  1. That looks great. Modern game, retro feel. Lovin' it
  2. I always sound pessimistic about the media, and I don't like it that I do...but I can't help it!! This just shows how manufactured and fake pop music and MTV culture is. We have all known it for ages, just needed these slivers of proof to trickle through the cracks. Oh...and is that supposed to be dancing? It looks something you do when you are drunk. And what's up with her clothes? She is dressed like a cheap working girl!
  3. I just look at reviews to read about details about a game, not taking into account the score. I only decide if I like the game or not when I have played it. Reviews are all subjective, no matter what. Gamespot are okay, but they are far too nitpicky. They also write off almost every game that "lacks innovation" and I think that sucks. They also seem to go easier on console games then PC games, for some reason.
  4. Jeans, dark blue, not baggy, but not tight. Runners. I wear T-shirts, and I try to wear one's without some big name on them, because when I wear stuff like that, I feel like a walking advertisement. I like long sleeve, tight fitting tops too (I'm not buffed or anything though). I usually prefer darker colours, but lighter in summer. When I feel abit gothy/metalheadish/alternative, I wear metal braclets and metal necklaces - my fav is a necklace with a sword/dagger hanging off it. Or I wear a punk/goth bracelet, with studs and chains on it. It all depends on my mood in the morning.
  5. I thought it was a pretty cool plan actually. Stupid but cool. I guess love means more to some people then it does to others.
  6. Yeah, I saw that on the news, that was a really smart plan! And fresh, too!
  7. I can't help but feel sorry for them. I don't know how some people can be so insensitive.
  8. I use to be an absolute slave to MK when I was a teenager. Eat, sleep Mortal Kombat. All my money went into MK machines. Then I went off the series, but recently it has been coming back with a passion. I have been enjoying MK 4 on the PC alot, and Deception has just came out. And I have Tanya on my wallpaper.
  9. SNES was better for many reasons, but I have more fond memories of Genesis and Genesis games, to be honest. So I say SEGA! Streets of Rage Trilogy...Skitchin...Toejam & Earl...Road Rash...Lotus...Splatter House...Tazz Mania...Mortal Kombats and Fatal Fury...Castlevania Bloodlines...Robocop vs Terminator...Zero Wing(!!!)...*sigh*
  10. There's another cool modern-yet-retro shmup called "The Reap" if you can find it
  11. Quick question: The "All your base are belong to us" quote came from the Genesis game Zero Wing... ...but didn't it, or a quote like it, come from some game called "Bad Dudes," or something?
  12. Screw Halo 2! If this is news of System Shock 3, this is great news indeed!
  13. Yeah 666 Ghost, I got a good psychiatrist straight away, and you should keep shopping around until you find one that suits you and listens to you. I take Aropax, or Paxil, and I'm slowly getting off them. Another thing he (my therapist) helped me do is laugh at my problems and my insecurities - showing me how trivial they actually were. When you can laugh at your problems, you are half way there at defeating them Yes, I used to be quite shy, and have no self esteem whatsoever. None. Zero. Zip. Nada. Now I am anything but shy in most situations, and I actually believe in myself! I've become abit of a crazy nutter! Hang in there, 666. Things get better.
  14. Good review. I would have given the game an "A" though - I love it!
  15. I was depressed for a year or so not that long ago. Very deep sadness, and feelings like "I hate myself", "I'm a loser" , "I'm not good enough," "everyone is better then me," etc. Saying that stuff to yourself every minute of everyday makes you suicidal. Eventually, I went to a psychiatrist, and things now are much better. Not only did he help me out of depression, he helped me with lots of other things that had caused my depression - extreme shyness, social anxiety, being too much of a perfectionist, being too harsh on myself, etc. He literally helped me change how I view the world. Life seems much brighter now, because of these new perspectives and because I have overcome much of those aforementioned problems. I was also on antidepressants for awhile, and I still on them now, though the dosage is less. So yes, I would advise you to talk to someone - if friends can't understand you, then find a counsellor. And if they don't help, go to a therapist. They really, really help. (I found counsellors didn't really help - they just said simple excuses for me to feel better for alittle while, then the depression came back.) It's not easy getting over depression, if that's what you have - I am still battling mine, and it still resurfaces every now and then like some ugly sea monster. But the battle is so worth fighting, and once you start seeing (and feeling) the results, its the most satisfying and rewarding feeling ever. Don't do yourself in. Talk to someone. Don't take life too seriously. Good luck mate.
  16. Good luck Shiba, Yes, its always good to hear from you. Take it easy, mate.
  17. I play PC for new games, and emulate old consoles for old games, which I enjoy alot. Old consoles (and their games) pwn!
  18. I think that's great news. I saw a recent interview with Mel Brooks on tv, and he is as funny as ever.
  19. I liked it, but it was far too long. I think Ghost in the Shell did everything Akira did, but in 1.5 hours. I'm willing to give the live Akira movie a go, but I bet it will suck. And live Neon Genesis Evangelion is blasphemy!!!
  20. Is Vega a ninja? He is one of my favourite characters, too.
  21. I haven't watched too many episodes, but it definately has to be Kramer for me. I love his unorthodox take on life!
  22. Very sad about Boss Man...so many wrestlers die so young, you really have to wonder what's going on. Too many slams bad for your health?
  23. Just imagine the guy hadn't of pulled the trigger when he realised it was his wife. He would have then said "hey hunnie, I thought you were a monkey!" Then the headline of this article would read - "Wife shoots Husband after he called her a Monkey."
  24. Also shows how technology has progressed so rapidly. Some people would say far too rapidly. I wonder if he plays CS on that thing?
