effects? If you mean some of the effects that can be seen overlayed on the screen when the ZSNES menu is visible, those have been in ZSNES for many many years. -

I think it's either 1.42, or 1.50 -
Best NES and SNES emulators?
Agozer replied to Gomess's topic in NES & SNES Emulators [/pc/nes+snes]
Depends on what you play with it and what version you use. 1.51 has a broken SA-1 emulation making all SA-1 chip games either not work or glitch in unexpected ways. SA-1 wasn't as broken in 1.42. The sound emulation in 1.51 is also terribly inaccurate, but has since been "fixed" by introducing a completely rewritten sound core. -
The series kinda lost its edge after Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution (I mean come on Virtua Fighter 5 is more or less 4Evo with better graphics), and the entire series as a whole hasn't really evolved at all over the years. I still love Virtua Fighter for sure, but all the other fighting games simply offer more, even though VF is still considered to be the Gran Turismo of fighting games.

Yes, and the platforming was nicer too, IMO. -

Actraiser 2, to be exact. -

Please do not speak that name in my presence. There should be an interim release of some sort for ZSNES in the near future, because it's been so long since 1.51 was released. -
Too many new games to choose from - brain freeze-

Dead Space 2 has already been confirmed, you know. -
Best NES and SNES emulators?
Agozer replied to Gomess's topic in NES & SNES Emulators [/pc/nes+snes]
NEStopia is the best NES emulator, bar none. For SNES, either Snes9x, bsnes or ZSNES 1.51/1.42. bsnes doesn't support omst of the special SNES chips though, but it emulates "basic" SNES games far more accurately than ZSNES. This is reflected on the system requirements, though. As a personal plug of sorts, you can find a couple of custom font packs for ZSNES on my site. ZSNES 1.51 only, mind you. -
Well, you did support Capcom by buying the game, plus home console versions often have extras not present in the arcades. Well, the PSX wasn't particularly good at rendering 2D, but that's another story altogether.
