It's mostly due to the way Makaron handles the Flash files (read: nazi-style). That's also the most likely reason why I haven't been able to get anything booted with the emulator, regardless that I'm using the exact BIOS files as the author himself. I've even tried some things to "fix" suggested by the author in the documentation, but my efforts have proven fruitless so far. Although judging by the dev log, if you do namage to get any thing running in Makaron, the emulator would be the best thing since, well, all the other Dreamcast emulators. Well, the user interface is craptastic, so that's that'll turn away most regular Joes from the get-go.

I wouldnt really say useless because alot of people have modded and chipped ps2s that would love to be able to boot your ps1 games off the hd like they do with their ps2 games. I have 45 games on my ps2 with hdloader and would LOVE to actually be able to put ps1 games on my hd also. Granted i would probably only play a couple games ever couple months or so, it would be nice to have Except that this emulator is only useful for a few people; namely those you happen to have a PS2 with a HDD.

Ah, my bad, didn't see it the first time. MDS is similar to a CUE file, i.e. it describes the CD image used and how a given program should use it in oder to use it properly. If your sonic didn't comes with an MDS file, you are at a dead end. What you can try is to mount the MDF image, and make nullDc use the GDROM SCSI passthrough plugin for disc access. Configure it to read data from the virtual drive and use File --> HLE GDROM Boot.

You shouldn't need to convert anything. Mount the image with Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% and boot it. What emulator are you using?

I mean if it would hve been the best dawn BMX game ever, I mght have had second thoughts, but no. Why is it that most BMX games are utter trash, mostly falling over themselves because of poor design and bugs?

Use a tool like RomCenter with an up to date DAT for each system. It should be able to categorize your sets the way you want them to. Then just delete the folders you don't want. NSRT does the same for SNES sets, without DATs, but I haven't tried this myself.

Yeah, it'd be pretty difficult to get people from all around the world to gather at the same place at the same time. Sure, it can be done, but requires beastly effort from more than just a single person. And money. Lots of it. I'd definitely attend though. Just to see what kind of people you really are, if nothing else. Although I don't drink much, I don't turn down a decent drink if such is offered to me.

Yeah, Adblock plus does a pretty decent job, and FlashBlock complements that. Although FlashBlock does have its issues, like forcing you to keep and extensive whitelist unless you want to click on that little icon every time you want to view even one flash animation on a page. Ugh, those advertisements are indeed geared towards those with less critical thinking while they're on the Internet.
