Mods and admins are exceptions to the rule since they are our watchers. Gazing down at us from above waiting to strike with a "Sorry! No ROM links!" or "Closed!." But yeah, it would be nice if more people posted but you can't put a gun to their head...or can you?

haha mr.gryph chill out man.. im not some uneducated kid whos looking down on evolution.. i had share of ap bio and regular bio.. so dont take me as if i dont know what im talking about.. Well if you know as much as you say you do you wouldn't have used such a poorly structured arguement. A scientific hyptothesis must meet two requirements and you should already know this since you took AP Bio so I won't explain it: 1. A scientific hypothesis must be testable 2. A scientific hypothesis must be falsifiable. Science is a process of learning, it keeps changing. No one knows everything which is why there are so many hypothesis and so many experiments done. How do you learn new things without exploring new ideas? Also, theories are rarely proven wrong so I don't know where you got that from. A prokaryote is single celled organism without a nucleus or organelles. They are basically the simplest form of life and are found everywhere even where no life was thought to be found. "Nothing in biology makes sense except in the light of evolution." - Theodosius Dobzhansky (1900-1975)

Ofcourse I believe in that because I have SCIENCE and PROOF on my side. You just have faith, that's nothing compared to scientific research. I had to go take a shower and go to class but when I'm at work I will have time to respond to that. But this one just caught my eye: What the flock do you thinks they do experiments and research for? Do you even know what a hypotheisis is?! Don't use words that you don't know and don't say things that you can't defend with proof or a decent arguement. I am not attacking Christianity or any religion. Hell, if I still believed in God I would probably think that God put that single prokaryote in the ocean and said "Let there be life! LOL!"

No, not at all, the Atomiswave is like the Dreamcast. But the games look similar on those two systems.

Ok, a single person changing is NOT evolution. And when people say Darwin's Theory of Evolution is just a theory, don't know that in the science the word theory means a lot more than how it is normally used. In science a theory is "an explanation or model based on observation, experimentation, and reasoning, especially one that has been tested and confirmed as a general principle helping to explain and predict natural phenomena." Read this: http://home.comcast.net/~fsteiger/theory.htm. It's a pity people say and believe things without actually knowing. Also, many scientists have stopped using the word Law since its too strong. In new textbooks you'll see Newton's Law of Gravitation as Newton's Theory of Gravitation. And the ape evolve to human is absolutely incorrect, that is the general idea that lay people who don't know anything about evolution so they casually and incorrectly describe it as that. Humans and apes (we're all primates) share a common ancestor and evolved from that. Hell, humans share a common ancestor with sea stars since we're both deuterostomes. EDIT: And there is PLENTY of proof of evolution.

I too prefer PS7 even though I'm using CS now... CS messes up for me sometimes and then it doesn't let me use any cursors. It pisses me off.

Well the first answer can't be answered at all since no one knows why God created man (assuming you believe in God). But I think man created God out of need to justify their existence and to make sense of the world. Also creating a God figure could keep people in line. Also the existence of God gave people a purpose in life, to do things to become closer to him (I'm using him because its easy, not because I think God is a him).

Samurai Shodown 5 Special (samsho5sp.zip) Released
Gryph replied to Alpha's topic in Emulator Releases [/emu]
Minor? They seem to be quite major to me. But it doesn't matter since the game itself plays fine. -
You are gravely mistaken about what evolution is...it doesn't explain migration or any of that stuff. It's about how organisms advanced from single celled prokaryotes to humans. Geographic data is important when discussing evolution but it in no way explains it.
-
Uh...I believe in the process of evolution because there is just so much proof supporting it.

Daikatana completely erases all of Romero's successes. Actually his role in games at id isn't as important as most people think. He was just there from the beginning...there were more important people at id during that time. And CJF isn't out yet.

I just mentioned it once 2 posts ago... the conversation didn't switch to it. L.S.D, here are the sucesses of John Romero: Final Doom (1996), GT Interactive Quake (1996), id Software The Ultimate Doom (1995), GT Interactive DOOM II: Hell On Earth (1994), GT Interactive Doom (1993), id Software Wolfenstein 3D (1992), Activision Publishing, Inc., Apogee, GT Interactive Commander Keen 4: Secret of the Oracle (1991), Apogee Commander Keen 5: The Armageddon Machine (1991), Apogee Commander Keen 6: Aliens Ate My Baby Sitter! (1991), FormGen Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion (1991), Softdisk Publishing Commander Keen 1: Marooned on Mars (1990), Apogee Commander Keen 2: The Earth Explodes (1990), Apogee Commander Keen 3: Keen Must Die! (1990), Apogee Here are Miyamoto's: Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Pikmin...he's just the base God of all gaming. Almost everyone in the industry has been influenced by him and this he's the greatest. EDIT: We should get back on topic. CFJ will be good.

What's so hot about spending time with loose whores who takes massive loads on their face on film? It's a pity that Daikatana was THAT bad...I mean it wipes out Romero's previous successes. But yeah, Miyamoto should have been mentioned. I'm not much of a console gamer but his are the games I've truely enjoyed.

To turn a profit you have to find a prime location for the arcade. As the saying goes "Location, location, location." You can have a relatively sparse selection of games and be situated near a school or movie theatre and turn out some money. If I were going to open an arcade, I would also have a section for LAN parties and crap like that. Who knows what things will be like when you're older...the arcade business is steadily going down the toilet.

They aren't.

None of those CRCs match anything I've seen...

I think Fatal Rose is the best person to guide you on this. But Photoshop is the standard in image editing. Or you can get The Gimp which is free and just as good.

Pft...CliffyB sucks. He talks too much. The true game Gods are: John Carmack, Sid Meier, and Peter Molyneux (the last two were interviewed in yesterday's show which made it so cool!)

I like the new DM and SDM special effect...that's about it though.

You have a man-god? You fag. Is he a Capcomologist?

crackdown on illegal software downloading
Gryph replied to PLasticSlug's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Yeah, the size of games these days is a huge deterrant to downloading for me. I'd rather pay them and get it over with than be like "Ok! 3 days 12 hours and 23 minutes left!" And remember, time is money. -
