  1. There is one problem with Symantec Corporate and that's the startup scan bug. If you notice whenever you boot into Windows it takes forever for stuff to be up to speed, it's because of that. There is a registry fix but I can't remember it.
  2. Sintax has alerted us via this post that he has released the first version of Win2DS. Here is what he has to say: »» Original Thread/Download
  3. I hope you don't mind me mirroring it on my webspace. This is just incase if that free webspace goes down. http://www.thesevenwords.com/downloads/DS2Key011706.zip http://www.thesevenwords.com/downloads/DS2Key011906.zip
  4. It is available on marketplace. It's been available for over a week since the CES keynote.
  5. Those pics are too high res to be taken from realtime footage. It's probably one of those screenshot things where you can output something to a much higher res.
  6. Another vote for Avast. Although I used Symantec (the Norton guys) Corporate Antivirus 10 which wasn't bad.
  7. Hahaha! He's almost a flocking guido.
  8. Why does post count even matter? I say we get rid of post count all together.
  9. I thought these kind of referrel things were frowned upon here...
  10. Boycotting because of an accident? The whole region system is flocking stupid anyway.
  11. He was this guy that claimed he was a time traveller from the future. He made all these predictions about stuff that would happen. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Titor
  12. Well they were the publishers so they're supposed to take care of that even if they didn't buy Firaxis. They bought them after Civ 4 shipped. Either way, I don't really see this as bad as a move as others have. As long as Take 2 keeps their flocking hands off BioShock I don't give a crap what they do.
  13. I'd rather get a PSP than that Archos thing to watch full length movies because it can double as a gaming device which might eventually get good games . I'm not into watching movies on the go. It's pretty neat though, I'm going to look into it some more later. But those prices for that ipod you linked are flocking outrageous!! That 20 gb one is being sold for more than a 30 gb video straight from the Apple store! Whoever buys that deserves to get ripped off. The reviews for the Lyra are less than flatterring though. But yeah, it sucks that the ipod video can only play 2 formats. I was hoping it would atleast play mpeg2 but unfortunately it doesn't. That pissed me off but I found a really neat program that converts videos pretty quickly. It converted a 300+ mb file within 10 minutes so I was very surprised. Infact, it's converted a bunch of files right now in the background. I hate watching movies on handhelds (I got a mobile DVD player as a gift once and returned it 2 weeks later because it was such a crappy experience) and am just going to use mine to watch science lessons while I'm waiting in between class so I don't have to worry about movies.
  14. That doesn't make something less of beautiful piece of engineering. It's overhyped and trendy because it's simple, elegant, and most importantly easy to use. I care more about functionality than if something is overly trendy or overhyped. iPods have always delivered for me. I wouldn't say they're VERY overpriced, just overpriced. If you are a college student you can get the 30 gb iPod video for $279 which is $10 more than the iRiver one and the same price as the Philips. They've always sounded fine to me but I'm no audiophile so I can't really tell the difference unless it's big. The only other iPod I had was a 2nd gen one and that has some major annoyances but I've heard they fixed all of them. What annoyances are you referring to? My Dad got me a 60 gb video today which was quite a surprise so maybe I'll put that on ebay and get a better video player one if there are legitmate annoyances. I'm sorry but that's a really dumb reason to not like something. If you plan on getting the iRiver, try getting it from Amazon since it's 30 bucks cheaper there. I saw it earlier today while searching for a new mp3 player.
  15. I'd go for the iRiver since they're pretty good quality. My cousin had one and I was very impressed with it. But I have a question, why do you hate iPods?
  16. It's the samething here. G, PG, PG-13, R, and NC-17. And of course my favorite, X. But I'm not really interested in this movie. The trailer didn't really appeal to me. I saw Munich instead which was great.
  17. This man is such an immature prick. I'm amazed how such a man can actually have a wife and children. The Internet brings out the worst in people. Ugh.
  18. Here is a year old BBC documentary on Nintendo that I think is interesting. It was done before Iwata took over so a lot of it is about how ruthless Yamauchi (whatever his name is), the former head of Nintendo, was. I'm still watching it (a little more than half-way through) but so far it doesn't really focus on the games but more of the controversy and such. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2687866789001698114
  19. It would be pretty cool if Mac had a media center machine. If it weren't for games I would probably most want to use OS X. Vista is basically catching up to OS X Tiger. Here are two funny videos illustrating that. The audio is from the Microsoft CES keynote address where the guy is describing features in Vista but the video is of OS X. That just shows everything Vista has in store has pretty much been done by OS X. http://www.maclive.net/sid/134 http://www.maclive.net/sid/135
  20. But I would not be suprised if they're working on this in secret. Publicly they may be denying it since they're partners with other PC vendors and they might not want to distance them yet by becoming a direct competitor.
  21. Eric Schmidt denied this already.
  22. The fact that he's still doing this is so sad. XXL-Enigma, if you're reading this, YOU'RE A GODDAMN MORON! Don't you have anything better to do?
