You don't know anything about torture until you've seen Cannibal Holocaust.

How do you know that's Yang? Just looks like some guy standing in the back... The sixth sense?

Is it just me or does every fighting game scream for more characters at one point or another? Well, ruling out some KOFs maybe. GGXX had an awesome roster.

Sorry for the frigid approach Fatal, but I just can't be assed to take part in another "what would you do" type of thread...just work out your problems and be done with it. This was a public announcement was sponsored by Adadis Pirated Sports Wear.

Don't ever take Mr. G too seriously...everything in moderation.

Correct. However all that "you must delete the rom image from your hard disk after 24 hours" that some rom sites claim in big letters; it's just an urban legend and a huge load of BS. -
No! If you don't use open source you are stupid and a n00b! Because I use open source I am clearly superior to all you Windows users, bah! Only the cool kids use open source, you M$ flunkie! And just so you know, the only open source programs I use are Firefox and MAME. i do hope you wasnt serious... trying to insinuate that im not cool... you must be delirious!! and open source programs like firefox and mame are for programming geeks!!! the type with glasses pocket protectors and short trousers which only go down to the ankle... not to mention braces to hold their trousers up!!! Don't worry, Mr G. just has short episodes of grandia every so often.

I hope you mean 2D fighting. EDIT: Well, K`dash beat me to the punch. @Ash: You can play Star Gladiator 2/ Plasma Sword 2 in ZiNc or MAME.

PSP for me. Call me a Sony buff, but that's how it goes.

You're gonna have to explain that one to me. I think it means that you shouldn't take things too seriously or believe that everything being said is automatically true... I'm not a native english speaker, so feel free to correct me.

I'm pretty much in control of the adware/spyware some some popups and certificates try to install because I've heavily restricted ActiveX object loading = Gives me more control...and there's always Google Toolbar. I don't sense much hostility, just different views; nothing wrong with that. @Ugenn: Are you using a *NIX derivative, btw? Linux?

All the more reason not to be using IE that being the case. There are far better alternatiives. Opera for instance, uses far less resources than IE on Windows. You think I haven't tried Opera? As I said, for some reason, other browsers just don't feel "right", less resources or not. well, how do you define "right" The other browsers force me to redownload flash/java/whatever plugins and all the other stuff. They had a tendency of 1) Screwing up my Favoites after importing 2) Not importing my Favorites at all for some reason. Other browsers have weird way of loading pictures and they seemed too slow when loading pages, java loading takes longer...or then I'm just paranoid. Either all that or then I'm just too accustomed to using IE.

I'll come out of the closet now...Internet Explorer 6. I live on the edge. Other browsers just don't seem right in this stoneage comp of mine.

Wrong. The graphics packs contain the original graphics, the only reason the graphics emulation (directly from the rom) has taken so long is because the graphics are compressed in the chip (Genius move from Tri-Ace and one hell of a headache for dumpers). On normal SNES carts, the graphics aren't compressed in any way.

Whoever invented Goatse and Tubgirl should be shot, hanged, drowned, shot again, decapitated and cremated. -

What's unfinished with that? Everything I can think of works fine... The NES emulators though...all of mine run really slow and chop up my music. Someone should fix those first. Some sound stuff isn't done yet. I don't know the names of the chips, but some aren't complete yet. But most of the stuff is done. It's called WIP for a reason, because there's more work to be done. TO add a few things, just becuseeverything seems to run ok, doesn't mean that the emulator is perfect. For one, the grahics packs emulation/loading code is far from polished. Secondsly, the sound chip isn't fully emulated, including "proper" noise generation. (SquareSoft games are know to rape the SNES hardware when it comes to noise.) Some games still require hacks to work porperly and SuperFX emulation is dodgy and slow, SA-1 chip has some timing issues and on the whole timing is imperfect. Jeez, it sounds from that like the psx is better emulated than the snes! Well, the actual timing is impossible to get 100% accurate. Since the clock rate of the original SNES wasn't always constant. As far as I'm concerned...SNES emulation will be done when an SNES Emulator (hopefully ZSNES) will be able to play Star Ocean... Dude, Star Ocean has been playable for over a year now. What the sam hell are you talking about...no its not...I've upgraded ZSNES everytime there was one available on the developers site...and all I ever get is a glitchy mess...am I getting the wrong rom, or what... Oh yes it is, you just haven't been informed... Star Ocean needs graphics packs to display graphics correctly, because of the S-DD1 chip it SO uses, uses compressed graphics. So ZSNES can show it on the fly and needs external packs. All S-DD1 based games need graphics packs, you can get the SO ones form DeJap's site. Just follow the instructions in the Readme by the book and you should be fine. The next official release most likely has on-the-fly graphics decompression, rendering the packs useless.
