  1. Great argument, dumbass. 1 week temp ban for you!
  2. *snicker* Nah, I'm fine. But good luck.
  3. Bill Hicks was indeed a great comedian. Too bad he died.
  4. That reports says they might work together to make games which is completely different than gaming systems. Sony and Microsoft have a lot at stake in trying to win the greatest market share so I doubt they'll collaborate on that. Especially Sony since they are big in every media industry. Even though Microsoft doesn't not own any movie studios or music (I don't think they do), they would very much like to be a middle man in providing that kind of content to people through an entertainment hub which is what the XBOX 360 is trying to be. I expect the next XBOX to be an even more generalized entertainment machine. That is what Sony seems to be trying to do with PS3 which is why they are willing to risk a lot right now. It'll be another supercomputer capable of launching nuclear devices? But seriously, the inclusion of a Bluray drive is critical to Sony's business plan and future so that will be a huge marketing angle. If they win the next format wars then it will be greatly advantageous to them. If the machine is really more than $500, I think Sony is making a big mistake. Will people really pay that much? The PS3 will have to offer a hell of a lot to warrant that kind of price, something that regular folks (as in people not like us) can see the value in and go "Wow, I really need that." In the gaming area, they seem to have very popular exclusive franchises so that'll definitely be a plus, however, I see them losing some. Square is on XBOX even though it's just FFXI. It could be more in the future. Kojima says he wants to make separate games for each platform so he'll do more than just PS now. Capcom is probably going to be on all platforms. Rockstar ports their stuff anyway so not a huge advantage there. Their inhouse studios produce good stuff like Ico, Shadow of the Collosus, God of War, Guitar Hero (Harmonix is owned by Sony, right?) but I think one certain Microsoft inhouse studio's game will outsell any of those especially in the West. Damn, what a long post for basically saying that it's too early to tell what will happen. Sony will probably maintain their lead but lose it in the West, perhaps even significantly. There is no place but up for Microsoft in the West but not so in the East.
  5. Unless Sony has been secretly producing PS3s in an underground bunker, I don't see a feasible spring launch. But damn, $900 to produce, wow. I think XBOX 360 was closer to $600 and Microsoft can afford to lose that money unlike Sony. I'm very curious as to how much the PS3 is going to cost. I'm not certainly not going to get one anywhere near launch time so I don't have to worry about saving up for it.
  6. Diablo 2. I forgot how addictive this game really is.
  7. Use the Universe Bios and change it with that.
  8. Wow, now that is damn cool.
  9. /raises hand. Shoma, it's made it so far because it's a funny show. A cartoon doesn't need awesome animation to make it good, it's all in the writing. Although I'll admit the show has had its up and downs.
  10. I think FRAPS only works with Direct3D and OpenGL. Not sure though. The performance hit isn't too bad but it depends on what you're capping.
  11. I've stopped reading his posts that have any words fully capitalized. If I see that I just scroll on by. :-/
  12. There we go.
  13. It's been a long time but I think you have to rename uni-bios.rom to neo-geo.rom and put it in the ROM directory.
  14. Home Improvement sucked.
  15. But now it's all hip and cool with a down and out hero who just has to bomb everything to make everything right.
  16. Hey, Animaniacs was the last good cartoon us 90s kids got. Like I said earlier, the day that Pokemon was aired on television in the US was a sad sad day for mankind.
  17. That's a really stupid hat.
  18. I didn't even realize this was spam. Thanks for the heads up Drake. But yeah, TMNT was the greatest. Even Ninja Rap was good! That was such a funny part of the movie.
  19. Elazul, you don't have to get HDTV. The government is probably going to subsidize Digital to Analog convertors for people who will not buy a digital capable TV. The signal is digital but that doesn't necessarily mean it's high definition as K'dash mentioned. They will do this because they need the analog frequencies that TV is currently using for communication for Homeland Security for example.
  20. I'm going to wait till SEDs are out to buy a new television. Those are hot. http://gear.ign.com/articles/679/679235p1.html
  21. For WinKawaks just place the uni-bios.rom file in the root Kawaks folder. It has to be named uni-bios.rom though with no version numbers or anything. It will automatically take precidence over any other BIOSes.
  22. No, he's a scammer.
  23. Sony's answer to XBOX Live? Seems so. http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=c...d=2270&Itemid=2 And here is something I found interesting at Gamespot's Rumor Control: http://www.gamespot.com/news/show_blog_ent...pic_id=24324060
  24. The integrated Nvidia Soundstorms were very good. However, integrated graphics is a big no for gaming.
  25. These are all that apply to me: *You remember a time when the Internet didn't exist. (I think us mid 80s born people have it the best.) *You've ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!" (Sadly...) *You can sing the rap to "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air" (Now this is the story all about how my life got flipped turned up side down so I'd like to take a minute so sit right I'd like to tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air." ENOUGH!) *You know that "WOAH" comes from Joey from "Blossom" and that "How Rude!" comes from Stephanie from "Full House" *You remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons. (flocking piece of crap anime...) *You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school. (Whoever finished their math tests first and got the highest score was allowed to play! I always won. Muahaha!) *You remember reading "Goosebumps" (God those are terrible) *You know the profound meaning of "Wax on, wax off" (RIP Pat Morita ) *You have pondered why Smurfette was the only female smurf. (A topic of many a conversation. GANG BANG!) *You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school. (Only TMNT but that was the best anyway) *You remember the craze then the banning of slap bracelets and slam books. (I found my slap bracelet in my room a few weeks back. Why the hell were those so popular!!!?) *You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence...Not... (I sadly still do this...NOT. LOL ROFL) *You remember "I've fallen and I can't get up" (Don't flock with Steve Erkel.) *You remember going to the skating rink before there were inline skates (I always hated skating anyway) *You never got injured on a Slip 'n' Slide. (Who the flock did?!) *You remember boom boxes vs. cd player *You knew what it meant to say "Care Bear Stare" (flock the Care Bears) *You remember Alf, the little brown alien from Melmac and Vicki the Robot from "MY Little Wonder" (Alf was awesome) *You remember New Kids on The Block when they were cool (Sorry, they were never cool...) *You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By The Bell" (What a crappy show) *You played and or collected "Pogs" (I was a Pog champion!) *You watched the original Care Bears, My Little Pony, Transformers, and Ninja Turtles (The best shows ever. What about Pee Wee Herman though?) *You remember a time before the WB. (The WB wasn't bad till they started showing Pokemon. It went downhill since then) *You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" *"Talk to the hand"... enough said (All you young kids who have ruined everything, talk to the hand you flockers.)
