  1. Not too shabby. Definitely a major upgrade for them.
  2. Uninstalling DirectX is a biatch. You're better just reinstalling it again. Make sure your graphics card drivers are also updated.
  3. I just discovered a new reason why Google is the champion: Google Print. Instead of having to read the chapters I'm supposed to, I just used it to look for key words. Here's an example: http://print.google.com/print?id=W0V9bya1i...WgU7mC5ZXHmUAlA
  4. http://www.opengl.org/applications/installing.html#5 Q. Where can I find the latest OpenGL driver for my graphics card? A. Go to your graphics card manufacturer's website and download and install their latest OpenGL driver.
  5. I think every card supports OpenGL. RTCW should work fine on it since it's an old game.
  6. I changed the topic title to make it less VS-ish. Though we've had these discussions before I'll let it stay open since we don't want this place to stagnate. Anyway, I chose Game.com. That thing was badass.
  7. Well that's because Command Prompt isn't DOS.
  8. Ok, it's about time we have a serious discussion instead of the usual pointless game crap we always talk about. If you don't know what this case is about, check the stuff out here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terri_Schiavo and http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&i...tnG=Search+News But the jist of it is that this woman, Terri Schiavo, has been clinically brain dead for 15 years and her husband wants to remove life support because he says it is what she wanted. Her parents object to that and have been trying to keep her life support on. Just the other day a judge decreed that her food tube be removed. So, what are you opinions about this situation and what would you like have done to you if you were in her position? As a spouse what would you do and what would you do as a parent? Please think before you post and lets not escalate this into a flame war.
  9. I tried it out a long time ago, I didn't like it. Plus I hate the name.
  10. Project Snowblind is the other games (besides BiA) that I have to get.
  11. Yeah, it's only DX8.1. I mean, even if it did have DX9 support it wouldn't run that great. Most games now still have DX8.1 support. Performance-wise I don't really know since I never checked on benchmarks for it. It all depends on the kinds of games you are going to play. Well atleast one thing is true, it's better than the GeForce 4 MX.
  12. Oh, well he's a shameless plug for my site (I never use the.tk): s7.invisionfree.com/2emulation.
  13. I didn't fill out my bracket in time so I'm can't play. I'm the only one with 0 points and everyone else is in the 20s. It sucks.
  14. Oh crap, I forgot all about the PCI-Express thing.
  15. It's a big deal because it's unfair to the players who don't take steroids and it's not good sportsmanship. That'd kind of like saying it's ok for kids to cheat in school because the fair tradeoff is that they won't know anything later.
  16. Well I haven't really heard much about DFI but I checked up on NewEgg to see the user comments and they seem to be quite positive. http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc....MP=OTC-d3alt1me and here are user reviews for the Neo4: http://secure.newegg.com/app/CustratingRev...item=13-130-484 I'm sure either one will suit you fine. You should compare and contrast the features and stuff.
  17. You do realize that there a huge contradiction in what you just said, don't you? Or then I'm stupid. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I kept reading it over and over again trying to make sense of it.
  18. Oh yeah, I also have to turn it on for System Shock 2 otherwise the game speeds up and slows down as you walk. Goddamn synching..
