Usually emulation errors aren't caused by the emulator being corrupt...As you can play it for a while... It got something to do with your computer or the plugins you're using.
A keygen is a serial key generator... It creates serials for a specific program. As for the rest of your questions, let me ask you this: What keygen are you using exactly?

Well...supposedly EGCG support the original garou.zip, but that's a friggin' 72 Meg zip!! If you try to replace the prototype's P roms with what found inside garouo.zip...No dice, nothing, nada, zip.
My Metal Slug romset has 4 V roms and only one M1 rom... Every NRX romset hs only one M1 rom. Get the V roms patch from -Link Removed. Read board rules.-, and get the P1 hack too. Post some CRCs and I'll look into it. Yes, you need the BIOS files
