Nintendo is aiming to make the Revolution an affordable console so it will attract a lot more people. The way to do that is to sacrifice graphics power and have a more friendly input system (the controller). Supposedly the Revolution won't even do HD resolutions. However, good graphics != good game.

Well if it's free then no harm in trying it. And yes, it has LAN play. One of the biggest problems with Halo PC is that it lacks co-op.

1.) Probably not. They are aiming for more famliy friendly titles. But I'm sure there will be mature games on it just like there were for Gamecube. 2.) Because the games for the XBOX 360 don't seem to appeal to the Japanese. Nationalism could also be the reason but I think it's more to do with the games. I was surprised that it did worse than the original XBOX in first week sales.

Shoma, the freehand controller is the controller. However, it has a port at the bottom where you can attach it to other things. One such thing is a tradition controller shell. Think of it like the memory slot for Dreamcast controllers except putting an entire controller in it and then using that as the controller.

I still can't belive that people don't know that the cradle was a mock-up made by IGN and not from Nintendo. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was a mockup but Merrick (or some Nintendo exec) has said that they are considering one based on the Wavebird, of course after the IGN mockup was shown. The controller has the capability to be placed in a traditional cradle so it'll be like a normal controller. However, that cradle is supposedly based on the Wavebird controller and the GC controller isn't really best for fighting games either. So yeah, I don't know how well fighters will play on this system.

It's different, that's for sure. Whether it's fun or not will be determined when the games come out for it. It's really too early to tell. However, all the first hand accounts with it have been positive. Some members of the press were able to play around with a prototype version with demo software and they said that it just worked naturally. I'm excited for it because it's really different. Nintendo has really been on a hot streak for me with the DS so that's why I'm not brushing it off. I laughed at the DS because I thought the dual screens and touch screen were stupid ideas and I was proven wrong.

It's alright. I'd rather play it on XBOX, and I'm a diehard PC FPS player. The PC port runs surprisingly crappy on some machines. The mouse and keyboard doesn't really add to much on the PC. Multiplayer was fun over the Internet with it though. Multiplayer is where I think the Halo series really shines. I was never taken with the single player for various reasons but goddamn it's fun when playing with friends. Yes, I don't hate Halo anymore.

Will Vista require DX10 cards? I know it's going to ship with that but I'm sure it won't be required to upgrade. However, what's this buisness about having a protected monitor to view DRM videos? That sucks.

The 7800GS is hot. It's nice to know they haven't forsaken us AGP folk just yet since it's still a very viable interface. But I'm waiting for DX10 cards. No use upgrading from 6800GT for like 2 games.

Buy me the game, ship it, and give me a month and I'll give you a review.

Yes, I love Terry Zwigoff's work. It's not top 10 material but it's part of my "Good movies that I like to watch more than once and will eventually buy" list. And add Bad Santa to that list. I just noticed it was missing. And I think Scarface is probably the most overrated movie ever. Pacino's acting was absolutely incredible but that doesn't make the rest of the movie any better.

I agree with K'dash. The lack of a touch screen is huge because that method of input is what makes the game special. Not to mention it has a stupid flocking name. The title of this topic should be 'Dog Happy Life' (PSP) no match for 'Nintendogs' (DS).
