I think Sony is relying too much on the Sony fanboys which I think is a bad idea. Unless the PS3 offers a lot more than the XBOX 360 then people will not want to pay. However, if you do think of it the PS3 is a BlueRay player which would cost a good $200-$300 at launch by itself.
I heard about this and it's horrible. I'll bet you this bombing won't have the same amount and style of coverage as the London attack. I hope they find the flocks that did this. One thing I've wondered is why the proper Muslims (99% of them) don't use their strength in numbers to silence all these radical clerics. Are there movements like this because I haven't really heard of any.
Do you remember the Muslim guy that was tackled by police officers yesterday in London and then shot five times which killed him? Well, HE WAS NOT CONNECTED TO THE BOMBING AT ALL. Such gross negligence cannot be tolerated even if it's in the name of national security.
The larger issue is at stake here, not the individual. I could care less about Hot Coffee since it was lame anyway. But if people start attacking user created content then that's not a good thing. Thompson is a class act opportunist and shit head. He'll the ambulance chaser of the game industry.
I remember reading that the PS3 would debut for around $400-450 and they'll be taking around a $75-100 hit on each system. But I'm afraid that number is just a low estimate.
Heh, I remember this Kutaragi gem: "for consumers to think to themselves 'I will work more hours to buy one'. We want people to feel that they want it, irrespective of anything else." Yes, I want to work more hours to buy a game console.
