  1. he must take pide in being your "understudy", well that or he just got laid, but I think it's cuz he's your understudy. HA!! I don't think we know each others names. His name starts with an M, that's for sure. But just a little while ago I used him as a shield. We had to fill some DI water into the jug but in order to get to the DI water dispenser we had to go through a class where a teacher was teaching. So I told him to go first and open the door while I rolled the cart in. Muahahaha! LOL! I dont get it! Allow me to explain for I have a few moments of rest as my understudy is standardizing the pH meter. In all labs the water used is de-ionized water, or DI water, which is basically perfect water with no pollutants, no ions, no nothing, just H2O. But the massive jug we use was bone dry so we needed to refill it. The refilling area is in another part of the building and inside a lab where it seems a class was going on which is very rare in that lab. It's mostly there just for research. And the teacher teaching the class was the head of the biology department. You see undergraduate school is not about learning anything, rather it is the quest to get shining recommendation letters and maintaining a 4.0 while being actively involved in extracurriculars. Learning has no place in the schedule of a med school (or most graduate school) candidate. So I don't want to interrupt her class and make her think that I am rude individual, so I sent my understudy in first so if anything would happen, he would get the blame. Luckily nothing happened and I got an affirmitive nod from the professor so I was happy. And that biatch just came in the lab to congratulate me on doing research over the summer (I really had no choice) so I just faked a smile and said "Ah yes, I just love doing this." College sucks...
  2. Nope. Both Duke Nukum 1 and 2 are DOS only. No cookie for you and DOSBox punishment. Argh! No DosBox!! And it's Nukem, not Nukum. 3DRealms Games page The very original releases were named 'Duke Nukum', but 3D Realms changed them later to match Duke Nukem 3D. He name was always Nukem but changed to Nukum for v2.0 of Duke Nukem I because of some alleged copyright issues. Look what I found on the 3DRealms FAQ: And this:
  3. Yeah, it's still 3 on 3. Trend schmend, Kim could destroy all 3 of them anyday.

  6. Well they better not kill Kim or I will go apeshit. Hopefully they are tweaking him for a triumphant return in KOF2004 with awesome ass kicking moves, more speed, and better sprites.
  7. Well there definitely seems to be DVDs of them...now you'll just have to find rips of it. Good luck lancer!
  8. Oh really? I didn't read that they were ingame demos. Now I definitely can't play them here. After I beat DN3D again, I'm going to do the speed runs. But I'm actually in the mood the play Duke Nukem 2, one of the greatest side scrollers ever. I wonder if there is a Win32 port of that game otherwise I'll have to use DosBox (which I have installed but never used).
  9. Is there a reason you are going to do that? Or just doing it to do it? I need to get used to staying up all night and still be able to think clearly because I'll have to do that in a few years. I want to do it just for the hell of it. .....and for the serious disorientation that follows. Studies show that staying up that late is actually worse than being mildly intoxicated. Atleast when driving is concerned, but mental skills also show deterioration.
  10. Well I am at work again and my understudy (I like to call him my understudy because it makes me sound important) just came in with a stupid grin on his face. You're in a biology lab!! What the hell is there grin about?!
  11. It would be even greater if you'd provide a link. Demos and others can be found here http://www.geocities.com/e6y/doom.html Unlike the Quake 2 Done Quick with a Vengence, which had runners. Doom 2 beaten in 14.41 Minutes was done by 1 person. Dammit! Now I want to go home so I can watch those videos!! For some reason this Mac doesn't ever show video, just audio and it won't auto download any codecs. This thing uses Mediaplayer 7.1!!! What a piece of junk!
  12. Yeah, there was a serious lack of questions in that quiz. But all these quizzes are stupid and never get anything right.
  13. Is there a reason you are going to do that? Or just doing it to do it? I need to get used to staying up all night and still be able to think clearly because I'll have to do that in a few years. And its not a stay up marathon, it's stay up-athon.
  14. But the game wouldn't even run if he's using PAL on NTSC. And I'm pretty sure my MOTW is all synced up. I'll check it out when I go home and I know its an Echelon rip.
  15. Uh no it isn't. It's the next KOF for the Atomiswave arcade board.
  16. It would be even greater if you'd provide a link. Definitely. But Doom II in 14 minutes on the hardest setting...that is true skill. I'm sure he just went right past most of the enemies but its still awesome. In Duke 3D I can't even get close to the par time or the 3DRealms time but that's because I take my time to explore and look for everything.
  17. Its a pain in the ass to make some games bootable but that Megagames guide is good. Also the games need to have VGA compatibility otherwise they won't work either. Atleast that's what I hear.
  18. Is this a negative or a positive thing for him? I hope for positive. it's a negative even tho many like this kind of emulation there are many who are against the idea as well. Yeah, I can understand that since most emulation purists only want to see old systems emulated, not some systems that are still going strong or have just retired, so to speak. I think any advancement in the world of emulation is a good thing no matter what. The systems will be eventually emulated but the sooner they are shows how advanced the actual programmers have become. But I do understand their point of view.
  19. That was a good movie. You mean the fake one? It was a cool video but that guy who made was a definite loser.
  20. Well I'm sure that news will be plastered all over E! So she was impregnated by Marc Antony while he was still officially married to that other chick? Oh well, I don't really care but it will damn fun making fun of her and her baby.
  21. Hmm...I used to watch anime back in the day and none of those ring a bell. You can try some anime only DC++ hubs but I'm sure they require massive sharing. I think that would be the best place to look for rare stuff. And if those never came on DVD or were on TV a long time ago, you probably won't find them on the net. I don't think many people copied movies from VHS to computer.
  22. I remember downloading this last year and playing through Doom again. Great times. It's a pity that cheats don't work in Nightmare mode...otherwise I would have beaten it. But I'm sure some hardcore players who have nothing better to do have done it before with the help of massive saving and loading. Quick saving & loading is your friend.
  23. Sounds like a great plan. Atleast the Dreamcast part.
  24. Ofcourse. Point and click adventures are almost exclusive to PC.
  25. Kind of like how Halle Barry doesn't have the skin tone for Catwoman. They'll bend the rules to the max if they have to just to have an uber sexy chick fit into the costume.
