  1. Why is it FPS and not a RPG or MMO? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm expecting it to be an FPS with RPG elements like Deus Ex. But it is possible to make it a pure FPS but I hope they don't do that. I yearn for a good Shadowrun RPG. Shadowrun is a cyberpunk pen and paper RPG which is really fun to play. Two console RPGs were made on the SNES and Genesis (they are completely different games and not ports) so that brought some awareness to it. You can try finding the ROMs and giving them a go. http://www.shadowrunrpg.com/
  2. I was thinking of posting pictures but this place is pretty censorship heavy.
  3. An interesting article that has opinions from gaming industry people: Todd Hollenshead (CEO of id), Vince Desi (CEO of Running with Scissors; the Postal guys), and Derek Smart (CEO of 3000AD and also the biggest joke in the industry): http://www.gamecloud.com/article.php?article_id=771
  4. How will downloading it make it fail? It'll just spread it. I think they'll be glad that people are downloading it just so it can spread the message. You are stupid. Well no crap this won't be on any store shelfs. Retailers won't even sell AO games. It's not about being PC, it's about being a decent human being who respects people despite their ethnicity or religion. If decrying a racist work makes people PC fools in your eyes then so be it. What if there is a really well made puzzle game but it deals with trying to stuff as many Jewish people into a gas chamber or oven, would you still play it because "it's a good game?" But I do agree that so far everyone's reaction here has been pretty stupid. And about this being a good game, it is highly unlikely that it's a good game. But hey, if you want to try it out just to see if it's a good game then go right ahead. I expect the game to be like Postal 2 but extremely lame without much of the freedom or gameplay.
  5. No, the publisher has to tell the ESRB what exactly is in the game. From the ESRB site: And read this from a game developer: http://playfulpassion.blogspot.com/
  6. No, it's not actually the ESRB's fault for not finding it. It's Rockstar's for not telling them about it.
  7. I'm pretty sure they don't have to figure out what to do. They aren't idiots, they made the game so they know how to remove content. And where did you get this $160 million for fines? That's absolutely ridiculous.
  8. This kind of publicity only helps them. And what's this giving gaming a bad name crap? They have racist music and movies. Does that give a bad name to them? No. It's just another medium to distribute their propaganda. Just ignore these extremists and let them grasp as the few short straws they can get at. They're just a vocal minority so they scream loud to be heard. No matter how much we don't like this kind of stuff it's still going to be around for those few very ignorant people.
  9. No, you're not a little slow, you're just doing that to get an extra post. And please, don't respond to this.
  10. I sleep with my face down but wake up facing up. I toss and talk in my sleep.
  11. I could use some good coasters for when I move out or should I just keep using failed CDs? Those are pretty cool but I'm sure those can be replicated easily.
  12. Ah...so games are incapable of being good on the XBOX 360?
  13. Yet you watch crappy shows like Naruto (just anime in general). Your opinion is void. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> u know, i'm not the only here that watch Naruto, ok. Star Trek is boring to me and i don't like it and my opinion does count!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's a better reason for not liking it but you can't argue that Star Trek is too nerdy because you watch anime! That is probably the nerdiest activity.
  14. Yet you watch crappy shows like Naruto (just anime in general). Your opinion is void.
  15. Because we live in a very backwards culture. Going on a rampage and bludgeoning 100s of people to death is alright but we won't stand for that sex crap. The only reason this happened is because of the pressure brought on by Senator Cunt...I mean Clinton. But this is all good for Rockstar since they are getting so much publicity from this. They are probably glad all this is happening.
  16. Fixed. But this sounds interesting, I'm going to get this tonight. I'm in the beta for Auto Assault but I havne't found time to play yet.
  17. Owned by me. http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php...topic=14140&hl= Locked.
  18. You want to install two OSes on two separate physical drives or two separate partitions? If they are paritions, I think they're too big but that's up to you. What you do is install the first Windows on one drive and the second on the other. Then it will recognize it as having 2 OSes and then give you a choice to select when you start up. Also, the RUN command is msconfig.
  19. No, there is a larger issue at hand here (I haven't even played the game). We are living in a society where intense violence is accepted while anything dealing with sex isn't. Now I'm not saying the game should have a sex minigame, it only be there if it's fun and enhances the gameplay. It shouldn't be there just for shock value and I think Rockstar realized that and removed it from the game. But they didn't get rid of the code and art assests because it's a lot easier just to lock it out. I'm talking about the bigger picture. The game is already rated Mature for Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, and Use of Drugs.
  20. So your argument is basically saying that they have no logic to realize how much their brains are being affected? Anyone who goes into war already knows the consequences they are about to face. They become mentally prepared, but obviously not enough. It's the major problem in any army or group of people designed to destruct other humans. They are trained physically, but not mentally. Of course, the realization still stands, they have the ability to do so. But also the most honest explanation is that how many extremely smart people will you find in war? Most of them are high school graduates who barely even graduated. However, I still think it's possible. Self discipline is rare, but can be found. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I never said there is no logic to realize how the brain is affected. As a future scientist I really want to know how the brain is affected by war so we can better avoid and treat it. What I said was impossible is the thing about thinking of the place as a heaven. That would require massive amounts of drugs. I do agree that they should prepare them more mentally (they do a little bit but it's obviously not enough) as well as physically. I guess that's why drill sergeant are so tough, it's to build mental endurance. But I think it's really tough to mentally prepare someone for seeing your squadmates and other people die around you. There is only so much you can do. Self discipline is rare, unfortunately not everyone is like Ryu.
  21. They are constantly under incredible stress so it is IMPOSSIBLE to do that. A lot of people downplay the roll of stress in society but it can destroy your mind. You can't cover up the realities of war with such ideals of seeing it as heaven. They're too busy trying to stay alive to worry about that.
