  1. Alright, here are some of the points made by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. Also, image gallery for new Zelda game: http://www.nintendo.com/screenshotgallery?...1-8f72874aee2e& Video: http://media.nintendo.com/mediaFiles/52937...6f11617d1ab.mov http://media.cube.ign.com/media/572/572738/vids_1.html http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?si...=thread&order=0
  2. Alright, here are some Unreal Engine 3 videos: http://www.1up.com/do/download?cId=3138759
  3. A lot of people find the Unreal series bland and uninspired. I just find them fun. But Unreal Engine is completely different from Unreal since people can make any kind of game with it.
  4. Biggu dikku is the funniest but also the most likely to be completely made up.
  5. Oh my god...I think I actually agree with NeoMaster on this.
  6. Hahaha! This is why I'm my own tech support. That and the people on Anandtech.com.
  7. I must try out this Advance Wars game.
  8. Hahahaha! That was awesome. What a badass. I wonder how many hitpoints he lost.
  9. Yeah, imagine Carmack's next (hopefully not last) engine. Pure graphical awesomeness. You kind of wonder how anyone will improve on UE3.
  10. More XBOX 2 stuff. Microsoft Licenses Unreal Engine 3 for many games: http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/594/594677p1.html \o/ Meqon and AGEIA have announced physics SDKs for XBOX2: http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/594/594690p1.html http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/594/594689p1.html Hmm...I'm actually thinking of getting an XBOX 2.
  11. Hehe...damn Sony and their Emotion Engine! The main reason I'm not discounting the CELL architechture is because of IBM's involvement, they have some of the most advanced technology and some of the best fabs.
  12. Nope, no mod chips. Well usually no mod chips. That's the magic of the Dreamcast. Almost anything can be done by using bootdiscs.
  13. Part 2 is up: http://xbox.gamespy.com/xbox/microsoft-xbox/594355p1.html It basically says that Microsoft is going to enable a universal account system for the XBOX2 which would be pretty cool. It will also have Gamer Creds for those who take gaming a tad bit too seriously. You'll have rep points and blah blah just read the damn article. Basically none of that stuff interests me but I can see it being huge with most normal gamers.
  14. The standard 12x DVD drive wasn't really all that surprising since HDDVD drives would be expensive to put in. But I think that will only hurt them in the future when the other consoles are using Blu-Ray etc. The CELL is definitely a revolutionary processor. It's theoretical (I must stress theoretical) performance is nothing short of astounding, that's already been established by their technical presentation. But I don't think any game developer (maybe only a couple of Sony-exclusive developers) will be able to exploit that in a way to make games any getter than what will be seen on XBOX2. But they are releasing open source compilers for programmers to learn how to work with and take advantage of this thing. I don't think Sony would make the same mistake of making their system as hard to program for as the PS2. I'm sure the production costs for the CELL are phenominal so that's a minus against them. NeoMaster, those specs basically tell that the XBOX2 is going to be quite powerful.
  15. Did you try running them after loading them? I think you press F3 to run. Maybe Two9A implemented load and run but I'm not sure.
  16. I was just reading the topic title and I have a question. What is a simulation RPG? I understand it's a crossover but is this going to have simulations? Please unconfuse me.
  17. Here's a new interview where some of my questions are answered: http://www.cgonline.com/content/view/451/2/ Also it'll take about 25 watts of power which isn't too bad. If it's around $100-150 I probably won't mind. Well I won't mind till the majority of games start using it. But since there are quite a few games that have licensed the Unreal Engine 3, I'll probably cave. But $400 is going to be a bit steep I think...meh. So now that's going to be ~$500 graphics card + ~100-400 physics + cheap as hell Audigy. My next upgrade is going to be a biatch.
  18. Actually those specs are less than what was predicted. The rumors were 3x3.5 ghz PowerPC CPUs. Everything else was pretty much correct, the next gen ATI, the 256 RAM. The camera is quite surprising though. However, I think the PS3 will be more powerful. The PS3 will have 9 cores in a single CPU, and is likely to have 2 CPUs which means 18 processing units. But the XBOX2 is coming out this year, PS3 isn't.

  20. This is definitely great news. Thanks a lot Magnis. We'll be here to help you with your site too.
  21. Well it's being posted everywhere else so might as well post it here. # CPU - Xenon's CPU has three 3.0 GHz PowerPC cores. Each core is capable of two instructions per cycle and has an L1 cache with 32 KB for data and 32 KB for instructions. The three cores share 1 MB of L2 cache. Alpha 2 developer kits currently have two cores instead of three. # GPU - Xenon's GPU is a generation beyond the ATI X800. Its clock speed is 500 MHz and it supports Shader 3.0. Developers are currently working with an alpha 2 GPU. Beta GPU units are expected by May and the final GPU is slated for a summer release. The final GPU will be more powerful than anything on the market today; in game terms, it would handle a game like Half-Life 2 with ease. # System Memory - Xenon will have 256 MB of system RAM. Keep in mind that this number should not be equated to typical PC RAM. The Xbox has 64 MB of system RAM and is a very capable machine. http://xbox.gamespy.com/xbox/microsoft-xbox/594331p1.html
