What are these other sites with Mame updates James? My searches for alternative sources of Mame updates have proved fruitless.

What Is The Best Nes Emulator Around?
Chaotica replied to Dynamo's topic in NES & SNES Emulators [/pc/nes+snes]
I think FCE Ultra is the best emulator. It has run everything for me except Mach Rider. -
Yes, there was a third one. It was a great game, and, by some reviews, it fixed the problems of the earlier Beast games (ie: very had difficulty!) But I thought 1 was better. Beast 3 was still a beautiful game, with gorgeous sonics, music and graphics, as were much of Psygnosis' games, however. I know it was released on the Amiga, but I don't know if it was released on anything else. Try it on WinUAE, if you like.

Game Sequels You Would Like To See...

im not sure that the carmageddon sequel would be that great, the carmageddon series fell from the second one, Death Race 2000 just amde it worse... i dont know cause i havent really played it but the 1st one was the best hands down... ninja masters 2 would be pretty good, is Daruka Tenshi that game on MAME A.k.a The fallen Angels where it has that guy that looks like a woman, i thought it was a chick until i read the Biography, he/she let me down... Magical drop is fun, i would like to see another game of that, with more characters if possible and Interstate 76 is pretty good... i never really got to play interstate 82 though Yes, that's the game, Daruku Tenshi: The Fallen Angels. It is such an amazing fighter. I thought the second Carmageddon was the best. I reckon they should keep the series going, because there is always life in wacky/crazy/mindless violence type games. O O O, I would really like to see a Shadow of the Beast 4! On the condition that whoever handles the game does not flock it up with overly stylised 3d graphics and lack of gameplay, like so many games these days. In the right hands, and if they looked at what made the first three games so beautiful, a new Shadow of the Beast could be a masterpiece. -
Doom 3 and Thief 3!!!! *wets pants*

Game Sequels You Would Like To See...
Chaotica replied to wacko_jacko's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Well, most of mine have been said, but I'll add a few more: Starcraft 2 Diablo 3 Garou 2 Last Blade 3 SVC Chaos 2 More Mortal Kombat games More Carmageddon games I would like to see a Quake sequel that takes place in the Quake 1 setting. I loved the Quake 1 setting the most. It was so nightmarish and evil. I would also love to see Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness 2 Ninja Masters 2 Daruku Tenshi 2 Streets of Rage 4 Another Magical Drop game. Another Interstate game, because Interstate 82 wasn't very good. -
Farewell, and all the best.

Let MK live on! (Or should that be kill on?) It deserves to be back up with the best!

Well, which Beast did you like best? For me, it is hard to decide, but I think I liked the first one the best. It had gorgeous graphics and parallax scrolling, the intro was awesome, and the main sprite was cool. It was hard to play, but still playable. Beast II was great, but the parallax scrolling was gone. It was also extremely difficult. Beast III was really great too, probably the best in terms of playability. But I don't like the central sprite - he looks like an Indiana Jones rip off to me, and it always puts me off an otherwise great game. All games have great soundtracks too.

Is this copy a burnt game? If you have burnt it, or if it is an illegal copy, you are probably dealing with a copy protection that is telling you the cd isn't in the drive when it actually is. If this is the case, you probably need to either find a program that strips the exe file of its protection, so then you can take away its virginity, or find a hacked exe on the net to replace the chastity belt exe that you have. Try a site called Game Copy World if this is the case. They have heaps of patches. Or do a google search for "Dungeon Keeper Gold No cd" or "Dungeon Keeper Gold fixed exe."

That's so cool!

lol! It's "Toasty!"

He said "Toasty" - rewarded when you pulled off a cool move. I think, in MK2, if you pressed a button (or a number of buttons) when his face appeared, you could fight one of the secret characters - Noob Saibot, Smoke, or Jade, but I can't remember which one. Perhaps it was Smoke.

Fatalities were a key point of MK, but they weren't central. The fighting was awesome. Midway introduced a whole new fighting sytem. The action, the characters and the atmosphere was much more intense and visceral. The digitised graphics were also a refreshing change. It was good to see something give Street Fighter some decent competition, and it was good to see something different.

Just let it grow out and grow long. That's what I do. You can do heaps of funky stuff with mid length to long hair. And you don't have to worry about frequent haircuts.

What do you guys (gals) look like?

No way. I was a total Mortal Kombat fanboy freak when I was a teenager. I used to eat, sleep, breathe, dream the game. I think Mortal Kombat rules. It was a nice alternative when everything else was Street Fighter.

I thought Deus Ex was good...but for a FPS, the action in the game was awful. The weapons felt so impotent, and headshots sometimes worked, sometimes didn't. The action mechanics in the game should have been much, much better.

Random Guy, I feel exactly the same way as you about pretty much everything you said in your last 2 posts. I was born in 1981, and I loved Amiga 500 too. Stuff these days just doesn't feel right anymore!

Mr Bean was great too. Some of the funniest moments ever.

hmmm Comedy: Cheers, Fast Forward, Empty Nest, South Park, Are You Being Served? The Goodies Sci Fi/Fantasy: Star Trek - probably Voyager was my favourite, Dr Who Drama: nothing Cartoon: Masters of the Universe, Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Aeon Flux, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Thundercats, Silverhawks and anything with Road Runner, Coyote or Daffy Duck in it. Other: Iron Chef!

poor Yokozuna, he passed away, like so many other wrestlers. He used to be great.
