  1. Sleep Eat Read Chat on MSN Write stuff And right now, its pumping out resumes and looking for work.
  2. Yeah, it wasn't Eternal Champions, it was definately an arcade game - not sure if it was ever ported. I will have to check out Time Splitters though. Is there some sort of list of SF clones on the net somewhere? I can't find one with google. And thanks for all the feedback!
  3. Okay, I remember playing this game many years ago in an arcade, when I was a kid. (I am now 23). I can't remember the exact date, but it was around the time when Street Fighter II - Championship Edition was out in the arcades, or maybe when Street Fighter II - Hyper Fighting was out in the arcades. Anyway, it was a blatant SF clone, and looked alot like SF. I can't remember all that much, but I remember some things. I remember one character was a ninja, dressed in ninja clothes, and one of his special moves was to throw a ninja star. His outfit may have been blue, or purple. Another character was a kind of bird man. He had green skin, and like a beak on his face. He looked kind of dorky. (He may have been a reptillian man, not sure). The third was a samurai, in ancient samurai armour, and helmet. He had red glowing eyes that shone from the dark slit of the helmet. He carried a sword, which may have been jagged. He was easily the coolest looking character. I distinctly remember his fierce punch was a stab with his sword - you would actually see the sword penetrate your opponent in the animation. The game had 3 punches, and three kicks, like SF. It was a best of three rounds bout. Large characters and pretty backgrounds, perhaps with parallax scrolling, like SF. There was an announcer, but I'm not sure he said, "Round One, Fight!" He said something like, "It's Showtime!" at the start of each round. That's all I can remeber. I've searched a few game databases on the net, including KLOV, but I can't find it. I would love to play it again, for nostalgia's sake, and because I love SF and SF clones. If you guys can help me out, I would really appreciate it.
  4. We are all here for you. take care of yourself, and don't dwell on the negative, even if it seems overpowering.
  5. This is what I've been saying for the longest time. This is a message board, not an online RPG. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's true, and I agree, but it would still make the battle system more interesting. I would love to be some type of vampire lord.
  6. The Sims sucks, reality TV sucks, the whole idea sucks in my book.
  7. I kind of quit when I was 19 and didn't really resume until I was 21. No games then really appealed to me, so I just stuck it out with an old Pentium 2 computer when everyone else were upgrading their machines to play the latest games. I think it is okay to take a break, especially when nothing is appealing to you - it makes you appreciate the games you do enjoy more, when you get around to playing them.
  8. I think it is abit wrong to compare. Both were tragedies. I donated $50 AU.
  9. It does look good, hope Raven does a good job. The Quake series is awesome.
  10. This is great news. I loved the first 2, even though I suck at these type of games and can never get very far in them.
  11. I didn't like the 2nd one, I thought it was very poor. Never seen the first.
  12. You can also download pre-set configurations for WinUAE, which set up the diagnostics (like Agozer described above) in one click. I have found the best configurations to be found at ALE, which has plenty of advice about Amiga emulation. Download the configs, extract them somewhere, then select them in WinUAE's config selection window. It will set up everything except the paths to your disk images and roms, which you have to specify yourself. You can also change screen size and resolution if you like, and playing with the sound lag is also recommended. Pick an ECS configuration for standard games, pick AGA for games that have AGA after them (these games ran on more special, powerful Amigas), and pick the "Old" config for very old games (before 1987 or so) and games which you have trouble working. Amiga emulation is complicated, but rewarding!
  13. Get a good job Try new things Stay healthy and fit Get back into doing creative stuff again Be happy
  14. Happy New Year to everyone! Hope your 2k5 brings you lots of joy, and lots of other great stuff!
  15. Too bad you don't get Final Doom, the levels in that game were awesome.
  16. Yes, that has been quite lucky. Now the great fear is spread of disease. Dirty water is everywhere. When I say dirty, I mean sea water with bodies floating in it, dirt, and sewage. There is no fresh water to drink or wash in. With all the dirty water about, diseases such as diahorrea (sp?), cholera and dysentry can spread very quickly. Disease can also be spread from rotting bodies, if they aren't disposed of quickly enough. The whole thing is surreal.
  17. Yes, noone was expecting it. It hit about 10 in the morning, when tourists where just coming out of hotels, or still sleeping in from Xmas parties. The waves generated by the underwater earthquake were at speeds of 500 - 600 km per hour, so there was very little time for reaction. Some of the waves were apparently 10 metres high, too.
  18. Quite the retro gamer, Robbbert! Interesting stuff. You ever played/bought a game that is as big, or bigger then a CD? I love old games too, but my passion is the Amiga computer, and Amiga gaming.
  19. I have a gmail account, and tons of invites too. So if you want gmail, contact me.
  20. Welcome Leathel. Good to have you on board.
  21. Indonesia and Thailand are such common destinations for Australians...my friends were just holidaying in Phucket not that long ago. My sympathy and well wishes go out to all those involved in this tragedy. It really does seem like one of biblical proportions.
  22. It is currently summer in the southern emisphere. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i wonder wihich part of the southern hemisphere is he, anyway, yeah it is hot, and I hate mosquitoes >=( damn litllle things <{POST_SNAPBACK}> With a name like Waco Jacko, I would guess he is from Australia.
