  1. Donkey Cong Country...Man. that. game. ruled. (and still does)
  2. Find a hacked P1 rom, get yourself a Cheat.dat, use a trainer or use the Universe BIOS.
  3. Why don't they add a minibar and a toaster support while they're at it? Btw, just a heads up, although unrelated: The new version of ZSNES will have a toaster plugin. Courtesy of pagefault and Nach.
  4. not without a hacked NRX. 0.6b doesnt support 512k s1 roms (last time i tried, it gave me the same glitched out text just like when using the 128kb ones) all types of explosions. i cant exactly define it as a slowdown (as im sure it will still be a perfect 60 fps if you try looking at its framerate), but it will appear like a short stutter every time theres an explosion. theyre not supposed to happen anyway. try playing it on other emus and youll see what i mean. It's true that 0.6b doesn't support the 512k S1 rom, but that doesn't mean that the game won't work. The only "bug" it has is the glitched text in the charater select screen. I don't find this to be a major flaw. Ok, so even if Strikers has a slowdown in explosions (which I don't see apparently), slowdown gets you out of tight situations in shooters. If the game lags really bad, that's another story then.
  5. Then use an older version of NeoRAGEx, such as 0.8c If you want to play SSV, SVC or Metal Slug 5, EGCG is all you got.
  6. I've noticed that too. I root for a complete redraw of the sprites (preserving the original design to some degree). Opting for just a palette change sucks big things.
  7. I'm not going to look at those endings until I get the actual rom and I'm going to see those endings myself. Fifth
  8. P roms contain the program data. C roms contain the graphics. M1 rom contains the Z80/68k CPU calls/instructions. S1 rom contains the text. V roms contain samples/music.
  9. All Neo-Geo games excluding Samurai Shodown 5, SNK Vs. Capcom: Chaos and Metal Slug 5 work in the last official release of NeoRAGEx (v0.6b).
  10. Do you have the System Restore enabled? If it is, turn it off.
  11. Is there a particular reason why you want japanese versions over US ones?
  12. Well, MAME has always been too massive for me and I don't like to tear my hair out with multiple romsets for god knows how many systems. Also, the sheer amount of options in MAME is just overwhelming. All kidding aside, I must give props to the MAME Team for creating this emulator. Although it's not my favourite, it deserves recognition and always will.
  13. Except that Planet Emulation has been shut down. In case you folks didn't know...
  14. They P1 rom you might find is a single rom file probably names ssv_p1.rom. You need to rename it to.bin (given that all the other files in the SSV arhive are.bins) and then just add the file into that achive.
  15. Thaty would have been my next suggestion. Nice work.
  16. Yes, if your really into collecting Neo-Geo games...Hell, I haven't bothered to get Samurai Shodown 1-3, Last Blade etc. etc. because they're basically the same game as the last installment in their respective series. i have to disagree with the samurai shodown comment. 1 + 2 are most alike, but 3, 4, and 5 are not very similar. btw i dont collect neogeo roms, and ive got the whole series. 3 = different? It's still a Samurai Shodown game. I do have 4 and 5. i think that samsho3 is the one that stands out the most, it had the chargable pow meter, it was the first time they implemented the slash/bust system, and the sprite animations are a bit more fluid too. they only had 1 life bar, and this was when they added very strong attacks to the characters. the matches would be really fast because of this. sorry its off topic, but isnt this why threads are so great? they spark conversations. Ok, let's get a bit more off-topic (mods can put a stop to this if they feel like it. Sure, Samurai Shodown 3 was dratically different gameplaywise, but it was still a Samurai Shodown game. I don't like having several incarnations of the same game in my collection. I have samurai Shodown 4 only because it's the last Samsho game in the NRX gamelist and a damn good game. I have all Metal Slugs because they are different games. If all Metal Slugs would have same stages, I'd only have Metal Slug 5.
  17. You can fiddle with the cart in various way by using SNES Explorer gotten from http://www.zophar.net. But by doing this, you compromise the integrity of the rom and you might screw up the checksum = corrupt rom. The header has very little to do with the actualy rom extension. By the way, NSRT 3.1 has been released by Nach.
  18. Try to find a M1 or V1-4 patches somewhere....Btw, was that Soundlog about the crabs' samples or the zombie's samples? I don't remember what they're supposed to sound, sice I haven't played MS3 in a while.
  19. I'd choose Trigun or Noir...Damn, those are the best animes I have.
  20. Strider would be überl337ness as an anime.
