  1. Sounds like another case of Intel's integrated graphics chips. If this is the case, there's nothing you can do. If I'm wrong, update your graphics card drivers.
  2. Hey, me too (throw exception agz_age = mrg_age++) It's been ages since I came here.
  3. Super Mario Bros. move was awesome. This KOF movie might as well fall into the same category as Dead or Alive (which AFAIK, never got a theater release around here). In all seriousness though, I think, say the NESTS saga would make for an intersting groundwork for a film's plot, but it's hardly surprising if either the scriptwriters or the director pull an Uwe Boll and the end result is an abomination which leaves even the most hardcore fans disappointed.
  4. And so both the company and the game they have been working on for 13 years go down in history (well, who knows, maybe someone picks up DNF just to prove a point that said game will get released - or not). Man, I have so good memories of 3D Realms and Apogee. Commander Keen FTW.
  5. End the combo with a special move or fierce punch or fierce kick.
  6. No gravedigging. Make sure that Windows properly detects the PS2 controller (and the USB converter). then try etting the buttons in Kawaks. And use 1.60.
  7. Usually a specific move that will set up the opponent for an air combo ("launcher", as in, a move that will launch the opponent in the air).
  8. Above all else, keep your Windows up to date. I can't stress this enough.
  9. It's all in the lauchers. You can always check GameFAQs, if you are unclear about the mechanics of a particular game.
  10. The files could very well be hidden as well. I doesn't hurt to run Microsoft's spyware removal tool or, say, HijackThis
  11. You can start by unticking them, so that [hopefully] they won't start the next time you start Windows. The problem is that many trojans are sneaky enough to somehow manage to activate themselves even their processes are supposedly unticked in the System Configuration Utility. I had a similar issue with my computer a few weeks back, and the only thing that saved the day was a System Restore point a few days earlier. You should also check the registry key entires for them and delete all keys that point to those DLL files. After that, try deleting the files in Safe Mode and/or running your antio-virus program in safe mode to see if it can delete/quarantine those files.

  13. I don't have any experience in Kessen, but it's an intriguing series. I suggest that you read at least some of the GameFAQs review (or any other reviews you might find) before making the decision to purchase or not. It all boils down to whether you like strategy games or not, really.
  14. All the Dreamcast emulators cannot boot non-selfboot image as is, and need a bootdisc (like the real Dreamcast). Bootdiscs used in an emulator can be very dodgy though, so you'd probably be happier if you just stop here and find yourself a selfboot disc image. Granted, most disc images floating around the 'net are selfboot these days, but some douches still don't know crap about dumping GD-ROMs (nor proper selfboot conversions) and distributing non-selfboot images. In an optimal scenario, you should dump your own discs, but I'm hardly the moral police around here.
  15. My MAME32Plus has play counts stored in Mame32ui.ini, I don't know if that has been changed in different builds/version.
  16. I'm actually a 38-year-old, morbidly obese hambeast in real life. Thought I'd get that out of the way before you people start thinking that I'm somehow a masterfully toned and tanned 26-year-old playboy, with a respected job and blessed with a group peers that constantly turn to me for my advice ranging from dating to investment planning. As far as MF29's forum issues go, you can draw several tangents from my earlier post, with the most notable one being "INTERNETS IS SERIOUS BUSINESS".
  17. You don't need a BIOS to run Ninja Gaiden Arcade. Your romset is outdated, or you are missing the parent set. Note that the US set is clone of the World set 1 named Shadow Warriors. Said set also went through rom name changes in 0.108u1.
  18. Not a button. A MAME in-game menu entry called DIP Switches/Settings (I forget the actual name). Not all games that use DIP switches have region switches in them. If you have a japanese game and it does not have region DIP switches, you need to find of non-japanese romset of that game.
  19. Delete the site/board from your bookmarks and simply erase its existence from your memory. If you do happen to remember its existence at some point, just remember that the place was full of douches and not worth your time.
  20. I'm quite fond of King of Fighters XI and Maximum Impact 2.
  21. Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil. yeah, it can be definitely considered a "kids game", but it's a damn fine platformer, still.
  22. If by separate window you means the command window that shows all kinds of informs about registers, memory maps, etc. and that window says that it can find certain files while trying to boot the image, then that would suggest that either the game disc image is corrupt or it's not selfboot. If it's really not selfboot, you need a bootdisc (basically a disc that you boot up first, and then swap with the actual game when prompted). If I were you though, I'd just ditch that image and find another one. If IP.BIN is mising, that would usually mean that the game in question is not selfboot. The file in question is also called the "1st bootstrap" which is basically called first when you boot a Dreamcast game Since non-selfboot games cannot boot themselves, absence of IP.BIN is a dead giveaway. Syscalls.bin is a file that is needed with HLE GD-ROM boot (see manu item) that bypasses BIOS calls altogether, and can lead to many compatibility issues.
  23. It's still worth remembering that even though 2.6a has automatic savetype detection (provided that it is set to Auto of course), it still isn't foolproof in some games. So experiment by setting the savetype manually and then resetting the game till you hit the right one. Also note that your previous save is gone. If it gets corrupted, it's corrupt for good, so delete it and start from scratch.
  24. Man, I don't remember partying that hard. I must have been loaded or something.
  25. It has nothing to do with thew game being corrupt or anything of that sort. It means that the game can't read the save data, because No$Gba has been configured to use an NDS savetype that the game doesn't support (hence corrupting the save file when you try to load it. The latest free version is 2.6 which doesn't have automatic savetype detection. The latest true, non-free version is 2.6a which has automatic savetype detection among a host of other fixes.
