Another erroneous fact in that article was that the game industry makes more than Hollywood. That isn't true.

Nintendo seems to be aiming for a broader market than either Microsoft or Sony which are people who don't play games. That is a HUUUUGE market. Will Nintendo succeed? I don't know. But they're doing quite well in roping in people who never played games with the DS.

wtf; LIES! Remember those used PSX games I once told you guys about? I received those on a monday via FedEx ground! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was shocked too. I called again later to ask another of their representatives and she said the same thing. I was very close to calling her a cunt but I realized she doesn't make the policies. What pisses me off is that the tracking page STILL hasn't been updated. The tracking page. What the flock! Has it still not been scanned in yet? They even got rid of the Estimated Delivery date. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> either 1)their tracking is seriously fuucked up 2)there is a chance that there are probably some packages that ppl paid more money than you to have them shipped faster so yours is probably considered "low priority" and will be shipped once some other those other ones have been ..but must likely number 1. I remember I ordered some headpones through sony's website and they sent the package through fedex. I was hoping to receive the package after two days, since it was shipped from L.A. But noooo, I received it like 4 days later. I even checked the tracking page and it was all fuucked up. It had supposedly gone from L.A, to San Diego, over here, then back up to Ontario, back to L.A, and back over here <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I think it's #1 as well. That and a combination of stupidity.

They do deliver on Saturdays till 8 PM. They don't deliver on Sunday and Monday. This is Fedex Ground Home Delivery. I had a very long and very angry chat with them yesterday and that's what they told me.

Currently:* Athlon XP 3200+ Shuttle AN35 Ultra Radeon 9700 Pro 1 GB PC3200 Mushkin 1x250gb, 2x80gb, 1x30gb HDDs Antec SX-830 with Thermaltake Silent Purepower 480W (my Antec one that came with the case died a while back ) What was supposed to come by Saturday but will reach here on Tuesday instead (damn FedEx, bunch of flocking liars): Athlon 64 3800+ Asus A8V Deluxe GeForce 6800 GT 1 GB PC3200 Corsair XMS Raptor WD740GD (74 gb 10000 RPM)* Antec Sonata* *My Dad is going to get my old PC minus the harddrives and case plus he's going to get the case and harddrive from my new computer. I was able to convince my Dad to get it for me by offering him my computer. He is quite pleased with the transaction. I wasn't planning on upgrading till games went multicore and DX10/WGF video cards came out but this deal was too sweet to pass up. $570 including shipping for a computer that's worth over $1000 still not including shipping at NewEgg.

Losing money on hardware is nothing new. Sony is probably going to lose even more on each PS3. Surprisingly, Nintendo is the only ones that didn't lose money on hardware. I was surprised since the hardware wasn't that bad really, better than what the PS2 had IMHO.

Only 3rd? That seems like quite a high position to be in the first place.

It's a sad state of affairs. Hopefully this will shed more international light on what's going on over there.

Kojima has already started development on a game for Revolution.

I'm not getting a DS anymore. Atleast not for a while. I blew that money on a new computer.

This is a bump but some very good points were made. Especially the point that Sony and Microsoft already have the general market cornered so why should Nintendo do the same?

They do it not because they're fanboys of another company, they do it to piss of XBOX fanboys (or anyone who buys the console at launch). They're probably going to do it with PS3 and Revolution too. I think it's a waste of money but I think they've achieved their goal of getting a bunch of people pissed off at them.
