The MX-1000 is a hardcore mouse. I would never get the Optical Desktop Elite but that's for personal reasons. I HATE the way they've changed the layout of so many keys, especially the six keys above the arrows. flockers. Most new keyboards are like that too, even the Logitech but I'd go with them instead.

Once I couldn't change keys so I manually changed the defaults in the INI and it worked.

Ok...try this. In your Kawaks folder there is a file called defaultkeysMVS.ini. Make a copy of that for safe keeping. Then open that file and delete all the text in it. Then paste this in it and save the file: You could also try unzipping Kawaks again in a different folder and see if it does that again. If it does, download a copy from somewhere else and try again.
