  1. IIRC, Jet Force Gemini has some issues with the default plugin. Use another plugin (Glide64 for example) if your video card can handle it. Also make sure that your graphics card drivers are up to date.
  2. Graphics card,, as in that piece of hardware that is responsible for displaying all the stuff that appears on your monitor. Without one, you see nothing. You know, in this day and age, you're supposed to know what kind of computer hardware you have. No one buys anything with their eyes closed either. If DirectDraw and Direct3D acceleration are not available, no wonder every piece of software using 3D graphics fails. Check the Display tab in DxDiag and tell me what you see in addition the Direct3D acceleration etc,. statuses.
  3. Works like it's supposed to here.
  4. Usually 70+ years up to 100, depending on the country in question.
  5. A new Live-A-Live translation was just released the other day. It is, like usual, made of awesome and win.
  6. Your "card" doesn't like Dreamcast emulators because it doesn't support hardware Transform & Lighting graphics functions, thus failing spectacularly at displaying proper graphics. All current Dreamcast emulators need hardware-based T&L support from the user's graphics hardware. OpenGL and Direct3D support comes with graphics drivers, and you can't choose to install one or the other. It doesn't really matter anyway, since nullDC uses OpenGL to begin with, IIRC.
  7. What is your graphics card? Makes sure its drivers are up to date.
  8. No, your card name isn't OpenGL. It's an Intel® G33/G31 Express, just like you posted earlier. OpenGL is a rendering method, just like Direct3D. Applications and games use either one or the other when rendering 3D scenes. ... One thing you can try is to get an application called 3DAnalyze and enable "Emulate T&L caps" or something similar. Note that this isn't necessarily a fool-proof solution. "Played the N64 games" - what does that mean? Which N64 games? Also note that the graphics routines on a Nintendo 64 and on a Dreamcast are completely different.
  9. Spam. Because this thread is turning into such.
  10. Yes. The Skull Man and... let's throw in Ergo Proxy for good measure.
  11. Why exactly are you so adamantly going against Sony ever chance you get? I'm curious, as I don't remember seeing you present any kind of further arguments other than "Sony should be deleted etc." EDIT Ah yes, seeing how you come off as a rabid Sega/Dreamcast fanboy, it's no surprise that you'd blame the whittling of the Dreamcast's mainstream popularity on Sony.
  12. His specs aren't fine. The root of the problem is that integrated Intel chip, which is, to put it bluntly, utter trash when used with 3D emulators. The chips have always been trash and shouldn't be used in gaming PCs, period. Having said that, you won't be playing any Dreamcast games with any emulator until you get a decent graphics card.
  13. Well, BK is our resident cranky old man / bitcher, so what can you do. He can hate all he wants, and you don't have to put up with it... but I'm not going to start "herding" him just because you have to put up with his bitching. We are all entitled to our opinions, no matter how right or wrong those might seem to others. Still, Don't judge a book by its cover - Let's see how the final product really plays.
  14. My homepage is Telkku.com, a finnish, all-purpose TV guide. One can find my "homepage" in my signature.
  15. If newbie wants answers, newbie posts in the proper section.
  16. If MAME doesn't have drivers for it, fat chance of any other emulator playing it, even if you had the romset.
  17. I draw the line at MagicEngine, I tolerate it thanks to the fact that the TurboGrafx-16 doesn't have that many excellent games to begin with. I'm an advocate of completely free emulators, considering that a good bulk of emulator users play illegally obtained ROM images with one anyway.
  18. They just couldn't pick a more difficult name name, could they? Hell.
  19. You don't need the latest and greatest graphics card to enjoy DC emulation. As a general rule in emulation, the faster your processor is, the better. Why should a Core 2 Duo be responsible of glitches in the games. If there are going to be glitches, it's either from inadequate video hardware of from the poor emulation itself.
  20. Chrono Cross no longer needs the Odd/even bit hack to prevent crashing at the Status menu. Whee.
  21. Let's see... Silent Hill Origins (PS2) Forbidden Siren 2 Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner Space Channel 5 Origins is a rather strange bugger: It feels like a Silent Hill game, sort of , yet it does not. I really can't explain it, but it certainly isn't a bad game by any means. P.S. Ulala is hot. Kinda.
