Really, really weak. How can they possibly release a game that has no extra features whatsoever? I mean unlockables constitute replay value. Hidden features constitute replay value. Sure, it's looks great, but if everything you see in the game from the get-go is all you are going to get, what's the point? I still can't wrap my mind around why they didn't include a last boss. It's like SNK Playmore never intended this game to be played solo. Is there even a storyline? As if all of their effort went into designing characters and stages. The final nail in the coffin: FIVE STAGES? Just five?
  2. Haven't been doing much lately. Still don't have a job (fuck this recession), and I should start planning my thesis work - if only I had some motivation to do it.

Sorry to hear that. I was kind of expecting more from it. No boss? What the hell? Also, what's this Critical Counter feature about and what makes it useless? In somewhat-related "news", I was personally blown away by what Falcoon and co. did with Maximum Impact 2, considering that it's in full 3D - the first game was a letdown in many areas, but damn, the sequel made up for it in spades, IMO.
  4. You are not very good at explaining things, I see. You might want to tell when exactly this error pops up. Since I don't have much to go with, I'll just assume stuff: You are most likely using savestates which are not compatible with that version of VisualBoy Advance. No, there is no way to make them work. Use regular in-game saves. Having said all that, use VBA-M if you aren't already - all the other versions of VisualBoy Advance ar not worth it
  5. Oh fuck this. It's no secret that the 3D0 has absolutely the worst lineup of "games" in its library out of all the consoles in history (yes, even Jaguar games are more desirable), but this is just unbelievable.
  6. A book fell past my window the other day. Other than that, I don't remember any odd happenings lately. Well, I did see a woman commit suicide when I was 7 but I'd call that terrifying, not odd.
  7. Ahahahhaha. I don't know about that being hot, but it's great in a rather disturbing kind of way.
  8. I've never quite understood the usefulness of a shoutboxes on messageboards. Someone enlighten me, and make damn sure that it's a decent explanation (i.e. something other than "because everybody uses it and it's cool, lol").
  9. I'd so go see that movie. lol two eyepatches.
  10. Frankly speaking, nothing out of the ordinary. Does the console window show any error messages?
  11. Yes. there is always a way to get stuff on the Internet, I'm sure you are aware of that. Google it. Or Yahoo it. Or Bing it. Or whatever search engine you use. No, you can't ask us to get it for you. ...Which has very little to do with Dreamcast emulation. Anyway AFAIK, this "model XXXX can read CD-Rs without modding, while model YYYY can't" myth has been proven to be false. Given the use of proper bootdiscs and proper burning methods, any Dreamcast console should be able to boot and play any game.
  12. You could have told what version you were using. What you are using is an old version of nullDC (v1.0.0 Beta1), for starters. The latest version is 1.0.3.
  13. nullDC requires VisualC++ SP1 runtimes from Microsoft to run (had you read the accompanied ReadMe file, you'd know this). Demul requires dc.zip with dc.dat in it and the Dreamcast BIOS file (both need to be in the roms folder). I would also suggest that you refrain installing your stuff directly onto the Desktop.
  14. I say get a new dc_flash.bin somewhere (don't let the emultor create it on its own). That might be the problem. Also, don't touch the date/time values. Pressing B doesn't cancel the set date/time screen?
  15. Kinda defeats the whole point, huh? Although only mods and admins can check the contents of the post anyway.
  16. Your dc_flash.bin file is corrupt if the emulator keeps asking to set the date/time. Only the non-Echelon version of Skies of Arcadia works on Chankast (good luck finding that unless you rip your own disc images) . There is a program to "fix" the Echelon release to run on Chankast, but said program only works perfectly for some, and once in a blue moon. If you want to play SoA so badly, I suggest you try Demul or nullDC instead.
  17. Well, you could always try another emulator, if Chankast fails you (they are far better anyway). Still, if both files are present as is in the Data directory, such error message shouldn't come up.
  18. Make sure that dc_bios.bin and dc_flash.bin are in the Data directory.
  19. I think Hera is mistaking "The Summoning" for the two Summoner games, both on the PS2. Also, you might want to try Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner series, as both games rely heavily on using summoned demons in battle. Actually, most games in the SMT series do.
  20. You must be referring to Tondemo Crisis -- totally bizarre game. No, not that, although Tondemo Crisis is on that list too.
